Reviews
We wanted to check in and we were too early (12 noon) so they had us wait 2 hours in the lobby with nowhere to store out luggage. The girls at the counter spoke very little English making it a bit stressful for us to try to check in overall.
When we finally were checked in the room was under construction - they guy was literally putting a door on the room when we walked up to it!
We went back to the lobby and waited and waited and waited.
When they let us in I had to get them to come and clean the room - it was coated in construction dust! Finally we are in the room and I see the safe is in pieces at the bottom of the closet and the room is for a handicapped guest.
We later discover that the shower completely floods the bathroom (if you aren't in a wheelchair I guess) and that there are NO electric outlets operating in the room. A lamp in the corner has no bulb in it.
I was getting tired of having to go to the front to complain and besides that - every time I went up there, someone different was at the desk.
I begged them to move us and he kept telling me we should never have been in that handicapped room in the 1st place. Hello? I did not choose that room!
After a long drawn out difficult conversation we were reluctantly moved to another room.
There’s a pool but the water slides are not operating, not working/in disrepair some guy in the hotel told me. There's a bar in the lobby with nobody tending it - is it just for looks?
We ate breakfast and dinner at the buffets and lunch at the ala carte restaurant. Service in the restaurant is tricky as they have little English and there are no descriptions of the food items on the menu. Eggs in the breakfast buffet were ice cold, they leave all the warming trays open. Coffee is awful, but that’s how I found coffee all over the country to be honest.
We were booked at this hotel as part of a tour. We were supposed to get free transfers to the airport but that did not happen. The guy at the desk said no way even after I showed him correspondence from my travel agent that said the hotel manager was aware of this. By this time I had had more than enough of dealing with the staff at the hotel. Out taxi took us to the airport and thankfully I had CASH because the driver refused to accept a credit card, even though he had credit card symbols all over the interior of his car.
I was in Turkey for 3 weeks. This last 2 days left a terrible impression on me as I had hoped to leave the country only with wonderful memories of my tour through it.
Anyone who stays at this hotel is a fool.
Room service is a mess. They will charge you for nonsense things. Careful with food as well, some people had bad stomach after open buffet dinner.
All the bad comments that you read here are true.
Some little deficiencies in Room but Maintenance helped, breakfast is Standard not more, Hotel is hot every official door/ window was opened! Spa looked old and no one was there, I didn't checked pool area but looked OK, there was a Poolbar. All in all OK, I was on business there, but not for longstay
The room was nice but had a few issues . The balcony door didn't lock. And the shower screen leaked (the shoddy silicone repair clearly didn't do it) .
If you find that you will be staying here for a night im sure you'll enjoy it .
Review:
The Dalaman Airport Lykia Thermal & Spa Hotel is a truly magical place. It's where dreams come true, but not in the good way.
Here are just a few of the things you can expect when you stay at this delightful establishment:
- A bathroom that floods with water after a shower, so you can enjoy a refreshing swim while you get ready for the day!
- Lots of mold growing in the bathroom, so you can breathe in the fresh, healthy spores while you do your business!
- A moldy bathroom door, so you can feel confident that your privacy is protected!
- A dirty and worn carpet, so you can feel the soft, luxurious fibers beneath your feet!
- Paper-thin walls so you can hear your neighbor breath, so you can feel like you're part of a big, happy family!
- A balcony door that does not lock anymore providing easy access into the room, so you can experience the thrill of not knowing who might be coming to visit you in the middle of the night!
- Dry cleaned laundry like uniforms are hung outside the rooms without any plastic bags making them instantly dirty again by all the people passing through the tiny hallway, so you can always look your best, even if your clothes are covered in dirt and grime!
- The hotel is so heavily disliked by the airplane crew members that they refuse to stay there, so you can know that you're in for a truly special experience!
- The wifi didn't work in the hotel rooms as the signal was not strong enough, so you can finally relax and disconnect from the world!
- The breakfast was bland and limited, with the only drinks of tasteless coffee, tea, and water available, so you can start your day off with a healthy and nutritious meal!
- There was no service as the hotel bar and cafe were closed, so you can enjoy the peace and quiet of a deserted hotel!
If you're looking for a truly unforgettable hotel experience, then the Dalaman Airport Lykia Thermal & Spa Hotel is the place for you!
