Halıcı Hotel

I am yet to visit the hotel, however, I am feeling slightly apprehensive about my reservation after reading the reviews. I emailed the hotel regarding this important matter and received a response, a week later, advising me to call. I replied by email, explaining that I do not have access to make international calls, and since then I have heard nothing back. Maria, please contact me, as I am getting nowhere, and I will remove this review.

Look it’s like this, u get what you pay for! The hotel was clean, the cleaner daily although they didn’t always put fresh bedding on nor fresh towels, the air con took some getting to temp but then did get cold, we had a 13 year old and they just put a bed in there but it’s fine, the bathroom was tiny and outdated but was clean, the corridors was always clean and the dining room was spotless so let’s talk about food! Breakfast don’t go if u want a 5 corse meal, basic turkey rashes that would have ran if with a kiss of life, boiled eggs and omelette pancakes and toast melon and one other fruit and some granola with a yogurt and some salad items , dinner lots of salads always chips and 2-3 diff meals, the food was always nice that was there just not much choice, tea same couple options they do have a grilling area outside with diff meats but wasn’t my bag, snack bad 2-4 was basic burgers that’s all so after 9 if ya hungry ya screwed till morning after! Drinks, only till 11 pm you do have to pay for some drinks, staff was rude they didn’t talk they was one male that did that’s all, they don’t come round with tea coffee ya do it ya self on 2 machines and they is not enough eating area inside so some ya have to sit out side where it’s that hot ya can’t breath, air con in the dining area there’s 2 machines that’s all so it’s red hot, the hotel was really quite and the pool spot less to be fair, I know it seems I’m moaning I’m not I’m giving u the truth, the slides only on for a couple of hours , pools really deep so that’s nice. One bar out side none inside , would I stay again? I wouldn’t say no but for what we paid we could prob have gone in a TUI one for a bit more, needs a good upgrade, to hotel and food

We stayed at this hotel from 8th July till 18th July .. me,my husband and our 18 year old daughter .. so 3 adults in one room. Rooms are tiny (definately do not look like pictures on website). Couldn't sit on the balcony as air conditioning unit it situated on the balcony and blows out very hot air (unbearable)! Only 4 coat hangers in the wardrobe so had to live out of the suitcase for 10 days. We had an issue with pillows.. we requested 3 extra pillows 1 for each of us in the room ..asked reception a lovely gentleman said 'yes' we will sort it for you.. we didn't receive them so the next day I asked reception again and spoke to a lady who basically said we had no chance .. like I was asking for gold dust! After another couple of days I went to speak to Maria (what a legend) ! She had it sorted within a couple of hours and also an apology in our room consisting of a fruit platter and a bottle of champagne! Maria is a total asset to your hotel she is very much approachable and deals promptly with any issues you may have. the hotel is situated in a perfect location away from all the hustle and bustle if you don't want it but close enough if you do ! Staff extremely friendly and polite 'Omar' or Dave as he likes to be called is so helpful and always happy to help and have a chat. The hotel is spotlessly clean could not fault the cleanliness at all. Now onto the Food (shocking) we ate our evening meal in the hotel the first 3 nights and then we ate out for the following 7 nights .. not much choice at all ..OK me and my daughter are fussy eaters but some nights there wasn't even chips to fall back on so therefore we wouldn't of eaten if we hadn't of eaten out locally. Sunbeds.. what a nightmare ..no sunbed unless you put towels on sunbeds at 12.30am ..horrendous we have NEVER done this ever before !! But then Maria was on the case and she soon had it under control ..taking towels off beds if they wasn't in use as people were putting towels on sunbeds then going out for the day or off to the beach and expecting to have their sunbeds when they returned .. so if you are one of these people DO NOT BE SO SELFISH ! I enjoyed watching your faces though when somebody else was on 'your' sunbeds!! The food is the reason I have only gave the hotel 3 out of 5 it was terrible!! I wouldn't come back to this hotel purely because of the size of the rooms and the variety of food !!
