I really liked this hotel.
I especially liked they didn't nickel and dime you like most U.S. hotels.
They let me borrow a power adapter free and the things in mini fridge are complimentary; plus a bottle of red wine I didn't get a chance to crack open.
Snacks and fruit in lobby.
Upstairs rooftop bar had a great view.
The staff was also very friendly and helpful.
Also convenient location to markets, antique stores, and subway station just down the street.
I'll stay here again if I return to Singapore.

When booking the room, from the photos and description it wasn’t clear that there were no standard windows. Our room had a skylight, which was covered with a green plastic, blocking out all light. This was unfortunate, and the room was quite dark at night. However, besides there being no window, the location and service of the hotel was lovely. I recommend staying, just keep in mind that the basic rooms face inside the hotel and only have skylights.

Very nicely decorated hotel. Perfect location to explore, 2 mins from Maxwell mrt station. Room was nice but wasn't newly done as some photos of rooms I'd seen had been. Roof top bar was a nice addition.

Nice hotel in a great location next to China Town and the Maxwell hawkers market. Lots of top quality restaurants very close by. Maxwell tube (MTS) is 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Walking distance to the commercial centre. Room was quirky with old style furniture, clean and comfortable, with no outside windows but as hotel rooms are for sleeping then this was not a problem. Hanging space for clothes. Nice toilets with shower. Safety box. Mini bar with beer, soft drinks, water and chocolate snacks included. Staff were very pleasant. Check in and out was quick. Would recommend.

The room I had was odd. There were no windows, except for one at the very top that I couldn't see out of. I could only see the light coming through it. It would be nice if this were made more clear. At first, I thought this might at least mean there was better sound isolation from outside, but that wasn't the case. The window seemed to be left open for airflow because I could hear the street through the window.
There was some noise from a rooftop bar nearby one night. They stopped at 11pm. But just be aware that there may be some noise at night.
The location is good as it's next to an MRT station as well as a popular hawker center (Maxwell). Can easily get to most tourist spots in a short time.

Great location and a nice hotel for a reasonable price. What stands out is the quality of the materials used in the room (bathroom fixtures, mattresses, linen). Pictures on the webpage well reflect what you can expect from every room type. A recommendation for Singapore.

I like to stay at boutique hotel and take a look at the design. However, when the hotel is almost full, be careful when choosing your room because you might choose the windowless room (makes me feel suffocated, even though there is AC).
The room and service are great, but sometimes you can see too many hallways. The best thing is that Scarlet is close to hawker food center and near the public transportation. Take a walk around the China Town when you're free.
