Chiang Mai, 132 Loykroh Road, Chang-Klan, Muang 🧭 Map
Visited August 2023 and would recommend this hotel when visiting Chiang Mai. We forgot to take pictures of the room but it was spacious and clean even though a little dated. It was within walking distance to the night markets. There's a spa, restaurant, and tourist info as well.
Good location, tasty breakfast with vegetarian options. Well behaved staff. Facilities like indian restaurant, money exchange,7Eleven shop, massage parlor are available just in front of the Hotel.
I have stayed here 3 times over the years. The location is outstanding and almost anything a tourist could want (from day trips to motor bikes to good shopping/outdoor markets to high quality massage treatments to memorable eating) are all within close proximity. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are above-average (especially for the hotel price). I would wholeheartedly...
Might be the hotel in Chiang Mai with the best location compared to all after dark activities like night bazar, bar area and a lot of restaurants. 7/11 is also just across the street. Nice big and clean rooms. Not new but still in very decent condition. Good air condition, very good bathrooms and showers and comfortable beds. Very big pool area with a neat view of the mountains and a huge breakfast...
Very nice rooms. Large size and good views. Very good air con. Hotel staff very friendly. Very nice pool area but water quite dirty. Very disappointed with pricing policy. Stayed for 5 nights and wanted to extend stay by 2 days. 1 extra night was full rate. They don't do any deal with you to keep you extra nights, despite not having many guests. So I paid for one more night, now staying in another...
Like a goast-hotel, nearly empty because of no tourist due to covid-19, normally fully packed with Chinese. Hotel needs some maintaining too old inside.

The hotel is great for a work conference. Big rooms, big bathroom and nice features. Location is a little far from old city and night market to walk but there is a 7 Eleven across the road and a few restaruants next door. Breakfast buffet and lunch buffet if high quality.
Situated on the river bank a bit off location hotel. Bit dark inside due to the choice of colours. Rooms are large and spacious but need renovation. Haven't been done up in a long time. Very few electric points in the room and none around the bed to charge your mobile. Buffet breakfast spread is limited and just about makes the mark. Very courteous staff and always willing to help. On the plus side...
Little outside the main city but also away from noise. Beautiful hotel, we even got a free upgrade. Pool is little small but still doable for a quick swim. Shuttle service to night bazaar is a great gesture. Easy to get cabs using grab. Overall a great experience.
A very nice hotel with great staff. Everyone was do friendly and always said good morning or afternoon. The rooms are nice and a nice lounge / bar of the side of the lobby. The swimming pool is okay, but I have been to better pools at other hotels. They do have a bar at the pool and you can order drinks and some finger foods. The hotel is not that far from the airport and a cheap taxi fare to the...
Friendly and very helpful lady at IHG check-in, complimentary upgrade, impressive lobby area, huge clean suite with nice view, very comfortable bed, big bathroom with strong water pressure, good breakfast and dinner buffet. Only at the executive lounge, I did expect a better choice of beverage and snacks. Music at the pool a bit too loud and quite a few mosquitoes in the lobby at the sofa area. All...
Nice place to stay while in Changmai! The hotel is a classic holiday inn , everything you need is here , location is convenient. Tuk Tuk rides only 150 thb to the main gate and all the activities and restaurants. The team here is very friendly and accommodating ! , from the early morning chef who cooks your omelette and also still manages to find you and brings them with a hearty smile !, to the...

This place is very good and clean. It is not far from town so you can easily go to different places by red bus which going around the town on the daily basis. Recommended this place
A decent hotel for seminar and functions it seems. Location is good. 15 min from airport without traffic. Near Chiangmai University and the room is rather spacious and decent breakfast if u like Asian cuisine since the hotel is heavy on Chinese tourists. Most importantly the rate is very reasonable !!!
Old fashioned but very Thai. A conference hotel with traditional values, furnishings and food. Big rooms and little street noise. Not fancy, not boutique, but solid.

Great large rooms , Need clean air condition filters , then will be ok, hotel have more than 30 years, was a great experience, large swimming pool,, Hope they turn on sauna again , since covid 19 is off ,, as many places in thailand ,,
Old hotel that has seen grand days in the past. It still has luster. The rooms were clean, big and well maintained. Two complimentary bottles of water every day. The food is simple and just okay. Staff was very helpful. Loved the open view from the elevator. The walking distance to the entrance of the old town is 12 minutes.
Quite an old fashioned hotel and looks a bit tired in places . Don't let that put you off though it's full of old fashioned fancy hotel charm . The lobby makes you think of the hotel from The Shining. Big rooms with excellent showers and a big bath tub. Huge swimming pool and a decent buffet breakfast. Staff were super friendly . Great location if you like bars and restaurants.
our team hotel every time we are in Chiangmai. very standard, nothing surprise, staff are friendly, rooms are relatively big (compared to others in the same tier), just a bit dated. 15 minutes walk to Nimman area, or another direction into the old town, very convenient ! absolutely good value for money. during the covid-19 off season, this huge property is literally empty. the lobby floor used to have...
The hotel is old and doesn't seem to have been updated since it first opened. So you can say that the hotel has a lot of the "original charm". The rooms old and needs to be updated but is huge which was nice. The hotels breakfast is mediocre (doesn't look like anything in the pictures) and the wifi is not the most reliable (better than no wifi). I had to keep signing in which was annoying. The staff...
The powerful architecture of the hotel is a bit scary and off-putting for its brutality used and some even ugly. The interior is also very attractive, ethnically decorated and a styled. The rooms are very large and pleasant. There is a fridge, kettle and even a smartphone with 4G that you can bring both the phone and guide to Chiang Mai. Large pool, but water is not the most transparent. Additionally...

Great place to stay, the daily breakfast is great. Starting to notice west and tear around the place that makes it look a bit aged. Staff are very helpful and friendly and have good English.
I have stayed here a few times. I like the fact that it is near the Night Bazaar, which is a lively place at night. My room, which had a king - sized bed, was a decent size. The breakfast is okay, with a selection of Western and Asian cuisine.
Four star lobby. Two star rooms. The rooms were very outdated and the bathrooms were not that clean. Location was good, in the hotel district. Breakfast had lots to choose from. Even if you didn't like what was served you could probably find something else. Service was excellent.
This hotel was super convenient and location was great. It was near good bars and restaurants. Also we booked excursions from a nearby shop. The pool and included free breakfast was a plus. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We got a free upgrade for the room. Highly recommend this hotel.
Good location, located near the Sunday night market . Also located near few place of interest like old that phae gate and wat chedi luang. Room a bit old but friendly and helpful staff.
Lovely hotel well located close the old town food markets and other tourist hotspots. A little old itself but clean and friendly with a very nice breakfast buffet with all the usual Asian and Western favourites on offer. Nice relaxing bar and the drinks are cold. A great base to explore Chiang Mai from!

I agree with other positive reviews here.. large hotel, lobby is grand and has a luxury feel for its price. The room is clean and quiet, pool and other amenities are great. I have enjoyed it compared to 2 others hotels in the area. And the price.. great value.
A very good but old hotel. The staff are very nice and the facilities here are excellent, and the decor is very nice, however, it’s very classical. The prices were very reasonable for such a central location in Chiang Mai. It was close to the night market and all the restaurants and the weekend market as well. There was no shortage of restaurants and places to visit and check out.
Everyone is really nice here! The rooms were good.... this is an older hotel, but still good. The lobby is magnificent! With all the chandeliers, statues, sitting areas, small bar and a little light live playing music makes it great! Pool is cold, but on a hot day would be refreshing! We enjoyed our stay here(7days). Would stay here again.
Great hotel. Location is great as it's very close to the night market. Close to shops and restaurants. The hotel looks really good from the outside, the room is nice and big and clean but it needs a little TLC. The bathroom needs a bit of work done. It looks tired and in need of an facelift. See tiny little bugs crawling around the sink and a few in the tub but a wet cloth can take care of them.not...
Very nice hotel..the location in Chiang Mai is very good..close for everything.. a little black spot..internet Wifi is a shame..for me..only that..
I stayed in a deluxe room for a weekend and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel has definitely seen better days but the room itself was clean, quiet and spacious. Furthermore breakfast, the pool and the location are awesome. Only a two minute walk from the night bazaar and not to far from old town. You get a lot for relatively little money!

Great location, staff is very friendly and checked us in early in the morning after we arrived on the overnight bus. Big breakfast buffet with lots of options. Rooms are big and clean. The pool is great!
A top hotel with great dining and entertainment. We were looked after in a very friendly manner by all staff, with surprising entertainment during dinner. I give this place 25 stars out of 5.
Our group had the buffet lunch on our last day in Chiang Mai before heading home. Great mix of Thai and western food. The creme caramel is a favorite of ours. As is the waffle and ice cream stand area. We'll be back
We arrived early, they had a room ready. They brought complimentary fruit to the room. Then we went to the market and on arrive was surprised with more complementary goodies. The staff were so polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel to folks back in Mzanzi
The room is large and quite comfortable, albeit a bit old decoration. The bed is just OK, but the pillows are not too comfortable. The laundry bag is chargeable, so don't take it if you don't need it. Breakfast is surprisingly good and have large selection. Location also quite OK, and you can hail taxi easily to night market etc.
A very nice hotel to stay in Chiang Mai, it's near famous night Bazar of Chiang Mai, staff is very friendly and cooperative, an out door swimming pool is there which is great. Rooms are very comfortable and clean. Buffet lunch and dinner is served in the restaurant but a room service option is also there. There are number of shops just outside the hotel and one can easily find the basic necessities...

I came to JM because of the reviews, and I agree with them. Terrific massage, great service, and experienced therapists, especially the masseurs.
Really beautiful but kind of old hotel. I still felt exquisite staying here despite the paint peeling from many surfaces. It kind of gave it a certain charm. The Wi-Fi is spotty but does get the job done in a pinch. The pool is beautiful. The weight room is more than adequate for a traveler on holiday. The rooms were clean. The TV was not that great. There was no Netflix on this TV like many other...
I love this place I could imagine when it was built in the 80s. It was a fine five star hotel. Stayed for a week The room service was great Rooms were so comfy and services were on time Manager was so friendly and all the other staff were so humble and friendly The food were so good. Very helpful staff. Everything necessary was close by
t is a beautiful and very comfortable hotel. I stayed in it for three days and the decor is beautiful and unique. Anyone who loves heritage places should visit this hotel. The employee Noparat was very helpful and dealt with me in a sophisticated manner and has high morals.
Great hotel. Big rooms, comfy beds, huge gym, sauna, pool, bar and a great location. The age of the hotel just adds to the charm for me.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The staff at the reception deserves high praise for their warm welcome and politeness, especially considering the chaos caused by a large Korean group tour checking in. They handled it with grace. The location is decent, but unfortunately, my room fell short of expectations. The thin walls allowed me to hear sounds from the neighboring room...
clean room with very comfortable bed, rain shower was warm and relaxing. 10 min walk to Maya Mall & Niman area but best to hire a car or rent a bike to make moving around more accessible.
Branded as Novotel yet it's in the Journeyhub Group.... it's more of a ibis with steroids trying very hard to be novotel. Room is compact and clean no doubt. Just because they put a pity pool on roof top doesn't make it a novotel unfortunately.
Good for business trip, but not the place for luxury getaway or relax. The pool is small and no sauna or steam facilities. Rooms are new and clean as of 2020. The lighting control in the room was very well designed, you can control all the lights from your bedside panel. In-room amenities were limited yet effective. No place to hang clothes in case you’re here for a long stay. No bathtub but the shower...

The reception area is stunning and gives the impression that you've arrived at a beautiful hotel but that's as far as the luxury goes. We arrived at about 2pm and were told our room would be ready in 20 minutes as they wanted to provide us with a nice view. An hour later we had to chase up our room and were eventually given our key card. No explanation about where breakfast is served or at what time...
The best thing about Dusit Princess is the location and the main reason I stay here again. The hotel itself is a bit old but the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are average, nothing special and the bathroom quite small. Buffet breakfast is good though. Overall I would say a good 3 stars hotel
We had high hopes of this hotel when arriving in the lobby as it is very grand however its seems that it's just the lobby where money has been spent. The bed was absolutely rock hard and was like sleeping on a floor mat (actually hurt our backs towards the end of the stay). The walls are fairly thin and you do get a fair amount of noise at night and in the bathroom the shower could do with an upgrade...
Nice hotel overall with nice and welcoming staffs. Room is big with plenty of storage places. Hair dryer is available and iron and ironing table on request. Wall is thin so not advisable for the light sleepers. There's a bathtub instead of a shower which in my room was dirty! It had a yellow tint which u get in all tubs when it's not properly brushed!! Swimming pool is pretty cool from 1.45 metres...
The reason I gave 5 stars is the excellent service we received from the hotel staff. It is true that this is not the most modern hotel and some of the rooms are a little bit old but the staff are very kind and answer every request at top speed. We asked for two connecting rooms so that the whole family would be together. Since there were no connecting rooms at the level we ordered, we were upgraded...

I can only comment on the buffet as I have not stayed in this hotel. The buffet is probably one of the best for its price in Chiang Mai. Only 200 baht for a good variety of Thai and Western dishes plus an array of deserts. Great value but can be busy due to its popularity.

Dusit2 is a fantastic hotel which caters for your every need. I have stayed at this hotel twice now (10 years apart) and the service is as good as anytime. It was my second visit to the dim sum buffet, and I am so in love with it. The menu varieties, the taste, the staff, the service—everything is excellent. I can't wait to come back!
As soon as you enter, the hotel is spotless and gives a warm and refreshing sensation. Great location you can go anywhere shopping or dinning. It is nice and clean hotel with Asian breakfast with Western combination. I will come back again.
Can't be too helpful with this review because I was just passing through and not an overnight guest, but from a location standpoint, I believe the Eastin is ideal. I say that specifically because it's across the street from Maya Shopping Center and in a great neighborhood. I will be very interested in staying there the next time I'm in Chiang Mai.

Cool atmosphere. The area is next to a university, but it's a cool uni. The room was spotless, and the bathroom... I was surprised how clean everything was. My room didn't have a view, but I would absolutely come back here. It's a younger vibe, but for what's it's worth, super clean room and the most spotless bathroom ever. Also, the free water...
