Reviews
Firstly, the swimming pool was out of use for maintenance but this wasn’t communicate prior. So we had a week with kids not able to use a pool.
The rooms are very old and dated. We ended up staying in 4 rooms
Room 1 was found dirty - stale food under edge of bed.
Room 2 door entry didn’t work.
Room 3 the air con was faulty and made loud bangs throughout the night
Room 4 was dated but ok.
This hotel clearly lives of the energy industry. Supporting travelling workers and holder conferences etc.
However, they shouldn’t get away which such poor upkeep.
Stay there if you just want an easy commute to office. No other reason.
Hyatt Regency Houston Downtown offers a luxurious and comfortable stay with top-notch service. The location is perfect, within walking distance of many downtown attractions, restaurants, and business centers.
The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and great city views. The lobby is stunning, and the on-site dining options provide delicious food and drinks. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making check-in and check-out seamless.
The hotel’s amenities, including the fitness center and business facilities, are well-maintained, and the overall ambiance is both elegant and welcoming. Whether you're visiting for business or leisure, this is a fantastic choice for a stay in Houston. Highly recommended! ⭐🏨
However, the staff at the checked-in counter said that the original room that we booked can only fit two beds so we have to paid extra $39 to upgrade to a corner room to either have a sofa bed in it or add a rollaway bed.
When we opened the room door, there were only two small double beds with no views! The quality of the room was a little below expectations, not spacious at all. It has a great lobby and amenities as a four-star hotel but the overall experience for the room was very disappointing.
The rooms seem to appear having some recently updated features. For instance the lighting, bedding and furnishings in the room. Yet, other things appeared to be dated, like the door and shower in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and the convenient layout of the room.
Negatives of the stay, would be the dirty heating vent in the room. Couldn’t help but notice, was significantly covered in dust/dirt.
Also the gym, was quite small when you had 10adults trying to utilize the space at the same time.
Could hear quite a bit of noise until 1am, even on the 27th floor and on a Weekday night coming from the bar situated on the lobby floor.
Was told not to go walking around at night alone. Also, noted a lot of restaurants nearby closed early.
