Just back from this beautiful hotel and grounds. A good choice of menu, and attentive staff. Fantastic views over the Bay of Naples worth paying a bit extra for a wonderful sea view room

Looks straight over to Mount Versuvios' views are stunning. Good choice of food whether it be breakfast, lunch by the pool or evening dinner. Rooms cleaned and towels replenished daily

Came here for a 1 week holiday and got into my room. The place is great, nice clean room, good food, great views and a huge clean pool

There is a shuttle bus that goes down into Sorrento

the only problems are The hotel is too far away from the city and it evreything is pricey and if you want to walk onto town there is practically no side walk but every thing exept from that is great

The only bad side is that the beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable, even after changing room it was the same. There was little variety and the menu was repetitive

We were also facing a wall, which was very disappointing as we thought that by booking through an agent over 9 months prior , we may get a room with a view of the pool or the garden

Staff are all welcoming and attentive ensuring you are looked after led by a very passionate boss who personally showed guests around his own garden. Great sea views from our room on 3rd floor

Another poster said that people that are not staying at the hotel use the pool which now makes sense given what I saw there during my stay. Also the fact that people smoke by the pool etc

I was not sure about the lace thing I was going to post until I read what someone else posted and it confirmed what I experienced. The pool area is always crowded

Our stay at this hotel was amazing from the moment we arrived. The short ride on the golf buggy through the art-filled cave was a fantastic start. The room was bright, and the bed was very comfortable

We opted for half board, and both meals were lovely, with the staff providing excellent service. The dinner backdrop was breathtaking

It is situated on a cliff so a lot of the hotel is on different levels, with 5 pools that cascade into the next

We love coming here as it is a good launch point for reaching the Amalfi Coast and the history surrounding the Vesuvius eruption. The food at the hotel is very well presented

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary in early September. This is a beautiful hotel with gorgeous views, relaxing pools, comfortable rooms, and yummy breakfast

Patio area unfortunately just faced a wall so the views were limited. Bathroom hairdryer was old and weak - could be updated. Reception staff were very helpful - organizing meal reservations and recommendations

This is our 3rd time here at the hotel. Its beautiful and the staff are so lovely on the reception. The hotel is in such a lovely location overlooking Sorrento

Our favourite time is at breakfast when you sit outside overlooking the city and hear it waking up with the hubbub of bikes and car horns below

Absolutely fantastic experience. The place is old school elegant without the stuffiness. We had a Prestige corner room (709) on the top floor. It had an impressive terrace with incredible views

Unfortunately, both my husband and I fell ill during our stay, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of

The facilities are very welcome but I wished that the pool would not close so early. Executive club lounge is well stocked and a reason we originally came. It's a 10 minute walk into Sorrento and not all that difficult

We were treated very well, with an upgrade to an executive sea view room, which was fantastic for working and relaxing. The restaurants were well staffed with highly professional and hard working staff

Best Hilton brand hotel I stayed at in Italy (been to Como, Venice and Waldorf Rome). The views were spectacular from my room, the top floor is a executive floor with lounge and pool

Fantastic stay here, so close to Sorrento town. Kids loved playing in the pool. Views of Naples bay are amazing. Great buffet breakfast, definitely recommend.

The service was great and the hotel is beautiful. The kids LOVED the pool and didn’t want to leave. We will be back and recommend this for folks with kids

Nice hotel, with a lovely citrus garden. Has 8 pools, one indoor. Free wi-fi and a Breakfast buffet.

I remembered Michel who works at the front and another Michel at the pool and literally everyone in staff made it so comfortable for me, my baby (who they all adored) and my husband(he is not a city person so Sorrento was heaven for him!) We really did not want to leave at all

The roof top bar is unbelievably the best spot to be when visiting the hotel especially at night. The pool facilities are private and quiet, the rooms are spacious & super comfortable

Michel gave such great service at the bar with the freshest best orange juice and went out of his way to find sweeter wines for us (He may have climbed many steps to get it for us!) I will definitely come here again!

The garden area was so tranquil for breakfast & lunch, our dinner experience in the main dining room was exceptional especially the service. Mario Samuel & the team were always accommodating with all your food needs

Great location in the heart of Sorrento. Close enough to restaurants and shopping but located in a quiet area so that you can relax if desired. The rooms are lovely and very clean

This was a spectacular hotel with a great location in Sorrento, beautiful pool and seating areas, and a truly gorgeous room! Gian Luca was the gentleman who checked us in and gave us a tour around the hotel amenities, and we were generously given a room upgrade for our two night stay to a gorgeous suite, which was such an unexpected and kind gesture! Will recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in...

The service is the best I have had. Breakfast is amazing and authentic itilian while offering items from more countries. The beach area is rockey but has a great view and great staff to support

The room has a bit of an old design; however, the sea view room gives a wonderful view of the gulf of Naples. Service of the hotel staff was good too

Did not stay here but was in the locale and visited the bar. Stylish, luxurious, discrete and surrounded by beautiful gardens, the Royal is an opulent oasis on a quiet boulevard off the main Sorrento thoroughfare.

This hotel was part of a Costco package so we were not aware of how amazing it was before hand. We came to Sorrento because of the package but when we return it is because of this hotel

Wow just wow, the service was amazing and so was the room. Beds were comfortable and the view is sensational. Food and drinks were great, the whole setting is amazing and the staff are so friendly

Our Golden Wedding celebration has been enhanced by this lovely hotel. All the staff have friendly, attentive and caring. We were upgraded to a suite overlooking the harbour

There was no one thing in particular, but we found ourselves searching for staff at the pool, at the entrance, at the restaurants for assistance rather than having staff present and looking for ways to help guide our experience

After having stayed at multiple 5 star locations in Italy prior to reaching this hotel, it's clear someone at the top was instilling an off service attitude that did not come off at genuine or hospitable for an establishment at this level

There are damaged sunbeds and mattresses by the pool - why not just remove them rather than leave them out as an advert for "we don't care"

We were expecting a beach and was told before we booked that yes there is a beach with a free bus to it however it's NOT a beach. You can get in the sea if u jump off rocks or steps

Quite frankly I've never been treated better in my life, they genuinely can't do enough for you! Across the board fantastic service. Wild rabbits by the jacuzzis aren't for everyone but I loved them!

Everything is fabulous, our room, spotlessly clean, huge balcony, with view of Mount vesuvius. The staff, so friendly and helpful. We've taken bottles up to our balcony in the evening

Honestly I can't recommend this hotel enough. Aside from the spotless rooms, amazing views and incredible food the real stars are the staff

The rooftop has amazing views of the sea, sunset and Vesuvius and the rooftop bar/restaurant is good. The gardens on premise are beautiful as well. Room was comfortable and well acquainted

Number one recommendation for this place is Maria at the pool bar. She was friendly and efficient and just made us feel at home

12 minutes walk to city center. It has free parking which is a huge bonus. Rooms are a bit outdated but very clean. Could have enjoyed a coffee machine in the room ,😔 it is pricy but worth it 🙂

Is the best hotel we stayed in Italy and the view is gorgeous! Also a nice gesture from hotel that serve FOC snacks and drinks (including alcoholic) from 12pm to 7pm (probably low season)

Only negative is you lose the sun by the pool a little bit earlier due to being on a lower level

Grand. Views from our rooms were perfect but hotel over all needs some love. Simple things like pool / pool area needed a good clean.

Very nice hotel. Not new but clean. Good swimming pool. The stuff is very helpful. A little bit far from the canter but they have a shuttle service. Very nice sea view and privet beach.

Guests of La Residenza can take advantage of the beautiful gardens, pool and allowed access to the private beach! It isn’t slap bang in town, but easy walking distance and well worth it for all the extra facilities which you get here

With that being said the outdoor facilities are simply amazing - best view of the ocean! Nice pool, nice staff. Beach costs 20 euro per person per day. Really nice beach, but rather expensive

I will definitely be coming back here! They have fellow hotels near one another so you can use the pools and other facilities in other hotels which are just a few minute walk past a beautiful park, with lots of flowers, palm trees and gorgeous birds and sounds

Pool was closed in September which was disappointing. Decent rooms, good check in and staff. Amenities for the 4* hotel are provided by the 5* sister hotel in the same grounds and are excellent

Our room was spacious and the bed comfortable. It could use a dresser with drawers for clothes if you're staying more than 2 weeks. Our room was cleaned and refreshed every day

Staff are extremely helpful. Food was good with decent portions. Rooms could do with a little upgrade though. Location is excellent and the swimming pool was large with plenty of sun lounges.

Rooms are small but you're hopefully not in your room in this full service hotel 2 bars, dancing, breakfast and dinner on the 5the floor everyday no charge, beautiful huge pool but also a place to get out of the sun near the pool area with shady tables and service

It is well situated, just a few minutes from the town centre, but quiet. The food is excellent, the breakfast menu is amazing!!!

Our three year old loved the pool where the children all gather towards the end of the afternoon. Less than ten minute walk into town although the road can be busy and the pavement/sidewalk not too wide

The hotel was old style but it all adds to the charm of the place and the grounds are stunning and our room was clean. We had our two year old with us and the Italians love to make a fuss of her which she loved

I was worried about my stay when I read the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. Staff are very friendly and welcoming which I haven't felt in along time at a hotel. The guests there are also very friendly

It was an anniversary trip, and before we went, I contacted Antonella to arrange some flowers for my wife on arrival and there they were. Nothing was to much trouble and we really liked the vibe of the place

This hotel is in a good central location, very close to tra in station, restaurants and shopping. Very nice pool area, which is the perfect place to relax and cool off on hottest day and hotel time

In addition to this, there is a TV with a small selection of English channels and many Italian channels. There is a small pool to the back of the hotel, with a small lemon garden behind this

This review is going to be a bit long (filled with good comments and compliments), so I’m going to start by saying I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is among the best (if not the best) hotel I’ve been to

Room 208 had a shower, and room 207 had a bath/shower combo. Although there was some wear and tear, everything was still clean and in good working order. There was also complementary soap, shampoo, etc available

In both rooms there was a kettle with complimentary tea and coffee sachets. Each day, this was refilled if you had used it. There was also a small minibar (not complimentary), although we dis not use this

As with most hotels with this view thats the thing you are paying for A little way out of the centre of town but that helps with the price and is an ideal location if you want to spend the day at the hotel by the pool but may be hard if you want to visit town lot Rooms are basic but have everything you need Staff were extremely friendly and upgraded us for free

One of my favorite hotels on the planet. There is nothing negative to say. The rooms are lovely, the views are spectacular, the terraces and poolside area give you a nearly 360 degree view of the harbor in Sorrento

Hotel Cristina is located high on a hill, with beautiful views of the city, ocean, and mountain in the distance. The room is very nice & clean with a small balcony

I am staying here for 2 weeks room nice food top dollar views great we stay here again best place in town we never forget the views

Half the jets in the large shower didnt work either but the rain showerhead was very nice. Also we did not know that the beach was an additional cost, as well as the rental of towels at their private beach

Having the private beach was really nice too, especially if you go there early in the day because the chairs will fill up pretty fast

We ended up going up the street to the lovely ruins and enjoying the sea for free

My wife and I stayed there on our Honeymoon for 5 days and the view was outstanding. Morning breakfast was very good, but unfortunately the restaurant closes down on September 30th each year

I regret I didn't review this magnificent place after nearly a year. The food is excellent, the staff is dedicated and professional. The deluxe double room with a view is fantastic

Our Hotel was located within walking distance of all shops and restaurants. we will definitely stay here again next year!!!!
