Reviews
5th visit, position is fantastic, grounds beautiful cared for by a lovely old boy who has been there for years.
The rooms are a little dated but have everything you need and they are spotless.
Eylem the guest liaison lady is lovely, smiley and bubbly an asset for the hotel.
The staff are very young and in experienced which is noticeable I feel they would benefit from more support from more experienced staff. Saying that they worked extremely hard.
Other unsung hero's, the chaps constantly sweeping. The cleaning ladies and the lady making the pancakes.
The food was lacking at times and we ate out more than we have before but the hotel remains value for money and we will definitely be back.
Thank you for yet another fab holiday.
- shuttle bus to the beach. Leaves at 9:30, 10:00 and 10:30 and picks you up from 16:00 - 17:00.
- Hotel boat: it is so beneficial to book via guest relations. They run 2 trips, a Fethiye Bay trip which we did. It was £58 for an adult and it was beautiful. They also run a 12 island boat trip for £70 per adult. The boat trips you can book along the coast are cheaper, but they are much busier, the hotel trip runs with around 15 people.
- A La Carte restaurant. This is a must! The chef is amazing and the food is of a great restaurant standard. The prices are heavily discounted. The sushi dishes are between £2-£4. It is very worth it.
- Entertainment team is amazing. They host a wide variety of activities during the day and in the evenings.
- Location of the hotel is great. You often get a nice breeze being further up the mountain (although it was still blistering hot 37-40 degrees on our stay in July) it is also around 500 lira for a taxi to Fethiye or 200 lira to/from the beach. It is around a 20 minute walk to the cable cars from the hotel as well, this is well worth visiting.
- Outstanding grounds with amazing plants
- Taxi’s are very regular, you simply walk to the security box and press a green button and within a few minutes a taxi will be there.
- The drinks you can get are great, the cocktails are very nice with a good selection and the bar staff are wonderful.
- Each pool has its own bar which is extremely useful. You don’t have to walk far to get a drink.
- Rooms get cleaned everyday with fresh towels. They are very spacious and each room has its own little balcony.
- Turkish night the food is amazing! It is a shame they don’t do more local dishes everyday, but it is worth the wait for this evening. The entertainment is great and the food is wonderful, particularly the kebab and charcoal grill!
- There is food throughout the day. From patisseries, ice cream, Turkish pancakes, snack buffet and even late night soup… which is well worth it.
- If you are an animal lover, there are plenty of cats that roam around the grounds. They do not linger around, but if you catch them they are friendly and like a stroke!
- There are also tortoises, porcupines and pigs on the hotel grounds. We saw the tortoises but nothing else. I think you have to go for a walk around the Lyceum Way to see the rest.
Cons:
- vegetation food choices are limited. The meat options are great, but if you are vegetarian, then there are times you are limited to salad and vegetables. It was very hard for my partner the get protein in. At dinner, there is usually one hot vegetarian dish but if you don’t like that then you’re out of luck. There is always fish on, the same grilled fish everyday and then occasionally another fish dish.
- Sun beds… the hotel has a ‘no reservation rule’ but unfortunately they do not enforce this. At the start of our holiday, we were off peak summer and it was easy to find a sun bed, but towards the end it was the start of the kids holidays back in England and suddenly towels were on sun beds all day, but there is often not people on them! Particularly in the morning, beds are reserved but people were not on them. I am not sure if there is enough sun beds for ever guest and it does create issues. I think the hotel should do something about this.
- Not much is in walking distance. It is a trade off between a beautiful location and being around other places to explore. It did not impact us as we got taxis, but if you are someone who needs to walk around and explore, then it is harder at this hotel.
- Air conditioning in the rooms (at least ours) is not amazing. It kept the room cool, but because of the design of the rooms, they blow onto a wall instead of the majority of the room. We countered this by putting a deposit down for another key card to keep the aircon on when we were out of the room, but it still was not as good as others I have had. Maybe it wouldn’t be such as big a problem if it was not 38-40 degrees like it was during our stay.
- Although the hotel has free wifi for guests it is not amazing.
Thank you for the most amazing time. it was like going away to a retreat. Travelled all over the world and this hotel is one of the best my wife and I have ever experienced!
Numerous cats roaming all around the restaurant and climbing on tables and pestering for food during every meal time.
Food always lukewarm and lacking quality, the dessert selection is very poor.
Generally looking tired with shabby furniture.
Lacking staff and the few that were there didn’t look happy.
Shocked to see that young people of the age 13/14 drinking alcohol served by the bar. This absolutely should NOT be allowed.
Pool too cold to swim in
The nice touches like to fire in the lobby and the blankets for when it’s cold outside were gone
Drinks are all local and not good unless you pay extra for branded drinks.
This hotel is rated 4 star, I’d say 3 stars is being generous.
The entertainment team were good, the activities fun, the grounds are well kept and the location is great, that’s the only positive things about the hotel.
Tranquil by day & lively by night.
The staff are very friendly & helpful, with an excellent choice of food, drink & cocktails.
Nice big comfy clean rooms.
The only thing we could fault, is that they need more bar staff in the evening & a 2nd Efes beer pump is essential.
Restaurant was brilliant, always plenty of choice and fresh food being cooked constantly. We actually ate at the pool bar restaurant area every day as we found it easier, this also had plenty of choice with the addition of an ice cream bar and pancake bar at certain times. All the staff in all areas were amazing. Our highlight of the holiday was the BBQ night which happened to land on my birthday. The food was amazing and it was a lovely evening, we also booked the Al a Carte night which was also amazing. Food was incredible and staff were lovely, we also had wild boar walk around as we ate which I personally loved!
The sunset bar needed its own personal mention as this was what made the hotel for us, we went every evening before dinner just to watch the sunset. We weren’t personally bothered by having drinks up there however we did catch the barman a couple of times so grabbed a beer to watch the sunset. Beautiful wild cats up there that are so affectionate. Make the most of this view, I miss it!!
We did the cable car experience whilst we were there which takes you up into the mountain to watch the paragliding. We did this on my birthday and it was our favourite day. Simply go down to the security gate and grab a taxi and they take you straight there, not expensive from what I can remember. If you can, have dinner in the restaurant right at the top as this was amazing and the food is great. We did go down to the lagoon however for us this was not enjoyable, too touristy and not our cup of tea. It was nice to say we went though and to see the lagoon itself. Again easy bus down to the front from security gate. If we go again we will be sure to do the boat tour, we just ran out of time!
We had a standard room which was actually more than enough, lovely room and plenty big enough with a lovely balcony. We did have an issue with the air conditioning but after a couple of trips to reception this was resolved and clean bedding replaced from the leak. Our maid was just lovely and after seeing birthday cards out in our room, had laid flowers all over our bed. It made my day!
Entertainment wasn’t to our taste, but we did make an effort to go and try each one out. Some of them brilliant, some of them less so. However we actually took ourselves off to the bar most evenings to play card games so to us it wasn’t an issue. However I appreciate all the acts that performed! The shop on site was very handy with everything you could ever need, we often grabbed a bar of chocolate in the evening to snack on whilst we played cards!
A few reviews before we went mentioned the noise of the cicadas, yes they are loud but we actually loved them. Makes you feel like you’re somewhere really exotic haha. We also saw people mention wasps on reviews. I actually did get stung on our last day near the pool so just be mindful that if you sit near the flowers there are some about. Not loads but definitely there. We stayed around the same pool all holiday, the one with the infinity pool. We loved it, always clean and always loads of sunbeds available.
Check in and check out was brilliant, we got a sandwich as we arrived and then snacks were laid out for the people leaving that day. Finally the overall experience of the hotel was brilliant, we’ve never felt so relaxed and we want to thank Montana Pine for an amazing holiday!
The resort is nestled in a pine forest about 5 minutes taxi ride from the seaside town of Oludeniz. There is a secluded, relaxed vibe here which is a nice contrast to the bustle of the town.
We don't often stay all inclusive but we found the food, drink and service all exceeded our expectations. You could easily spend your entire holiday on-resort if that is your preference.
Our room was large, very clean and had a little balcony with an amazing view down into the valley.
There are also a lot of small details that make this place different from other hotels. For example, there is a sunset viewing area, animals that roam the grounds (cats, boars, turtles) and a traditional Turkish pancake kiosk.
We made use of the jacuzzi and steam room and also tried out archery, mini-golf and air rifle with the events team - there wasn't any extra charge for these activities either.
So all in all, thoroughly recommended.
Location is beautiful. Set at the foot of the mountains with amazing views (if you’re lucky you get that from just your balcony). Mountains means hills, but that didn’t bother me as it might others. You’re also a bit of a trek from the beach, which requires a shuttle service there and back.
Great size pools. You can actually have a good swim and dive into the main one and relax and splash about in the others.
Food was terrific if a little repetitive. I didn’t drink anything but beer because the cocktails were liberally thrown together and mostly tasted like pure vodka (but you might like that sort of thing). My gf said the wine was alright.
Top marks for all the staff except the well moody desk clerk that kept picking her phone up or answered calls mid way through attending to us. The fun time team were spot on! And the restaurant staff were exemplary.
