Chiang Mai, 132 Loykroh Road, Chang-Klan, Muang 🧭 Map
Visited August 2023 and would recommend this hotel when visiting Chiang Mai. We forgot to take pictures of the room but it was spacious and clean even though a little dated. It was within walking distance to the night markets. There's a spa, restaurant, and tourist info as well.
Good location, tasty breakfast with vegetarian options. Well behaved staff. Facilities like indian restaurant, money exchange,7Eleven shop, massage parlor are available just in front of the Hotel.
I have stayed here 3 times over the years. The location is outstanding and almost anything a tourist could want (from day trips to motor bikes to good shopping/outdoor markets to high quality massage treatments to memorable eating) are all within close proximity. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are above-average (especially for the hotel price). I would wholeheartedly...
Might be the hotel in Chiang Mai with the best location compared to all after dark activities like night bazar, bar area and a lot of restaurants. 7/11 is also just across the street. Nice big and clean rooms. Not new but still in very decent condition. Good air condition, very good bathrooms and showers and comfortable beds. Very big pool area with a neat view of the mountains and a huge breakfast...
Very nice rooms. Large size and good views. Very good air con. Hotel staff very friendly. Very nice pool area but water quite dirty. Very disappointed with pricing policy. Stayed for 5 nights and wanted to extend stay by 2 days. 1 extra night was full rate. They don't do any deal with you to keep you extra nights, despite not having many guests. So I paid for one more night, now staying in another...
Like a goast-hotel, nearly empty because of no tourist due to covid-19, normally fully packed with Chinese. Hotel needs some maintaining too old inside.

The hotel is great for a work conference. Big rooms, big bathroom and nice features. Location is a little far from old city and night market to walk but there is a 7 Eleven across the road and a few restaruants next door. Breakfast buffet and lunch buffet if high quality.
Situated on the river bank a bit off location hotel. Bit dark inside due to the choice of colours. Rooms are large and spacious but need renovation. Haven't been done up in a long time. Very few electric points in the room and none around the bed to charge your mobile. Buffet breakfast spread is limited and just about makes the mark. Very courteous staff and always willing to help. On the plus side...
Little outside the main city but also away from noise. Beautiful hotel, we even got a free upgrade. Pool is little small but still doable for a quick swim. Shuttle service to night bazaar is a great gesture. Easy to get cabs using grab. Overall a great experience.
A very nice hotel with great staff. Everyone was do friendly and always said good morning or afternoon. The rooms are nice and a nice lounge / bar of the side of the lobby.
The swimming pool is okay, but I have been to better pools at other hotels. They do have a bar at the pool and you can order drinks and some finger foods.

Friendly and very helpful lady at IHG check-in, complimentary upgrade, impressive lobby area, huge clean suite with nice view, very comfortable bed, big bathroom with strong water pressure, good breakfast and dinner buffet.
Only at the executive lounge, I did expect a better choice of beverage and snacks.
Music at the pool a bit too loud and
quite a few mosquitoes in the lobby at the sofa area.

Nice place to stay while in Changmai! The hotel is a classic holiday inn , everything you need is here , location is convenient. This place is very good and clean. It is not far from town so you can easily go to different places by red bus which going around the town on the daily basis. Recommended this place
A decent hotel for seminar and functions it seems. Location is good. 15 min from airport without traffic. Near Chiangmai University and the room is rather spacious and decent breakfast if u like Asian cuisine since the hotel is heavy on Chinese tourists.
Most importantly the rate is very reasonable !!!
Old fashioned but very Thai. A conference hotel with traditional values, furnishings and food. Big rooms and little street noise. Not fancy, not boutique, but solid.

We loved this hotel! From the moment we were picked up at the airport and met Ton we were treated like royalty. Our room was upgraded to a high floor with the Mountain View. We were celebrating our engagement and the staff went above and beyond decorating the room. I’d go back to Chiang Mai just to stay at this hotel and hang with Ton.
We've been here 7x to eat at their different restaurants..
All excellent.. service, food, drinks & staff are very personable.
A quite cool atmosphere to relax. We live in Chaing Mai so we didn't stay in the hotel but all Marriott's around the world is our Go-To place.
Great hotel, service, location. Right next to the night bazaar. Very hospitable, from when I entered until I exited. The rooms and amenities were nice. And the breakfast buffet was great too. Definitely a 5 star experience.
Recently stayed at the Marriott Hotel in Ching Mai and the overall experience was somewhat disappointing. First, the room was extremely small. Considering the space standards and price in Thailand, the room felt very cramped and there was hardly any space to open our luggage. This might be because the third floor has many conference rooms, which seem to take up most of the space, affecting our accommodation...
This hotel is definitely a 5 star establishment. They newly renovated their lobby and restaurants. The staff is amazing, friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic. The rooms are incredible. The pool and fitness facility is top notch. They also have locker rooms and a sauna at the fitness center. The breakfast buffet is worth staying in and relaxing before going out to explore the city. I will always stay...
We had dinner at this Chinese restaurant called Han The at the Marriott. It was an awesome experience! The food was made with care and looked amazing. The flavors were authentic and on point, and the service was top-notch. The staff was super attentive and friendly. We even started the night with some killer cocktails at the bar. Those drinks were not to be missed! I highly recommend getting there...

Great large rooms ,
Need clean air condition filters , then will be ok, hotel have more than 30 years, was a great experience, large swimming pool,,
Hope they turn on sauna again , since covid 19 is off ,, as many places in thailand ,,
Old hotel that has seen grand days in the past. It still has luster. The rooms were clean, big and well maintained. Two complimentary bottles of water every day. The food is simple and just okay. Staff was very helpful. Loved the open view from the elevator. The walking distance to the entrance of the old town is 12 minutes.
Quite an old fashioned hotel and looks a bit tired in places .
Don't let that put you off though it's full of old fashioned fancy hotel charm .
The lobby makes you think of the hotel from The Shining.
Big rooms with excellent showers and a big bath tub.
Huge swimming pool and a decent buffet breakfast.
Staff were super friendly .
Great location if you like bars and restaurants.
our team hotel every time we are in Chiangmai. very standard, nothing surprise, staff are friendly, rooms are relatively big (compared to others in the same tier), just a bit dated. 15 minutes walk to Nimman area, or another direction into the old town, very convenient ! absolutely good value for money. during the covid-19 off season, this huge property is literally empty. the lobby floor used to have...
The hotel is old and doesn't seem to have been updated since it first opened. So you can say that the hotel has a lot of the "original charm". The rooms old and needs to be updated but is huge which was nice.
The hotels breakfast is mediocre (doesn't look like anything in the pictures) and the wifi is not the most reliable (better than no wifi). I had to keep signing in which was annoying.

The powerful architecture of the hotel is a bit scary and off-putting for its brutality used and some even ugly. The interior is also very attractive, ethnically decorated and a styled. The rooms are very large and pleasant. There is a fridge, kettle and even a smartphone with 4G that you can bring both the phone and guide to Chiang Mai.

It's a star hotel with spacious bedrooms in tourism area in Chiang Mai. I stayed here for a week. Pretty surprised to see the spacious bedroom with a bath tub, a pantry, a washing machine. The swimming pool has a sauna and a whirl pool.
Firstly, let's talk about the bottom line. This hotel is ideal for families with children who want to stay in a clean and tidy room with a good breakfast and go on day trips during their stay in Chiang Mai. However, it is located a little far from the night market and old city, about a 10 minute taxi ride. My personal experience with the hotel was excellent. I highly recommend it.
It's important to provide a proper space for cleaning staff to rest. Seeing them sitting in a cramped cleaning room was disheartening. They have the right to a fair and decent space to rest. Thanks to their efforts, I was able to enjoy a clean and comfortable hotel, but I believe their working conditions should be improved. All the staff were kind and friendly.
Came here for their breakfast buffet. Many variety of food to chose ( Thai , English ). The food taste good. Bacon is a little rubbery hope they fix this. Service is good too.
I received an excellent service from Kantary Hills! I once tried to stay elsewhere but always come back to Kantary Hills.
Location is nearby airport and convenience to go to local shopping centers. So why move? When everything is here.
For both personal and work wise, the banquet service provides an outstanding service Khun.Yui, Khun.Noom and the team gave a really good supportive everything literally...
Stayed here for 15 nights. Superb service given by the entire staff and they were so friendly. The rooms were quite comfortable. Great place to stay, the daily breakfast is great. Starting to notice west and tear around the place that makes it look a bit aged. Staff are very helpful and friendly and have good English.
I have stayed here a few times. I like the fact that it is near the Night Bazaar, which is a lively place at night. My room, which had a king - sized bed, was a decent size. The breakfast is okay, with a selection of Western and Asian cuisine.
Four star lobby. Two star rooms. The rooms were very outdated and the bathrooms were not that clean. Location was good, in the hotel district. Breakfast had lots to choose from. Even if you didn't like what was served you could probably find something else. Service was excellent.
This hotel was super convenient and location was great. It was near good bars and restaurants. Also we booked excursions from a nearby shop. The pool and included free breakfast was a plus. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We got a free upgrade for the room. Highly recommend this hotel.
Good location, located near the Sunday night market . Also located near few place of interest like old that phae gate and wat chedi luang. Room a bit old but friendly and helpful staff.
Lovely hotel well located close the old town food markets and other tourist hotspots.
A little old itself but clean and friendly with a very nice breakfast buffet with all the usual Asian and Western favourites on offer.

I agree with other positive reviews here.. large hotel, lobby is grand and has a luxury feel for its price. The room is clean and quiet, pool and other amenities are great. I have enjoyed it compared to 2 others hotels in the area. And the price.. great value.
A very good but old hotel. The staff are very nice and the facilities here are excellent, and the decor is very nice, however, it’s very classical. The prices were very reasonable for such a central location in Chiang Mai. It was close to the night market and all the restaurants and the weekend market as well. There was no shortage of restaurants and places to visit and check out.
Everyone is really nice here! The rooms were good.... this is an older hotel, but still good. The lobby is magnificent! With all the chandeliers, statues, sitting areas, small bar and a little light live playing music makes it great! Pool is cold, but on a hot day would be refreshing! We enjoyed our stay here(7days). Would stay here again.
Great hotel. Location is great as it's very close to the night market. Close to shops and restaurants. The hotel looks really good from the outside, the room is nice and big and clean but it needs a little TLC. The bathroom needs a bit of work done. It looks tired and in need of an facelift. A top hotel with great dining and entertainment.
We were looked after in a very friendly manner by all staff, with surprising entertainment during dinner. I give this place 25 stars out of 5.
Our group had the buffet lunch on our last day in Chiang Mai before heading home. Great mix of Thai and western food. The creme caramel is a favorite of ours. As is the waffle and ice cream stand area. We'll be back
We arrived early, they had a room ready. They brought complimentary fruit to the room. Then we went to the market and on arrive was surprised with more complementary goodies. The staff were so polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel to folks back in Mzanzi
The room is large and quite comfortable, albeit a bit old decoration. The bed is just OK, but the pillows are not too comfortable. The laundry bag is chargeable, so don't take it if you don't need it. Breakfast is surprisingly good and have large selection. Location also quite OK, and you can hail taxi easily to night market etc.
A very nice hotel to stay in Chiang Mai, it's near famous night Bazar of Chiang Mai, staff is very friendly and cooperative, an out door swimming pool is there which is great. Quiet, great service, great price. Five to ten minutes walking distance to downtown plaza. Free healthy breakfast was also wonderful.
Lower your expectations from Western standards. Is is an economy hotel with minimal amenities. The good news it is ideally located in the downtown, tourist area of Chiang Mai. I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The staff at the reception deserves high praise for their warm welcome and politeness, especially considering the chaos caused by a large Korean group tour checking in. They handled it with grace.
The location is decent, but unfortunately, my room fell short of expectations. The thin walls allowed me to hear sounds from the neighboring room...
clean room with very comfortable bed, rain shower was warm and relaxing. 10 min walk to Maya Mall & Niman area but best to hire a car or rent a bike to make moving around more accessible.
Branded as Novotel yet it's in the Journeyhub Group.... it's more of a ibis with steroids trying very hard to be novotel. Room is compact and clean no doubt. Just because they put a pity pool on roof top doesn't make it a novotel unfortunately.
Good for business trip, but not the place for luxury getaway or relax. The pool is small and no sauna or steam facilities. Rooms are new and clean as of 2020. We had high hopes of this hotel when arriving in the lobby as it is very grand however its seems that it's just the lobby where money has been spent.
