Seren Sari Hotel

Rooms were clean. We were on the top floor so we got a lot of heat in mid summer even with air-conditioning.
Pool was nice but nothing wow. Breakfast was Okay but nothing to boast about. Service below average and not overly friendly.
We enjoyed our stay but we were out most of the time.

Booked this hotel because my last hotel was awful (see my review on Alenz suite apartments). Booked in mainly because the AC in my 1st hotel was awful and beds were uncomfortable.

So.. Seren Sari. It's a little hotel just on the main strip of shops so its close to all the main amenities you want: the beach, fast food spots, cash point, doctors surgeon, pharmacy, small shops, bars and clothing stores. Perfect for if you wanna go for a lads holiday.

I'd say that the room wasn't the best of rooms (small and compact, missing simple things like a kettle or a sink other than the bathroom) but other than that, it was suitable for anyone travelling, or looking for a vacation. Didn't get a chance to see what bigger rooms are like so I can't speak for families looking to stay. Came with a balcony with a pretty pointless view (what did you expect for less than £40 though?) but it was still nice to get the open breeze coming in. Was also good for when you want to chill outside, have a smoke and maybe a drink or two (especially you club-goers)

Pool looked exquisite (though I didn't get a chance to go for a dip and I'll explain why), reception was good, and the breakfast service was alright, considering its only £40 per room and brekky included.

My biggest downfall for this trip was that I had a traffic accident and as a result, had a badly scarred leg which I was limping on. When I first arrived at the hotel, the receptionist noticed this immediately and offered 1st aid which I wasn't expecting, but greatly appreciated. Bear in mind, she doesn't know if I'm a guest or if I'm checking in yet, etc so clearly she did care enough for my well-being. She also offered to help me with any bags I had, and the rotating staff on nights were just as friendly and helpful. The older gent on nights was also a joker that you have to talk to. Made me and all my friends laugh on multiple occasions.

The only pet-peeve I have is that my friends didn't stay at this hotel with me, and whenever they visited, the reception called my room to tell me that guests were not allowed unless I paid for them per night, which I think is a bit daft; especially if I am injured and have reduced mobility.

I'd definitely stay here again if I was coming to Marmaris, though next time I'd probably request a bigger room or one with the extra amenities I wanted. Sometimes you just wanna have a cuppa tea in the morning, or after a long night.

Good location for beach and nightly activities. Manager was great! And believe it or not the restaurant downstairs was really fun with great service and the best food we found in town. Mind you it did her loud later at night. But if your going out at night you wouldn't notice since the music in the surrounding area died down at a reasonable time.
