Nora Buri Resort & Spa - SHA Extra Plus in Chaweng Beach

Since we arrived at Nora Buri resort and spa, the staff have been exceptional!!! A special shout out to Aung from ‘the barge’ and Lester from ‘Manora’ breakfast bar who were so accomodating and friendly, it really made our time at the resort very special! The food was lovely, the massages and staff from the Andona spa were lovely. The cleaners were diligent and kept our living quarters clean and smelling lovely. Our view was lovely, with lots of birds and squirrels if you were up early enough. The gold buggy staff were quick at picking us up and taking us around the resort which gave the resort a special charm! The beach was awesome for collecting sea glass/sea ceramic. Overall we recommend this resort to all family and friends. Hope to return one day!!!

Food:
The food at the resort was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. Whether it was breakfast with stunning sea views or a relaxing dinner by the pool, every meal was a delight. The variety and quality were outstanding.

Rooms:
Our room was spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. The peaceful ambiance, cozy bedding, and breathtaking views made it the perfect place to unwind. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of.

Service & Hospitality:
The staff at Nora Buri truly set this resort apart. Their kindness, attentiveness, and quick service made our stay seamless and memorable. They were always ready to help with a genuine smile, and they made sure we felt special throughout our stay.

Overall, Nora Buri Resort exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for a serene, luxurious, and heart-warming experience in Koh Samui, this is the place to be. Highly recommended! 🌴✨

I had a delightful stay at Nora Buri and I would rate my overall stay as 4/5. Breaking this review in 3 parts: good bits, needs improvement and a warning.

Good bits:
1. Resort is a little bit old but very beautifully built and they have many types of rooms. I with my husband stayed at the sea view room and the view was amazing.
2. Their pools are one of the best I've seen so far. They have 2 huge pools, each pool being infinity pool with a great view.
3. The rooms are located on the hillside and there's a very active cart / buggy service. It is exceptional. Would rate it 10/10. We could always get a cart almost instantly and didn't have to walk even a bit to get to our room. Buggy drivers are also super friendly and courteous.
4. Breakfast spread is really amazing and elaborate.
5. Rooms are super spacious with all amenities. Probably the biggest in Samui at the price point. Didn't feel like anything was missing.

Needs improvement:
1. The resort could do with a little bit of renovation. Saw cracks in some villas. Tried opening the curtains and the rod broke. Roof lights were constantly flickering.
2. There are no charging points on the sides of the bed so you have to charge your phone on the study table.
3. For making up your room, you have to call the reception and let them know. Sometimes they'll do your room without asking and when you need them to actually do it, they'll say they've already done it. As someone who is a cleanliness freak, I sometimes get my room cleaned twice in a day and I wouldn't want grief over it.
4. They can't do anything about this but FYI the beach is not accessible. So if you're planning to swim in the beach, you can't.

WARNING
The only reason I've given this a 4 rating and not 5 is particularly because of their travel and tours booking personnel - Sara.

We booked our full moon party ferry + pickup / drop package from Sara for 1200 baht per person. She booked us with the worst operator and we ended up spending the night stuck and stranded in ferry queues. We spent 4 hours just waiting and being pushed around in a stampede like situation.

The problematic part: The package costs 800 baht per person otherwise. So not only did Sara give us a highly inflated package and made huge commissions on it, she refused to take any responsibility for our terrible experience and just simply said she can't do anything. The resort also refused to take responsibility for the same.

So please exercise caution in booking any of your tours via Sara (sits at the resort reception) and book elsewhere instead.

We had a wonderful stay at Nora Buri. The rooms were generally clean and well maintained. We loved the sea facing pool, it was very therapeutic and calming to watch the waves. The buggy service is readily available upon request. The resort is less than 10 minutes away from the airport. They have a van service available available to the Central Samui at 4pm which was quite convenient as we were not aware of the mall. Overall, we would recommend the resort.

We stayed at this hotel for six nights. From the moment we arrived, the staff were very kind and gave us a brief introduction about the hotel. When we first received our room, the view was partially facing the water, and upon politely mentioning this, they immediately changed our room without any problem.

The hotel also provides a free shuttle to the city center once a day at 4 PM, which was very convenient. Breakfast was good and fresh with no unpleasant smell, and the swimming pool was clean and well-maintained. The hotel’s cars are available 24 hours a day to take you directly to your rooms, which made everything very comfortable. We also found that the tours offered by the hotel were more affordable compared to the ones in the city center.

All the staff were polite, friendly, and professional. The only minor drawback is that there are no shops within a 2 km distance, so for anything you need, you would have to take a car or a motorbike.

Overall, everything was excellent, and we truly enjoyed our stay. Thank you

Never stayed or heard of this chain before, but decided to give it a try due to an attractive promotion. Thanks the hotel for an upgrade to this second row pool villa. Despite a bit aged room, everything was very pleasant. We received an exceptional service from K.Jasmine. The view was amazing, we had a great rest. The ambience was very nice all across the hotel.

Perfect Escape

This is a beautiful resort of 5 star quality, booked 3 nights in January 2021 and stayed in 2 weeks. Low occupancy meant I was very privileged to be upgraded to a beachside pool villa with breakfast served daily on the deck beside the pool in the villa. The Villa has every luxury you can imagine: outdoor shower, bathtub for 2 with private garden view, four post bed with crisp white linen, expresso coffee machine and the most stunning uninterrupted views from the bed across the private infinity edge pool to the ocean. The private pool is much larger than other resorts with 2 sun beds and outdoor table and chairs, means you won’t want to leave the Villa, happy soaking up the sun and cooling off in the privacy of your pool. Koh Samui was very quiet at this time, so Nora Buri Resort was the perfect place for a relaxing escape. The sun filled days with ever present ocean breeze and balmy nights were ideal for a relaxing escape. Everything you need has been anticipated at Nora Buri Resort, so you won’t need to interact with staff, but when you do you will find nothing is a problem, they are very knowledgeable and quick to act on your request. motor bike hire, laundry, pool towels and extra plates and cutlery for delivered food were no problem. This is an amazing resort of the highest standards and was great value in these times. I would highly recommend this property and would happily return any time.
