Stayed here as part of a family event. Had three suites ourselves and many rooms across the guests attending the event. Rooms were good sized and decently appointed. Check in process was poor and significantly negatively impacted our stay. Follow up on needed remedies to this issue was poor. It’s a nice facility, but I will stay elsewhere in Austin when I am back. The banquet staff was really good, however. A noted contrast to other guest-facing areas we experienced.

As others mentioned, for the quality and the price point you just expect a little more. Example: balconies with beautiful views but no furniture to sit on and beds that are not as high of a quality as you might expect for Omni. It seems like they rely only on their golf course views.
The property is beautiful and the golf course is immaculate. The pool chairs are ripping and quite uncomfortable. The food in the restaurants is okay and not a terrible price point. The drinks are a little high for what they are. Menu options are lacking. It is difficult to get what you ordered and it takes quite awhile.
The biggest problem I have is that the pool area needs a sealant or to be redone. It is a major safety hazard with adults and children slipping all over the place. My child fell 3 times just trying to slowly walk back to the pool. One of those times she hit her head on the metal part of the pool chair. I eventually fell as well hurting my back, elbow, and my hip pretty badly.

The hotel and spa are beautiful, the views are amazing and we really appreciated how family-friendly it was. It was great to stay somewhere welcoming with our baby—everyone was very kind, especially housekeeping and the front desk staff.
But unfortunately, our experience was tainted from the moment we arrived. The valet staff was incredibly rude. When I started loading my own bags onto a cart, they looked down on us, made us feel completely unwelcome, and then walked away.
On the day we checked out, my husband went to ask for a luggage cart so we could bring our bags to the parking lot (which is not close). The valet staff told him we couldn’t use the carts unless we had valet service. So he started carrying all the bags himself. When he called the front desk to clarify, they said that wasn’t true and sent a cart—along with the same valet guy who told us no earlier, and of course, he came with an attitude.
Another big issue: this hotel is not inclusive when it comes to food. There were almost no vegan options. In 2025, this just feels out of touch and unwelcoming to certain people like ma and my family. It was especially tough because we were traveling with a toddler who is also vegan. French fries aren’t a real meal. The room service menu didn’t have a single vegan item, and only a couple restaurants had anything suitable.
We won’t be coming back, which is a shame, because the rest of the experience had potential.

I wanted to love Omni Barton Creek as it is a beautiful property and stunning to drive into. The surroundings are stunning and the golf course is immaculate looking (didn’t play). We had a Premium Double Queen Balcony Room. The beds were adequate but far from what you would expect from a property like this that carries such a price point. One of the wall outlets was completely unsecured to the wall box inside the wall and completely pushed into the wall when I tried to plug into it. The outlets next to the bed in the nightstand were non functional as well. I called and had the engineer come up to address it and they just repositioned the wallplate so it’s flush with the wall but didn’t attempt to actually fix it. Safety issue flat out. They didn’t fix the outlets in the night stand either. The food in the restaurants was average, but the price point wasn’t crazy high so I guess that’s a positive. We had to send back drinks and food that wasn’t prepared properly and they did fix it immediately. Overall, it’s a beautiful property aesthetically with good amenities but absolutely is not worth the price they are charging. A Westin property or JW Marriott is a much better experience.

Had the absolute best girls’ weekend, all thanks to Jasmine and the entire Omni team. Jasmine reached out after we booked and went above and beyond to make our weekend perfect. She booked the spa, made dining reservations, and helped us plan out every detail. Once we arrived, our connecting rooms were ready early, service on site in every area was impeccable, and we spent an entire day at the spa where again, service was above and beyond. Cannot say enough about this resort - everything is perfection. Can’t wait to go back again hopefully very soon! THANK YOU TO JASMINE and the entire Omni Barton Creek staff!

While staying at this resort, we played a round of golf which was amazing. More amazing is that my gold rolex fell out of my golf bag while the bags where being transported back to the hotel. An employee found it and turned it in to golf shop, who turned it in the hotel management. I know I don't have to tell you the probability of this happening, and it required a number of levels of incredibly honest people. I took this watch off my dads wrist when he passed away and it means so very much to me. Thank you Omni Barton Creek for employing the most honest people in the world!

The resort was just okay. Much needed renovation. The pictures in the hallways are so out of date. Hard to believe they still have them up. Pictures were from Jim Crow days. We went for Christmas and they were short of staff. Hospitality industry unacceptable.

I had my wedding reception here. Everything went really well. The event planners and managers were always on top of everything and everyone was very accommodating.

Hotel is fantastic! Views, scenery and use of nature/outdoor areas is awesome! Service at the bar was a little slow, but I'm told that's temporary until renovation is completed. All else was great! Can't wait to come back in December for ice skating!

We just spent three nights here and had a very pleasant stay. It's in a beautiful location, the staff is remarkably helpful and courteous, it's extremely quiet, and the food is not bad. The hotel is undergoing renovations, but this didn't impact our stay at all. Our room definitely needed updating (as does the whole place), but it was comfortable and clean, and we never heard a sound from another guest (and the hotel appeared to be reasonably full). After staying in several new chain hotels in recent months where we were consistently awakened by noise from other rooms or the hallway, we particularly appreciated the quiet nature of this place. We'd definitely stay here again.
