Best Hotels in Kotor

This is purely a review of the restaurant and a warning re pricing model. We are here the other night staff were friendly and attentive and the food was good though portion size was a little small for the cost

Went there for dinner this evening. The table side service was very good with every server very much ready and willing to attend to us. Our dissatisfaction lies with the price and presentation of the food

All staff are extremely friendly and attentive, serving food and drinks then taking plates away very efficiently. The food was delicious both nights and we thoroughly enjoyed the BBQ style of our meals

We ate here at the restaurant twice during our 4 night stay in Dobrota and had a fantastic experience each time. The views and setting at this restaurant are stunning, particularly at sunset

We would recommend this restaurant to anyone staying in the area and hope to return at some point in the future!

For a 5 star hotel/restaurant we were expecting at the very least hot food and better designed plates. We ordered the sea bass, sea bream (which suggests it's 2 fish) we only received one of the two fish

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It was beautiful with stunning views of the bay, really close the beach and delicious restaurants, and it has the most fantastic breakfast and facilities (pool and spa)

Just arrived, our first day and already being spolit. This hotel is nothing short of superb. Amazing views, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. This place is truly a hidden gem. Loving it ❤️

It also has some really cute tortoise pets! It’s a nice walk/bike ride from Kotor old town as well. But most of all the staff are absolutely incredible - so friendly and nothing was too much trouble

Our room was huge, plenty of space for the two of us. We were also given complimentary access to the spa on our final night which was a highlight and rounded off our stay in Kotor wonderfully

Service was good, and the views were really lovely. One of the most panoramic spots in Kotor. We paid 50 euros for two, so not the cheapest, but it was worth it overall

Great location, friendly staff, especially the receptionist, Adriana. My girlfriend and I relied on the great information she provided us with when we went visiting different spots, as we didn't really know what to see

Since I am not a good historian, I suggest the visitors to have research on their own. However, the famous James Bond movie Casino Royale was filmed at this hotel. The rooms give a modern but antic style

And also it is located within an only-walking area. It has many eateries and small bars. This Hotel was once named as the Napolean’s Theatre. The relationship between the famous Napoleon and this hotel is worth learning

I got the wonderful opportunity to stay at this historical hotel of Hotel Cattaro. This is an amazing hotel located at the beautiful city of Tivat, Montenegro. This hotel is just 10 minutes drive from Tivat Airport

There are so many souvenir shops, money changers and other interesting outlets by the walking distance. Just outside the area is a small marina style harbor facility where several pleasure vessels can be seen

stayed here with his friend Evan for 7 nights in early August 2024. I visited him and the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The views of the bay were beautiful. The proximity to the city center was 5 minutes walk

Good location & modern. I liked that the AC will keep on even if you are not in the room and the card is not inserted in 👍 Also, big room with ref & safe Very good

There’s a grocery store nearby, as well as many restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful to my son and his friend. My son reported that the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well

Big and modern rooms, everything clean and delicious breakfast. It is 4 star hotel and definitely deserves it. It is close to the Old town, just 10 minutes walking distance. There is huge supermarket few metres away

Amazing hotel, just 50 meters away from the closest beach. The hotel itself is placed on the coast with beautiful view on the sea and hills. Hotel has a lot parking spots and it is highly biker friendly

Maybe I overrated the place, but it offers you almost everything you want for a few days of visit. The rooms are not big but for us they were perfect. Tasty food without pretensions

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Galatea! From the private waterfront dock to the amazing breakfast, we enjoyed every second. The staff was by far the best part of our stay

Saldjen was incredible and treated us like family. We wanted a boat tour and Saldjen arranged for us to be picked up and dropped off on the dock so we didn’t have to go all the way into Kotor

The hotel was located at Prčanj, which was distanced from the crowd of Kotor. We were told that the building is century old, thus it comes with disadvantages

We are overweighted this is why bed was squeezing/hugging us when we lay down. Apart from these, hospitality and welcoming was perfect. Every demand was responded without questioning

Cleanest place I’ve stayed in the Balkans—reasonable and friendly staff in the most walkable part of the city. And look at the view from my window! I’m coming back with my family someday and getting the same room.

PERFECT! Such an easy walk from the bus station and into the walled city to Antika Guesthouse. View of the stone street below. Very comfortable bed! And spacious room. Bathroom with large shower was luxurious

Our room (room #1) had a nice sofa. Two large windows for nice light. There is a shared kitchen and it was very clean. Nikola and his staff were most welcoming. Overall this place was AMAZING!!

We had a great meal at Hotel Astoria Restaurant. While the food did take a bit of time to arrive, that was understandable since there was a large group dining at the same time

Though premium-priced, the ambiance and service make it a memorable stay for couples and discerning travelers

The bestt view for the best price. The staff are also very friendly and upgraded us to a room with the bestt view. Will definetly recommend this place as its close to old kotor, also not too far from tivat airport

Excellent restaurant onside with quality food and tables right on the edge of the water. If you want a quiet place to relax, away from the crowds and in a beautiful setting, this is perfect

The hotel is in an amazing location, the pool is great with many sunbeds ideal for a relaxing day by the pool, the gym was good for what you would expect from a hotel gym (they have an incline and flat bench press which is quite uncommon for hotel gyms), it would be nice if they had heavier dumbbells though, the view from our room was amazing and the staff were all very friendly and helpful

Splendido indeed! Beautiful and quiet location right on the waters edge. Amazing views of the bay and the mountains. Nice little private beach and pool area, both overlooking the water

Just do not expect 5 star accommodation. Rooms pretty basic but the view is amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice and different each morning of our stay

They do charge 15 euros a day for parking your car, 2 euros for use of a beachtowel, and 20 euros for the use of a 2 person kayak for an hour, plus 10% service charge

They genuinely wanted us to have the best time giving thoughtful suggestions, helping to book taxis (€10 or less to Old Town Kotor), providing top class breakfasts and drinks daily

I saw some whinging about the location and logically if you want the best view you need to work for it by walking up a hill to get some elevation? Personally I loved the location

We asked for bread with the soup, and got cheap sliced white bread that you would use for toast at best. The salmon dish (22€) was completely tasteless and dry

A short walk to the church & supermarket with the top swim spot nearby. In the other direction the promenade of Dobrota with all the restaurants. Would definitely come back again - 10/10

The breakfast was high quality and set us up for the day. There are some great restaurants within walking distance - La Ricotta and Konoba Timun

At the hotel, the fish soup was delicious, but everything else we had for dinner was very disappointing. The beef was overcooked, very dry and the menu noted it came with vegetables and a sauce, it came with neither

Best location to stay in the old city. The breakfast was good with many options. The Resturant is the best location for evening drinks.

Just stayed 4 nights here with my family. Great location for visiting the old city and kotor bay. Rooms are a bit old fashioned but air con is good and always spotlessly cleaned. Breakfast wasn't great but functional

They also have a small gym (equipment works though) with a steam room and sauna. Service was ok, nothing special but on par with Montenegro in general, where the attitudes aren’t great

Right in the middle of old town, past the sea gate Rooms are really nice, beds, bathroom, everything Breakfast display is fantastic as well

All of the waiters were so nice during the three evening. One of them didn’t know his name but he has the sweetest smile in Kotor

Really comfortable stay with a beautiful, luxurious hotel room and bathroom. One thing I have feedback for - the website says the concierge is 24/7 but it isn’t

They also included half-board to compensate for the price difference. The breakfast and dinner at Monte Cristo were good, and the atmosphere was charming and boutique-like

They moved us to one of their nearby apartments in a quieter area called Apartment Leo, which had thick stone walls that provided excellent sound insulation

Charming hotel in the middle of the old town. I love staying in these old buildings. The entire staff was extremely welcoming and kind, and breakfast in the cute courtyard was a refreshing start to the day

The breakfasts on the beach are delicious and the location allows you to quickly find very good restaurants for the evening or for lunch

What an amazing place, beautiful big, clean room, large balcony with stunning views and you couldn’t ask for nicer hosts. They couldn’t do enough for us and give us advice on where to go and what to see

We spent lots of time on the water's edge in the lounge chairs enjoying some quiet away from the busyness of old town. Not much within walking distance and no food options at the hotel aside from breakfast

We were given welcome drinks with prosecco, and a cake and biscuit were given complimentary. The breakfast in the morning had very good options, and the cooked menu where I picked a montenegrin breakfast was very tasty

This hotel was the best by far in the Kotor area. I got a room for 5 days and I love the friendliness of the staff and the room. The hotel room had a kingsize bed, and it came with a fully stocked fridge

Our hotel in Dubrovnik was not getting back to us and we were unsure if we had a place to stay. The Pietra staff went out of their way to call and figure out the logistics to lock in the Dubrovnik hotel for us

It is one of the most beautiful hotels in Montenegro. The rooms are cleaned during breakfast and the breakfast varieties are many and very clean. The hotel staff is friendly and attentive.

The wellness room had everything I wanted. It had a sauna, shower, and jacuzzi. Overall, the staff were amazing whether it was front of the desk or waiting staff in the restaurant

Out of all the beautiful sights, the biggest attraction is perhaps the Old Town - and Kotor Nest is conveniently situated right at the heart of it. Apart from the location, we loved the chic design of the place

Upon entering the property you could just feel the combination of historical and modern…comfortable rooms and in general such a pleasant shared kitchen and living room. Will come back again for sure!
