Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles Westside

I've stayed around this area many times and had to choose this Courtyard due to availability. First, the service was subpar and quite frankly disappointing compared to many other Marriott properties. I asked for an early check in on the day I was arriving and got it confirmed over the phone. As I got stuck in traffic, I called again to confirm the time and then was met with the a different employee of the property who said there was no confirmation of my early check in. This was disappointing as I would not have attempted to head over in rush out traffic if I didn't know I had early check in. I told the representative, well I am about 15 minutes away, can I get a room when I check in at the front desk and she said no, the answer will be the same.

Upon arrival, I figured why not try, so I got to the front desk and asked to check in and got a room. Again, I have never had service like this before over the phone with a Marriott hotel.

Then when I got to my room, there was a mildew smell and the towels had some stains on them. This property did not seem as clean as most Marriott properties.

Anyways, I was thankfully only there for one night, but I recommend people looking elsewhere in the area for a better hotel than this Courtyard.

Our room was issued without sheets for one of the beds and apparently everyone in the hotel was unable to give us access to the linens we needed. After a 12 hour day of traveling, a 9:50 pm arrival and closed restaurant when we arrived, we are awaiting a second shift night clerk who may have access so our daughter can sleep. Front desk attendant was very “not my problem” and maintenance man with master key (to linen closet) was too busy emptying trash to be bothered to help.

Seriously unimpressed with the customer service and lack of proper amenities we paid for when we planned this trip months ago.

Wasn't pleased with my stay. The rooms were ok but the appliances were outdated. When you flush the toilet it almost rattles the lid right off. The AC Unit sounds like a washing machine and is super loud. The safe and the fridge weren't working the first night. They also charged you to park in their parking lot, $25 a night. Which I would kind of understand if they had limited parking, but they had tons of parking. Just felt like they were trying to squeeze every penny out of their customers. We were instructed that if we wanted cleaning service we needed to ask for it. We asked the front desk before we left for the day only to come back and it had not been done. I brought up these issues to management and he apologized and instructed me that he would personally see that it was done the next morning. Sadly it still never happened. So i honestly can't recommend staying here.
