Not about the hotel but the restaurant. Came here for breakfast and after waiting for 15 minutes for a waiter to appear decided to just take a coffee and go somewhere else, and the place was not even busy. The coffee was not bad (double the price tho, even for Kotor), the menu book looked all greasy and not inviting to even touch it, blasting pop music, beggars coming to everyone and being completely ignored by the staff. So, definitely not the atmosphere you’d expect at a “boutique hotel”, some roadside kafanas are more pleasant than this.

Great location, friendly staff, especially the receptionist, Adriana. My girlfriend and I relied on the great information she provided us with when we went visiting different spots, as we didn't really know what to see. We stayed for 5 days and every day she would help us with a smile on her face, wonderful person! In the 4th day we went to visit Durmitor, which is a trip that starts at 6 in the morning and ends at 23:00. So we would've missed breakfast. Without us asking, she made us breakfast boxes ready to be collected from the reception at 5:30 AM! Wonderful! Again, great hotel, wonderful staff, amazing location and I hope Adriana will get a raise because she deserves it!

I got the wonderful opportunity to stay at this historical hotel of Hotel Cattaro. This is an amazing hotel located at the beautiful city of Tivat, Montenegro. This hotel is just 10 minutes drive from Tivat Airport. And also it is located within an only-walking area. It has many eateries and small bars. This Hotel was once named as the Napolean’s Theatre. The relationship between the famous Napoleon and this hotel is worth learning. Since I am not a good historian, I suggest the visitors to have research on their own. However, the famous James Bond movie Casino Royale was filmed at this hotel. The rooms give a modern but antic style. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the rooms are large. As I have said this was once a ‘Royal Palace’ , you will get the feel and experience of those royal etiquettes. For all those James Bond lovers – this Hotel is a must to stay. There daily breakfast is amazing, and they have a ‘Royal Ballroom’ style restaurant for the breakfast. I loved the Balkan style of breakfast. There are so many souvenir shops, money changers and other interesting outlets by the walking distance. Just outside the area is a small marina style harbor facility where several pleasure vessels can be seen. You can hire a small boat to have a wonderful ride just outside the hotel area.

This is a wonderful smaller historical hotel located just inside the Old Town walls above the busy main square. Within steps of the Main Sea Gate entrance. Our room had a balcony overlooking the square with the mountains rising above the city for a stunning view! Room was bright, had large windows to open, bathroom very clean and bed was very comfortable. Hotel staff was informative, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was good and they have a great restaurant just outside the hotel. Perfect place to stay in Kotor vs getting into the darker busier side streets! But close to some wonderful restaurants.

(Stayed here with the Colette tour in October). Rooms are nicer than expected and right on the courtyard but you don't hear any sounds with the double doors and curtains closed. For a hotel that's right in the middle of everything you don't feel that way inside the rooms - nice and quiet. No elevator and you needed to carry your luggage up the stairs. Max of 1 to 2 floors. Wi-Fi was strong. Shower pressure was good and consistent but tubs could be difficult to get in and out of. Included slippers and probably the softest robe I've ever encountered. Breakfast was underwhelming. I would be likely to stay at this hotel again if I was to revisit in the future.

We didn't stay here but we did go to the rooftop resturant at the top of the wall and it was stunning! we had a beautiful lady serve us, she was so friendly and welcoming. We have traveled all around Montenegro this trip and this was by far the absolute best service we have had, and not just us, all the tables around us. We all ordered pizza and it was honestly the best we have ever had, so fresh. We will definitely be back! If you're in the old town don't miss out!

Brilliant food, beautiful location, and some cats!
I ordered a tuna steak, and it was one of the nicest fish dishes I've ever had. The grilled veg side dish was also worthwhile.
Service was good, and the views were really lovely. One of the most panoramic spots in Kotor.
We paid 50 euros for two, so not the cheapest, but it was worth it overall.

Has the opportunity to visit Hotel Cattaro, but only to enjoy an outdoors balcony dinner. Great food, good local wine, super waitress. We thoroughly enjoyed the dinner.

A truly romantic and genuine hotel in the port of Old Town of Kotor.
Good to know would be that it is in the middle of a restaurant plaza and can be a bit noisy, but it stops before midnight.
Wonderful stay and highly recommend this hotel. Staff is a 5 star!

Historic building actually on the old town walls (formerly the town hall, damaged in the 1979 and earlier earthquakes). Ideal location in Old Town Kotor. Nice, comfortable room, with air-conditioning was much appreciated on a hot day. Kettle, big bed, mini-bar. Needs an electrical outlet near the bed and at the mini-bar counter. Be aware that rooms face the main square, where there may be nighttime entertainment happening. Adjacent pub AR has misters for hot days, but I had to retreat to my air-conditioned hotel room when it was more than 30 degrees. The hotel’s Citadela Restaurant is located in open air atop the walls, up the stairs from the hotel.
