Bachleda Hotel Kasprowy

From the outside it's an old, ugly, worn out communist block of concrete. For kids it's amazing, 400m2 playroom with multiple rooms and different activities. The swimming pool is really nice with side small pool with slides for kids. Breakfast is really good. Restaurant Grand Kasprowy has really tasty food. Now for the bad and my reason for 3 stars. Main purpose of hotel for me is to provide good night's sleep. Rooms are tiny. We took "premium deluxe" room (gotta love the name) and we could barely fit in between the beds and the wall. Air conditioning does not function like it should. We were told it is in summer mode so it only cools down. Ok but it does not regulate just blows cold air whatever the setting. Want to cool your room to 23C while room temperature is 24C, yes great, will cool you down to freezing temp and compressor will not stop when it reaches 23C. You put setting for 25C while room is 23C, yep still you will get cooled down to freezing if you don't stop it. I tried 3 rooms, everywhere the same. Maintenance guy didn't even understand how airco regulation should work ;). Then there is the noise. Windows are old and absolutely not noise insulating, then on 1st floor on the side of Gubałówka there is noise from fans in the parking garage that make constant loud noise, then something very often making bang noises outside. My rest suffered greatly. So for me for the premium price I paid I will not come back again, unless kids make me do it ;)

I've been here since 2016 several times when I lived in Krakow. The quality of the hotel has given worse, probably it is because the hotel has been excluded from the Mercure hotel network. E.g. food quality, pool was under repairman, roads still look like from Soviet times.

Everything was really good according to a 4* hotel. Clean, breakfast is tasty, various. Rooms are nice.
However...

It is an expensive hotel and it was ridiculous that i have to pay extra money for the whole wellness. (In the basic 4* price, you can use just a small part of the wellness. WHAT YOU SEE ON pictures THE HOTEL' WELLNESS does NOT! INCLUDED IN THE BASIC PRICE.) 🫨😳
I chose the hotel because of the photos of the spa. And it shocked me upon arrival, that i have to pay even extras for that... 🤯
I think the management should figure out to change their mind. It was a bad experience... 🥺

The behaviour of the staff was not so kind. I love polish mentality but here the reception and staff in the bar were unpolite.

I'm not sure for this price I will book here again. 😔
