FOH staff were friendly and efficient, we arrived hours before check-in but they stored our bags and when we returned hours later, they remembered us and sorted our keys straight away.
We opted to have dinner in the restaurant that evening as the weather wasn't very nice. Food was good, large portions and the beer (brewed on site) was excellent. The only point I would raise is that dinner service finished at 9 and the restaurant closed at 10.30, but it was Sunday.
The train station and tram stop is right next to the hotel, with a designated Uber/Bolt area.
I would highly recommend this hotel
Best price/quality. Also, there is a serious brewery on the ground floor, and it's beer is fantastic! I tasted some kind of lager, and it seemed one of the best I ever tried, really!
If I have to mention a negative thing, the breakfast was a little bit poor in meat, cheese and sweets (no jam), despite I had fully stomach in every morning :) because of the various kind of eggs and sausages. :)
Overall we had a very pleasant stay and the city center is 10 min walk from the hotel.
And don’t worry about noise from the train tracks, it was super quiet.
The whole place feels really modern, the staff are all super friendly and welcoming.
Location wise it's perfect as it's right next to train station and just a short walk from central Gdansk (hence the name)
They sell their own beer on site which is really good. Offer breakfast as well but I didn't have this.
Would wholeheartedly recommend this place if you're looking to stay at Gdansk
The room - it is nice and it was clean! But if you would like to enjoy your sleep avoid. It is extremely loud because it faces the road and the windows are not well insulated. We have reported this to the reception but they told us oh well this is our location so not much we can do about it. I am not a light sleeper at all but I had to hearing stoppers to be able to fall asleep. We have visited many cities like Hong Kong, London, Warsaw and we stayed at hotels in these cities no problems with noise at all. This hotel is not well insulated and they excuse it by the location.
Breakfast - please don't. The 70 PLN is a robbery for what you get. Not much choice and does not taste very good. We asked the staff that the orange juice is only pumping water without any juice. She asked me to give our juices back and that she will replace the juice bags. We waited for the replacement juice - nothing happened. We had to go back and get our juice ourselves. But the food is not good. At least not 70 PLN good. Stay away from it.
We are staying here two more nights. This was our first and last time we have stayed here.
