This place was absolutely amazing the beds were the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The house car was a rolls Royce that took you in a 2 mile distance. I recommend staying here. The people was so nice and it was just the best hotel ever

I attended a special dinner event and the entire staff was very professional and very attentive. If anything was needed, they happy accommodated our request. We also met the restaurant's chef and he was a delight.

This review is spa only. It's a lovely olace to unwind and the massage services are great if you are staying at the hotel. They have all the usual amenities like sauna, steam room but no private soaking tub. There's a Jacuzzi and pool outside that is heated which is nice. Otherwise, it's a very tiny spa, not for group events.

As classic and gorgeous as its reputation suggests. Beautiful antique wood stairways and doors, spacious rooms with fresh flowers throughout. And that lobby! Seriously? Very very nice. Exceptional service. I have a high floor on with a huge balcony and a view of LA. The Gym is adequate, not amazing. The steak at the in house restaurant Cut was not the best I've had. The room is very spacious with a big bathroom and a soft bed, the carpet looks dated. The valet area is a little rough.

Beautiful hotel next to Santa Monica Pier overlooking the beach. Rooms are luxurious and the views are wonderful. Stayed here for a few days for work and its location next to the Santa Monica Pier was just great. The staff I met were helpful and friendly. Accommodations were as expected, and I was entirely comfortable. The outdoor pool faces the sea but is overlooked on three sides by multiple levels of rooms. Just had an amazing stay. We are on our honeymoon and only stayed one night but they were kind enough to give us a an upgrade to a beautiful corner suite as well as sent us some complimentary chocolate covered strawberries. Our first visit here. It’s not cheap, but you really get your money’s worth. The place is peaceful and calm (except at night, when they play music in a very high volume at the bar). We enjoyed the hotel restaurant and bar menu as well, but found the room service to be quite overpriced. Nice pool with great views, but quite small for a hotel in this size.

This hotel is a historic local Gem that has traded ownerships several times. The history stretches back to Cary Grant days, and in fact you can see a lot of his photos while he stayed here, all those years ago. I like this hotel. There is something authentic about it. There is certainly a minimalist approach with a focus on wellness. We have a king loft suite (I believe), which gives an uninterrupted view of the skyline. We sat on the terrace and watched the sunrise and set it was absolutely peaceful. The most beautiful of hotels. Luxury at its finest, L'ermitage of thought of everything and more to make the stay the most enjoyable. With the most thoughtful and friendly staff and touches of old Hollywood glamour, I will tell anyone who listens to stay. :)

Rooftop bar was excellent. Great food. Breakfast excellent. Rooms nicely designed. Super comfortable bed and pillows. Concierge and staff all extremely helpful. A very well run hotel, by people who are clearly proud of their hotel.

The staff was very friendly and the decor of the hotel very cool and stylish. Comfortable beds, nice views and a very trendy rooftop with a fireplace. Highly recommended for visiting downtown.

We had an amazing stay at the LA Proper when in town for business. Immediately the valet team was incredibly friendly and attentive, as were the front desk staff. I’ve stayed at the Austin Proper before and had friends stay at the Santa Monica Proper and the environment, amenities and service of the LA Proper were a step down in every regard. Our time at the Proper LA was phenomenal. Great staff, great activities, great premises, great service, great views!
