The hotel - there are better places as a venue for conferences, great. Conference for 500 people was perfectly organized, with no queues and delays. Rooms are comfortable.

The hotel is built on the hillside, facing the sea. The restaurant has a great view, where you can have breakfast while overlooking Mount Vesuvius

It is located near the mountain and a little far from the center. The breakfast is delicious with many varieties. The room is relatively large with a full sea view and a view of the volcano

Nice hotel, with a lovely citrus garden. Has 8 pools, one indoor. Free wi-fi and a Breakfast buffet.

The hotel is halfway up the mountain. The lobby is grand and there are many 🍋 trees in the garden. The room facilities are average and drinking water is not provided

The transportation is also convenient, and it is a five-minute walk from the town. It is also close to the pier and the station

This deluxe Resort is located right on the Main Square. At the Entrance, you will be greeted by a Hostess. She will take you to the office to fill out a form ( they really want to know who you are - all about security)

We had breakfast on the balcony every morning and a few dinners overlooking the bay. Everything about the hotel felt royal. We also ended up meeting one of the owners, Alessandro, on the last night

What a great dining experience this was on the outside Terrace overlooking the bay of Naples. The food, although very pricy, is worth every penny

It is delicious, served by professional staff (I have only praise); the location and views are breathtaking. It will blow you away; it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you will NOT regret

Lovely afternoon Sunday lunch on the terrace with stunning views of Sorrento coast with wonderful food and excellent service.

Watch out at the pool, can be slippy around the edges, two people we saw ended up with broken bones, but they had been boozing in the pool!

My first impressions were that it has once been a very grand hotel with beautiful decor and impressive gardens that now looks a little tired and dated in some places. However, this adds to the charm

At the back of the room, chef was cooking pancakes and fresh egg products. Lunch was served in the pool bar. Even though there was a set time with a ‘help yourself’ feel, there was still food to be had after these times

There were singers, disco music and dancers by the pool. There were quieter areas for those who prefer the quieter life. It was nice to see families together playing cards etc. I didn’t see any play areas for children

There was never a big queue for drinks and staff were efficient n friendly. Plastic cups around the pool in the day and glass at night. Some were made better than others. Entertainment was enjoyable at night

That’s when I had pizza and chips mostly. Ice cream was available at times. Information was displayed around the pool bar. Soft drinks came from bottles but were all proper brands

As the aircon was not great I managed to upgrade to a 4th floor sea view room with small balcony - loved it. Rooms cleaned well each day and all towels changed. Good minifridge/bar, but no tea/coffee facility

The views of the bay over to Vesuvius and Capri were stunning and the sunsets a sight to behold. Our room was comfortable and the shower was excellent. Could have done with more cupboard space for storing clothes though

Some great specials such as red snapper, linguini with lobster - all washed down with great selection of wines at reasonable prices. The hotel is up a very steep hill 15mins walk to Sant Agnello or 30 mins to Sorrento

We had the bed and breakfast option and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. The evening meals were definitely worth staying in for. Eugemio, Goivanni and Giuliann were amazing hosts and kept us entertained

There was a free bus service down into Sorrento but it did get oversubscribed at busy times. The hotel did their best to make sure everyone got there doing more than one shuttle

There is a regular hotel shuttle but bear this in mind as taxis €20 to 30 - and in the height of summer the walk is bit of an effort ! I had a great holiday at this hotel

Guests of La Residenza can take advantage of the beautiful gardens, pool and allowed access to the private beach! It isn’t slap bang in town, but easy walking distance and well worth it for all the extra facilities which you get here

I will definitely be coming back here! They have fellow hotels near one another so you can use the pools and other facilities in other hotels which are just a few minute walk past a beautiful park, with lots of flowers, palm trees and gorgeous birds and sounds

Pool was closed in September which was disappointing. Decent rooms, good check in and staff. Amenities for the 4* hotel are provided by the 5* sister hotel in the same grounds and are excellent

Very nice hotel. Not new but clean. Good swimming pool. The stuff is very helpful. A little bit far from the canter but they have a shuttle service. Very nice sea view and privet beach.

With that being said the outdoor facilities are simply amazing - best view of the ocean! Nice pool, nice staff. Beach costs 20 euro per person per day. Really nice beach, but rather expensive

The walkout balcony with a hot tub, overlooking the bay was breathtaking for sunrise and sunsets. I had my suitcase lost/stolen at the Rome train station

We stayed in this hotel for 4 days. It is built into a side of a cliff with breathtaking views of the Gulf of Naples. Our room was facing both the pool and the sea, which we would marvel at every morning

The views, the room and amenities, the service, the beach club, the drinks, this hotel had it all! Also, the best hotel shower we have ever encountered!! The comfort of the beds, pillows and every aspect of the room were unmatched

Max Pollio at the front desk said that he would continue to contact the police at the station in an attempt to find my bag. It was a new suitcase but I had a new (never worn) 700EU pair of Ferragamo shoes in there

So the hotel was amazing and we will stay there on our next Italy trip but you cannot get better individual care than at this hotel. When you stay there ask for Max, tell him Robert sent you !

Having already paid for our stay at the hotel for 6 nights, we were offered a voucher for the full amount and valid until 31/OCTOBER/2021, which I accepted

The only minors we experienced was that the room is very old fashioned; shower curtain and the air conditioning. Staff was very friendly at breakfast, at the pool and at the reception

Daily breakfast was plentiful and some gluten free options. Shower curtain was a dislike, but that's personal taste. Pool area is an attraction especially in summer months I imagine. Alot of space, deck chairs and a bar

If I could give this hotel 6 stars I would. The service from the very start to the end was absolutely amazing. Location was wonderful, and the breakfast buffet blew me away

I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were just lovely! The staff are nice and friendly. The bfast is also amazing. Lots of pastry choices! Truly enjoyed my stay.

Recently stayed here for 3 nights while on a holiday, the room was superb and the location was great. Having shutters on the windows and a balcony was a nice touch

The only downside was that the buffet breakfast was a bit plain. I would happily recommend this accommodation for anyone who is coming to Sorrento

Traveling in the off-season, the price/performance ratio is very high. The room type was upgraded for free, but the room was close to the garden and there were mosquitoes

Hotel Grand de la Ville is elegant, comfortable, and perfectly located. The staff are warm and attentive, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the rooftop pool offers stunning views

I remembered Michel who works at the front and another Michel at the pool and literally everyone in staff made it so comfortable for me, my baby (who they all adored) and my husband(he is not a city person so Sorrento was heaven for him!) We really did not want to leave at all

It takes about 7 minutes to walk from the train. The hotel is very clean and tidy, especially comfortable. The hotel checked in early and the staff were very friendly. The hotel has a rooftop with a great sunset view

Great location in the heart of Sorrento. Close enough to restaurants and shopping but located in a quiet area so that you can relax if desired. The rooms are lovely and very clean

Everything was wonderful and the breakfast was very good. The roof top bar upstairs was very romantic, and there were also people playing songs. It was a wonderful evening.

Front desk Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough to assist you to make sure you had an enjoyable stay. The huge veranda overlooking the Bay of Naples was amazing for drinks and lunch.

Surely one of the most beautiful hotel locations in the world. Absolutely stunning vistas over the bay and towards Vesuvius. Often hotels on the Amalfi coast are not truly “5 star”, with tired dated rooms

Want a towel for the pool area? They'll bring you one but they won't lay it out for you. Nor do they ask if you would like water or a menu. They never bring any type of standard accompaniment (crisps, nuts, olives etc

You're basically on your own after the towel and you have to physically get up to flag them down to take any type of order. Same goes for anywhere else in this place

Wonderful hotel near the heart of Sorrento. A few minutes walk into the main area, but that's a good thing because it is generally too crowded in the town itself so it is great being a bit away from the crowds

So, while the location and hotel itself is very good, the entire establishment was a great letdown due to the service. We spent a week here and, since other (true 5 star) options abound in Sorrento, we will never go back

The entire staff was incredible and we are so, so grateful. The hotel itself is gorgeous, our sea view room was absolutely stunning. They had one of our favorite hotel breakfasts that we have enjoyed in our travels

Perched on a cliffside overlooking the sea, the views are simply breathtaking—especially at sunset. The hotel has a private beach deck, accessible by elevator, which was a unique and relaxing place to unwind

The private beach club is another standout feature that makes this hotel special. The service was great, and we enjoyed many spritzes and a few club sandwiches while relaxing during our days there

The hotel’s location is also ideal: a short, pleasant walk to the main part of Sorrento, but far enough away to feel peaceful and secluded. This hotel made our honeymoon truly unforgettable

There are damaged sunbeds and mattresses by the pool - why not just remove them rather than leave them out as an advert for "we don't care"

Quite frankly I've never been treated better in my life, they genuinely can't do enough for you! Across the board fantastic service. Wild rabbits by the jacuzzis aren't for everyone but I loved them!

Everything is fabulous, our room, spotlessly clean, huge balcony, with view of Mount vesuvius. The staff, so friendly and helpful. We've taken bottles up to our balcony in the evening

Honestly I can't recommend this hotel enough. Aside from the spotless rooms, amazing views and incredible food the real stars are the staff

A final, unusual, complaint - the beds are too short! I'm 6' 4" and it's a long time since I last stayed in a hotel where my feet stick out at the end of the bed!

The full service breakfast is wonderful and the staff are all so kind and attentive. The rooftop bar and views are really nice we enjoyed the beautiful views of the water and Mount Vesuvius with a class of wine many time

But at the same time, because of the location it doesn’t have great views. It has 2 pools, they close at around 6 pm, which is early

What a place! 5 minute walk to the piazza and 2 minute walk to the station. The facilities are excellent and everywhere is spotlessly clean. We're half board and the evening meals are superb as are the breakfasts

Great location in the centre of Sorrento the hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful the rooms are a good size but appear a little dated but you're not there for the rooms

Balconies were amazing, room service daily & phenomenal & everything was so clean. You could smell the bleach smell on certain days & that level of clean is hard to come by

You can’t get any closer to the sorrento train terminal and the walk down to the marina is so beautiful and a peaceful walk that we enjoyed every day

There was a desk with a mirror Breakfast buffet very average compared to other places we have been in Italy. Sometimes hard to get a towel though

Hotel location offers beautiful views of the Bay. We are a family of 4 traveling and had 2 rooms. They do not offer bath robes or slippers. Very little space in bathroom to put your toiletries

Starts at 9 am so if you want to go earlier you will need to walk down the hill or take an over priced taxi. The shuttle does have a late last pick from town which is really nice

So you cannot enjoy it after a long day or under the stars. While waiting for our driver to depart my adult children went to get a bottle of water from the breakfast buffet

They gave them bottles but one of the staff member’s immediately ran down to the front desk to add to their bill. We were standing right there watching

We vacationed all over the world and I’m not sure a view will beat this one! The weather was unfortunately not cooperative so we did not get to have lunch at the restaurant on property however those views were also beautiful! The art on the property is mesmerizing, you can get lost just looking around at all the unique pieces

The balcony restaurant has wonderful views over Sorrento Bay. The pianist at breakfast a treat. The complementary snacks during the day very generous

I had heard that Sorrento can be a little expensive and was expecting a higher bill but was pleasantly surprised. After dinner the hotel provided relaxing entertainment in the form of a singer or mandolin player

Breakfast was well organised with plenty of choice. The food for dinner was fantastic, very tasty and varied with plenty of choice. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and all spoke very good English

I emailed my excursion requirements, they replied promptly with booking confirmations and I paid for them at the hotel when we left. We did the Amalfi Drive and Pompeii/Vesuvius which were excellent

The entire hotel is spotlessly clean including the lovely pool which is a suntrap until around 3. 30pm when the sun dips behind the mountain

We were able to experience three different rooms during our stay, and each one was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly maintained, a real testament to the high standards of cleanliness

The sea view room is beautiful, and the environment of the ordinary room is also very good. The most noteworthy thing is the Michelin restaurant in the hotel. The black truffle pasta is the best I have ever eaten

The location and scenery were so great! If you want to visit the Amalfi coastline, I really recommend staying in Sorrento. It's much quieter than Positano and Amalfi
