This was a spectacular hotel with a great location in Sorrento, beautiful pool and seating areas, and a truly gorgeous room! Gian Luca was the gentleman who checked us in and gave us a tour around the hotel amenities, and we were generously given a room upgrade for our two night stay to a gorgeous suite, which was such an unexpected and kind gesture! Our room was beautiful and the maids were so lovely keeping our room perfect every day. The cleanliness is second to none through out the hotel, it is pristine! I can not wait to return! Thank you for a fantastic stay

Did not stay here but was in the locale and visited the bar. Stylish, luxurious, discrete and surrounded by beautiful gardens, the Royal is an opulent oasis on a quiet boulevard off the main Sorrento thoroughfare.

The service is the best I have had. Breakfast is amazing and authentic itilian while offering items from more countries. The beach area is rockey but has a great view and great staff to support

This hotel was part of a Costco package so we were not aware of how amazing it was before hand. We came to Sorrento because of the package but when we return it is because of this hotel

The view overall from the hotel is amazing. I will plan a return trip with this as the focal point, it is a unique hotel and the staff makes it into a destination not a place to sleep

Absolutely fantastic experience. The place is old school elegant without the stuffiness. We had a Prestige corner room (709) on the top floor. It had an impressive terrace with incredible views

Note We took a cab to dinner and when we were done called a cab to return to the hotel. It was pouring and cabs don't work actually when it's pouring so we wanted for 90 min getting drenched

The front desk was incredibly helpful after a small run in with some ants, the breakfast was amazing, the drinks never missed, their private dock on the ocean was perfect placement, the air conditioning was the best, and their car service for hire was a massive help getting to and from Naples

Loved this hotel! Joined my family here for the weekend and the rooms were clean and gorgeous! Breakfast was very good and staff was incredibly accommodating. Would love to come back with my family again!

My husband and I recently stayed at the Grand Hotel Ambasciatori in Sorrento during our honeymoon, and I cannot speak highly enough of their exceptional staff and service

Despite being under the weather, we still felt the warmth and elegance of this beautiful hotel, and it’s a place we would love to visit again under better circumstances

I highly recommend this hotel with 10 points. The quality of cleanliness, scenery, room equipment, and staff is also 10 points excellent. There are different restaurants in the hotel for guests to choose from

The hotel is built on the hillside, facing the sea. The restaurant has a great view, where you can have breakfast while overlooking Mount Vesuvius

Nice hotel, with a lovely citrus garden. Has 8 pools, one indoor. Free wi-fi and a Breakfast buffet.

The transportation is also convenient, and it is a five-minute walk from the town. It is also close to the pier and the station

The hotel is halfway up the mountain. The lobby is grand and there are many 🍋 trees in the garden. The room facilities are average and drinking water is not provided

The room is very spacious and comfortable 😌, clean and tidy. Champagne is given upon check-in. Although it is a little far from the square, it is not too far to walk. The breakfast is rich and delicious

Wow just wow, the service was amazing and so was the room. Beds were comfortable and the view is sensational. Food and drinks were great, the whole setting is amazing and the staff are so friendly

Our Golden Wedding celebration has been enhanced by this lovely hotel. All the staff have friendly, attentive and caring. We were upgraded to a suite overlooking the harbour

My time at Hotel Excelsior Vittoria was a fantastic experience. Beautiful grounds, amazing location and a relaxing environment round the pool area

There was no one thing in particular, but we found ourselves searching for staff at the pool, at the entrance, at the restaurants for assistance rather than having staff present and looking for ways to help guide our experience

After having stayed at multiple 5 star locations in Italy prior to reaching this hotel, it's clear someone at the top was instilling an off service attitude that did not come off at genuine or hospitable for an establishment at this level

We had breakfast on the balcony every morning and a few dinners overlooking the bay. Everything about the hotel felt royal. We also ended up meeting one of the owners, Alessandro, on the last night

The restaurant in the hotel was one of the best dinners we had in Sorrento, with the most beautiful views at sunset, and the private beach club was absolutely stunning and felt super luxurious! It was equally as beautiful in the mornings on the terrace for breakfast, overlooking the water

Grand Hotel Riviera was a luxury hotel with an amazing view of the water that is breathtaking to enjoy a drink or dinner. The hotel also includes complimentary breakfast which was very large and great value for the hotel

My husband and I stayed at Grand Hotel Riviera for our honeymoon back in July, and it was one of our favourite stops on our trip. Everything about this hotel was a dream

The common areas are nicely decorated and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The private beach club is well conceived and a plus, and the pool is great with an amazing view

They made our experience a memorable one, and we enjoyed heading down to the water and having a chat with them every day! Gianni at the front desk was also incredible in helping us from the moment we checked in, to the day we left - even making numerous calls on our behalf to rental car companies when our rental car booking fell through

We would leave momentarily and our room would be tidied up when we returned. Lastly, we got engaged on our trip in Sorrento and the staff wrote us a very nice note and treated us to complementary champagne in the bar

There are damaged sunbeds and mattresses by the pool - why not just remove them rather than leave them out as an advert for "we don't care"

Quite frankly I've never been treated better in my life, they genuinely can't do enough for you! Across the board fantastic service. Wild rabbits by the jacuzzis aren't for everyone but I loved them!

Everything is fabulous, our room, spotlessly clean, huge balcony, with view of Mount vesuvius. The staff, so friendly and helpful. We've taken bottles up to our balcony in the evening

Honestly I can't recommend this hotel enough. Aside from the spotless rooms, amazing views and incredible food the real stars are the staff

Entertainment not to everyone s taste. Josh the tui rep helped out on a problem we had, sorted in a day

A final, unusual, complaint - the beds are too short! I'm 6' 4" and it's a long time since I last stayed in a hotel where my feet stick out at the end of the bed!

There is a very reliable shuttle service to and from Sorrento centre run by the hotel Thank you so much. We will see you next year when we will be bringing our friends along. I would recommend this hotel to everyone

The view is spectacular, the food delicious and the staff are all amazing at their job. The pool is very relaxing with olive trees, and the pool supervisors are always on hand

We told the front desk about it and they said that’s just the way it is. Sometimes we felt like we were bothering the staff. Hard to find towels at the pool. They only put a few out at a time

So if there are none there you have to go looking for someone to go to the green shed. We watched several guests looking around for towels and then just gave up. Love the chairs with the face shields

Quite high up from Sorrento, the views of Sorrento, Mount Vesuvius and Naples is second to none! There is a free shuttle service every hour transporting guests to and from Sorrento. The pool area is also really nice

The SITA bus stop is just a 1 min walk if needed. The restaurant has a full spread breakfast that is perfect for fueling up for the day, Overall great value! Can’t say enough about the impressive personalized service

Breakfast was so good, they helped us with getting around town and getting to the islands. The room is big and super clean. The shuttle bus is so convenient and the driver is so nice and polite

If I could give this hotel 6 stars I would. The service from the very start to the end was absolutely amazing. Location was wonderful, and the breakfast buffet blew me away

Recently stayed here for 3 nights while on a holiday, the room was superb and the location was great. Having shutters on the windows and a balcony was a nice touch

The only downside was that the buffet breakfast was a bit plain. I would happily recommend this accommodation for anyone who is coming to Sorrento

Traveling in the off-season, the price/performance ratio is very high. The room type was upgraded for free, but the room was close to the garden and there were mosquitoes

Wonderful hotel! Amazing view, very comfortable rooms, excellent food and great and personal service. Ten minutes walking to the centre of Sorrento or to the small harbour. Would definitely recommend.

I had heard that Sorrento can be a little expensive and was expecting a higher bill but was pleasantly surprised. After dinner the hotel provided relaxing entertainment in the form of a singer or mandolin player

Breakfast was well organised with plenty of choice. The food for dinner was fantastic, very tasty and varied with plenty of choice. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and all spoke very good English

I emailed my excursion requirements, they replied promptly with booking confirmations and I paid for them at the hotel when we left. We did the Amalfi Drive and Pompeii/Vesuvius which were excellent

Just returned home from a fantastic week at the Minerva in Sorrento. We had a high room with a balcony which was clean and comfortable with everything you'd need

They provide a free shuttle service into Sorrento which gives you the best of both worlds: peaceful relaxation by a pool and the chaos of Sorrento on your doorstep. Staff are so helpful and welcoming

Lovely hotel. Very friendly staff. Courtesy bus runs all day on the hour. Views are brilliant. Sunsets are the best ever. Food is delicious. Waiter service. Good size swimming pool.

The entire hotel is spotlessly clean including the lovely pool which is a suntrap until around 3. 30pm when the sun dips behind the mountain

The pool was lovely and warm despite the weather not being great every day. The staff were all amazing and general vibe was really nice

Semi Negative points: - we came with our small dog. The staff told us this in advance, which I appreciated, but animals can't access the pool, restaurant, or common areas of the hotel

Dinner is table service and the choice and quality is excellent. Nice touch that you can order a bottle of wine and they will keep it for you for the following evening. Cannot fault this hotel for the price

5 stars to the delightful Lady serving breakfast, 5 stars for the pool as well, rooms should be updated but overall it's a good option. Bad surprise the lack of parking...16€ extra.

Our three year old loved the pool where the children all gather towards the end of the afternoon. Less than ten minute walk into town although the road can be busy and the pavement/sidewalk not too wide

The staff is very kind and ready to satisfy all our needs. Well maintained pool and very friendly guys in the sector. Moreover, what impressed us most was the impeccable cleanliness of the room

The hotel was old style but it all adds to the charm of the place and the grounds are stunning and our room was clean. We had our two year old with us and the Italians love to make a fuss of her which she loved

I was worried about my stay when I read the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. Staff are very friendly and welcoming which I haven't felt in along time at a hotel. The guests there are also very friendly

If you want somewhere that offers great value for money this is the place. I actually will really miss the place

The food was a little repetitive but that is not surprising after the pandemic, the quality of the food was excellent and the house wine was the best I have had at an all inclusive resort in Europe

Nice location close to Sorrento but taxis are expensive. The staff were friendly and helpful. Check out is at 10am and they close up the hotel on 1st November, a national holiday

The downside was that we had a late flight and the hotel declined to provide a luggage secure service even though they were aware the transfer was from the hotel, would have expected this service

This hotel is in a good central location, very close to tra in station, restaurants and shopping. Very nice pool area, which is the perfect place to relax and cool off on hottest day and hotel time

The room was newly refurbished, quite and comfortable. It was also well cleaned and tidied every day. Teresa particularly, was always nice and helpful

One of the best hotels we have ever had the pleasure of staying. We had a spacious corner room with a huge balcony. The staff were amazing, pleasant, and thoughtful. The food in the restaurant was excellent

A taxi ride to town runs about $20 to $25 euros one way depending on traffic

I remembered Michel who works at the front and another Michel at the pool and literally everyone in staff made it so comfortable for me, my baby (who they all adored) and my husband(he is not a city person so Sorrento was heaven for him!) We really did not want to leave at all

The roof top bar is unbelievably the best spot to be when visiting the hotel especially at night. The pool facilities are private and quiet, the rooms are spacious & super comfortable

Michel gave such great service at the bar with the freshest best orange juice and went out of his way to find sweeter wines for us (He may have climbed many steps to get it for us!) I will definitely come here again!

The garden area was so tranquil for breakfast & lunch, our dinner experience in the main dining room was exceptional especially the service. Mario Samuel & the team were always accommodating with all your food needs

Great location in the heart of Sorrento. Close enough to restaurants and shopping but located in a quiet area so that you can relax if desired. The rooms are lovely and very clean

Stayed here in April 2024 for a 7 night stay. Hotel and room was very nice, cleaned every day and fresh towels put in. Breakfast was a buffet but plenty of choice each day

Afternoons by the pool just perfect to cool down and have a snack. Bedrooms just right with AC, cleaned to perfection every day and fresh towels. Staff are wonderful and engaging, helpful on everything you need to know

9 lovely days of plenty to do and see. Located centrally 10 minutes from anywhere. Breakfasts were a treat with such a variety of food, the omelettes being so special, eggs benedict so good

12 minutes walk to city center. It has free parking which is a huge bonus. Rooms are a bit outdated but very clean. Could have enjoyed a coffee machine in the room ,😔 it is pricy but worth it 🙂

Belair is a really pleasant 4-star hotel, great service, rooms, pool area, parking, not to forget about the view! 15min walk to "down town". Enjoy your stay!

Grand. Views from our rooms were perfect but hotel over all needs some love. Simple things like pool / pool area needed a good clean.

Wow! So we booked this hotel through an Orbitz deal (car / hotel) after many hours of trying to select the perfect hotel. The pictures looked great, but in the back of my mind I was preparing myself for disappointment

This place has super views and great staff very friendly. Very good place to stay I would recommend to any friends
