Reviews
The staff was friendly but they did not advise us very well.
The hotel is on a remote location and if you want to go to town you have to take a boat, however when we went into town and wanted to come back in the evening no one wanted to take us because of the wild waves.
In the end they dropped us at another location close by the hotel but we had to walk 15 minutes. The hotel did not warn us about his, nor to they foresee shuttles (except when arriving and leaving from the island to/from next travel stop)
The food at the restaurant is much more expensive than elsewhere and not of great quality.
I would not recommend staying here.
+The resort is rustic and sturdy and lots of natural materials were used. The wooden cabins have been described as outdated but I think this place was made to last and it is quite timeless. Rooms were super clean and everything worked inside. I got the idea that everything is well maintained.
+The beach is quiet and secluded
+Nice breakfast with variety such as fresh fruits, eggs and local dishes and curries
+Boat trips to Maya bay and dive trips can be arranged on site. There is a dive instructor
+two swimmingpools
- food at the restaurant on site was very expensive compared to elsewhere. To give an idea: green curry with rice 260, glass of wine 280, iced coffee 90
-restaurant didn’t offer many protein options for vegetarians other than eggs. I found cheaper curries with tofu (160 Baht) down the beach at Pearl Restaurant
