From the moment we arrived at Hotel Viata, we were welcomed like old friends. The staff is genuinely warm and attentive in a way that feels effortless—every interaction, from the front desk to housekeeping, felt personal and sincere. They truly go above and beyond, not because they have to, but because they want to. That kind of hospitality is rare, and it made our stay feel incredibly special.

The grounds are absolutely stunning. Lush landscaping, elegant architecture, and thoughtful details everywhere you look make it feel like you’ve stepped into a European villa. The MUSIC was so on point. Even though intended for background music, the music selection was on point.
Whether you’re strolling through the courtyard for some games or relaxing by the pool, there’s a calm, luxurious atmosphere that’s impossible not to fall in love with.

The restaurants on-site were just as impressive. Each meal fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and impeccable presentation. The servers were so kind and attenuative. And the cabana? A dream. It was the perfect spot to unwind in style—private, comfortable, and surrounded by beauty.

Hotel Viata isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to remember. We left feeling rested, cared for, and already planning our return.

Love the location, rooms were decent. However there was one night where we were at the pool, one of the service workers came out and saw my wife and I and a few other people in the hot tub, still decided to lock the gates and lock the doors and we had to hop the fences in order to get back inside the hotel so that wasn't fun! They could have at least told us hey I'm locking up. Overall It was a good experience with the staff at the bar and restaurant.

Amazing. Our suite was spacious and had an ideal floorplan with maximum separation between the living room and bedroom. The bathroom was huge with real stone floors. Walk-in closet large enough to be considered a bedroom in Europe. Big tub and separate shower, both with excellent water pressure. The overall vibe of the hotel is like Santa Barbara-esque. We didn't try the restaurant but we heard good things. Friendly staff, overall an excellent hotel. I will stay here again

The hotel is secluded into the wilderness with a winding road to it. The front door workers are nice and knowledgeable. With each turn into the hotel, you feel more like a king. This hotel is very professional, proper, and friendly. Great stay! Floor 2 has all of the amenities. And sometimes you can hear some coyotes at night, so do not wander off. Enjoy your stay!

A wonderful stay and exceeded our expectations.

The drive up immediately let us know this was a special place. Incredible view of the West side hills. A winding road lined with Cypress trees and flowers.

We arrived and they let us know they had moved us up to a nicer suite. Offered us 2 room options. The first room on the 3rd floor was too close to the pool. It was the afternoon, on a holiday weekend, so the pool was packed and the music was loud. We opted for the scenic, and quieter, end of the hall 8th floor suite.

Just an incredible room. Lovely seating room, walk-in closet, spacious bedroom with a King Size bed and a large Bathroom with a beautiful tub and large shower.

Such incredible views out of all windows. Finished out very nicely.

Thank you Hotel Granduca for making my birthday weekend memorable. Your grounds are lovely, your staff is friendly and accommodating and the hotel is exquisite. We enjoyed the pool, the air conditioned patio and our room. My only complaint was not knowing the pool was under construction and the wine cooler in the room was not cool enough to keep food cold. Otherwise it was wonderful!

From a wedding photographer's perspective, Hotel Granduca is truly special. The reception space is just exploding with so much color, which we LOVE. The Spanish architecture adds such a unique element to your wedding day. Your guests are going to have their jaws drop when they arrive and leave with an experience that will be hard to top by any other wedding they attend in the future. Absolutely lovely hotel. For one of this quality, the prices are very fair. In addition to beautiful rooms/suites, the surrounding area is the most beautiful Austin has to offer. We’ve stayed in nearly all of the best hotels Austin has and Granduca is our favorite.

The location of this lovely hotel is breathtaking. Green, rolling hills make this a delight for anyone who wants to be away from the busy downtown area. The drive up makes you feel like you're not in Texas.
The staff friendly and welcoming. The rooms were spacious, clean and offered what we needed. The showers are awesomely spacious. The robes and a welcoming bottle of wine in the room, were a nice touch.

The biggest downside, toilet room has no doors, so absolutely no privacy

Was in Austin for surgery. Stayed here and considering the circumstances, my wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Parked in the Apple lot without issue, the valet folks were very friendly, the lobby smells amazing, the people at the front desk were kind, the bar and restaurant were fantastic, the room was large with a wonderful view, and it was very clean.

The food was so good though. Highly recommend the margarita pizza and the vodka pasta. The pizza was one of the most delicious I've had to be honest.

Anything we needed was promptly delivered to our room.

Would definitely stay again, and actually have some fun when I'm not so sore from surgery.
