Where to stay in Kotor

We are from Canada. We like pancakes. They have American pancakes on the menu. We thought close enough we tried said pancakes and they were fluffy, but the joy ended there. It wasn’t too bad, but didn’t quite meet our expectations. I will be back for the American pancakes.

Charming hotel in the middle of the old town. I love staying in these old buildings. The entire staff was extremely welcoming and kind, and breakfast in the cute courtyard was a refreshing start to the day. If you have a car, their parking lot is extremely convenient too! The only downside is the jazz cafe right next to the hotel which runs past midnight, so can be stressful.

Great charming hotel in the heart of the old town. We had a large room with air condition and very clean. The staff in the hotel are very friendly. Breakfast is superb with lots of choices. The hotel provides free parking; however, you should contact the hotel and let them know prior to arrival. The coordinates to the parking are different than to the hotel.

The location is a little hard to find, Amap (Tantu offline map) navigation will be wrong, and finally Google Maps is the solution. There are parking spaces inside, although not many, but generally enough.

The hotel room, view, and location were excellent. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. I mentioned that we would be leaving early in the morning and wouldn’t be able to stay for breakfast, so they prepared takeaway sandwiches for us in the morning and left them ready. We had a great stay - location is away from the Kotor crowdedness but can still taxi easily into town. This location and property is charming! Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Wonderful small hotel on a very peaceful and quiet side of the bay. The host Tatiana was really welcoming and kind and gave us a lot of recommendations around the area. In the ancient city, the location is very good. The car can only be parked outside the city, and it is a bit tiring to drag a big box, but fortunately it is not far away.

It has an amazing view. There is alot of restaurants and markets close if you need. It also has a decent swimming pool. The place is close to many beautiful and old places the you shouldn't miss.

We had a great time there. The owners were very hospitable and helpful. The rooms are good but objects are a bit old. It is very close to the sea, just takes 5 minutes down. Above all, the owners are pretty, they offer handmade coffee all the time and there is a cosy atmosphere.

A beautiful hotel in a lovingly and sympathetically restored Palazzo. The owners and the reception team were very warm and welcoming. The location was perfect for us, with a 50 minute walk into the old town of Kotor along the sea front. Couldn't comment about the evening menu as we were out of season. Would highly recommend for a very romantic getaway!

Good hotel with a cosy hospitality. The staffs so helpful and kind. They even call me ahead of time that there were storms and they waited us to arrive and help us to settle ourselves. Nearby have some nice restaurants and a big supermarket too. So convenient. Parking also not an issue. Will be back

It is one of the best places we stayed in during our recent vacation in Kotor. The rooms are cozy and well appointed. Breakfast was really good with excellent choices. The central location makes the hotel ideal as we could reach most of the places we wanted to visit with ease. I was very satisfied with Hotel Vardar. The rooms are very large and I had a beautiful view of the square and the walls. The breakfast was plentiful with many choices. In the maze of Kotor Old Town, this hotel is easy to find as it’s near the sea gate. I didn’t have any issues with noise, as others have reported, at the time of my visit. Highly recommend.

We loved our two nights at Hotel Vardar. The staff were very accommodating and upgraded us to a balcony room with great views of the square. The room was very spacious and the bed comfortable. We didn't stay here but we did go to the rooftop resturant at the top of the wall and it was stunning! we had a beautiful lady serve us, she was so friendly and welcoming. We have traveled all around Montenegro this trip and this was by far the absolute best service we have had, and not just us, all the tables around us. Brilliant food, beautiful location, and some cats! I ordered a tuna steak, and it was one of the nicest fish dishes I've ever had. The grilled veg side dish was also worthwhile.
