My review is only based with my needs during this stay here.
I only needed to stay at the night. And have breakfast. With this in consideration, and given the fact that we are talking about Thailand, everything was very OK.
Air condition was working.
The staff was very nice, and clearly does what they can with the given conditions.
Breakfast was enough to give you energy until the launch time.
Definitely I don't mind to stay again.

Nice hotel rooms and friendly staffs, but everything is broken, old things inside the room and there are no repairs , too bad because Nice hotel but the owner didn't look after.

I doubt that I have the words to describe how bad this hotel is! This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. We were not given access to our 2 rooms until 8.30 pm due to “ house keeping issues”. We were forced to wait in the lobby with multiple other guests to wait for our rooms for many hours. No apologies offered.
Once we got the rooms they were filthy, rubbish still in bins from previous guests, floors not vacuumed, curtains stained from years of use and no cleaning, doors stained from years of handling and no cleaning.
There was no hot water, only one lift was operational so long waits snd the one lift that was working was beyond’s its service date. The issues in this hotel go beyond the front line staff. The senior management/owners obviously do not give a toss about the guests and are more focused on $. In my book that is taking the p!ss. Don’t stay here!

Unsatisfactory Experience at Lanna Palace 2004
My recent stay at Lanna Palace 2004, an established hotel with a lengthy history, unfortunately failed to meet the expected standards of service and quality. Despite its convenient location, providing accessibility to the town and night market areas, there were significant drawbacks.
One notable concern was the staffing situation. While there were typically 2 to 3 staff members available, their English proficiency was lacking. This, coupled with a subpar service experience during check-in, reflected a lack of efficiency and attention to detail.
Room maintenance was another issue, with outdated and cumbersome room keys leading to poor lighting due to malfunctioning lamps. Safety concerns arose from the slippery bathtubs, posing a potential hazard, especially for elderly guests.
Moreover, the hotel's room amenities fell short, as evidenced by the low-quality towels and the absence of basic amenities like tea or coffee, for which room service was suggested instead.
The elevator operation was also problematic, as only one of the two passenger lifts was operational, resulting in prolonged wait times for guests. Additionally, inadequate soundproofing in the rooms affected the overall quality of the stay.
In conclusion, based on these observations, I cannot recommend Lanna Palace 2004 as a satisfactory accommodation option in Chiang Mai. It appears that the hotel is not meeting expected standards in terms of service, amenities, and overall guest experience.

Seems to be a fancy hotel. I went to a meeting hall for a church having a service there.

The Lanna Palace Hotel has a great location. It's only a 15 minute walk to the Khao San Road. For breakfast, there are a lot of options. However, the WiFi is weak and when we arrived in our room, there was a amonia smell that lasted three days. The room next to ours had mold on the bathroom ceiling and the amonia was a result of the cleaning of this mold.

Great location. Walking distance to markets and night markets with lady boy cabaret show. Rooms are good and breakfast isn't bad at all

Stayed here with a large student group. This is a payable option for a stay in Chiang Mai. The night market can be reached in 15 minutes by foot, but I recommend to take the red van to go to the night market, only three minutes drive. There is a supermarket (seven-eleven) next to the hotel. The staff speaks average English, but they can always understand you. The rooms are ok, pretty spacious, have airconditioning and all the basics are present, but the hotel is not the newest one. WiFi works but keeps falling out some times, I hope this will be solved by the hotel. The breakfast was all ok, but sometimes we needed to ask if the staff could refill the food because it was finished. The swimming pool is perfect, at my time of our stay it was quiet so we had enough room to swim.

Still nothing, but the bathrooms... the Toilet did not work and was never cleaned, all covered with mold, soap and toilet paper was not. The service is lousy.
