Hotel Van Zandt

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Van Zandt, which has a great location close to all the cool downtown spots. The staff takes hospitality to the next level, blending sophistication, comfort, and world-class service seamlessly. All staff were attentive, making us feel welcomed and well-cared-for throughout our stay. The hotel has two restaurant/bars now which were both fantastic, offering a great selection of cocktails and a chic atmosphere, both bar menus offered an impressive selection of premium spirits and wines.In addition to Geraldine’s, the lobby now has The Brass Poppy that brings another element of elevated style which uniquely represents Austin. It’s not just a place to have a drink; it’s an experience in itself. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with elegant decor that perfectly balances modern luxury and classic charm. The bartenders were true artisans, crafting signature cocktails that were as much about the presentation as the taste. I highly recommend trying the Brass Poppy— a delightful mix of flavors that was both innovative and refreshing with a nice reposado tequila. Our room was amazing, spacious and comfortable.The rooftop pool was well maintained, offering views of the city and great bites and cocktails poolside. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway!

This was a great hotel stay. We enjoyed the poncho suite. Sexy and swanky the vibe is fantastic. Food at Geraldine was flavorful and the gin drink was hands down my new drink fav light floral and perfection. Johnny was a great addition to the experience--definitely keep him around. Only request? Add some robes to the room.

I cannot begin to explain how impressed we were with the hotel and the staff. Everyone was so gracious and accommodating.
Upon our arrival, Bushra was all smiles and full of life. She got us our room quickly, and we checked in. I called and mentioned we were there on our anniversary and wanted to see if a cost was associated with a suite, and she could accommodate that for us as a courtesy. We were beyond ecstatic with our suite, and I enjoyed relaxing in the standalone tub.

On Thursday and Friday, we went to the cafe for the complimentary wine/beer, and Robert was an absolute joy to chat with. We also met him at Geraldine's for brunch on Saturday, and he was the sweetest, making conversation and just making it a very personal experience.

The next day, I received a text from Jared checking in on us and our stay. We chatted back and forth, and I asked about a late checkout since our flight didn't leave until almost 7 pm. He graciously offered us a late 2 pm checkout so we could enjoy the hotel a little longer and not have to walk around town with our luggage.

Thank you for making a short getaway for us an easy and enjoyable stay with you. We will certainly be sharing our experience with our friends and can't wait to come back!

Van Zandt is an amazing hotel! The hotel is beautiful, has a nice pool and excellent restaurants. We enjoyed drinks and live music at Geraldine's and had fun in the pool. All the staff are great - the people in the lobby were very helpful, the Cafe 605 staff were very friendly and the housekeeping staff were equally fantastic. My sister stayed at another nice hotel and was so unhappy with the customer service that she left her hotel and booked a stay at Van Zandt after I raved about how great the service was. Also, Paul in the lobby was very helpful and made my stay here incredible. Thank you Paul and the entire VZ team!!

Great hotel right in the middle of everything. IT was a little cooler than my wife and I were used to. Whether you're looking for a killer girl weekend or hanging out with guy friends, this is the place to be for killers. The rooftop pool is great and the restaurant has great food/ambience

Incredible and accommodating service. Amazing rooftop pool + food + drinks. I love this place. Geraldine's brunch and dinner were incredible, we didn't even want to leave the hotel. Free happy hour in the lobby. It's impossible to win.

Very good hotel. The area is very interesting, with lots of nightlife and an incredible variety of options. The only downside is that there is music playing outside, but that wasn't a problem for me. The room is very nice and the spa tub is amazing. The price is right for a room of this caliber. Will definitely come back again.

Such an amazing place! The staff is exceptional and professional! We can't describe what a wonderful holiday we had! We didn't even leave the property! The Royal Spa Suite with Lake View was wonderful! Abdul and Gordon were very helpful and look forward to returning soon!
