This review is spa only. It's a lovely olace to unwind and the massage services are great if you are staying at the hotel. They have all the usual amenities like sauna, steam room but no private soaking tub. There's a Jacuzzi and pool outside that is heated which is nice. Otherwise, it's a very tiny spa, not for group events.

Beautiful hotel next to Santa Monica Pier overlooking the beach. Rooms are luxurious and the views are wonderful. There is a rental counter in the hotel if you want to take a day drive up to Malibu or Santa Barbara (both well worth it). I've stayed here many times and can't wait for my next visit. Stayed here for a few days for work and its location next to the Santa Monica Pier was just great. The staff I met were helpful and friendly. Accommodations were as expected, and I was entirely comfortable. The outdoor pool faces the sea but is overlooked on three sides by multiple levels of rooms. Just had an amazing stay. We are on our honeymoon and only stayed one night but they were kind enough to give us a an upgrade to a beautiful corner suite as well as sent us some complimentary chocolate covered strawberries. Literally on the Hollywood walk of fame. Museums and shops in walking distance. Universal Studios a very short 15 minute drive away. Our room and the hotel in general were clean and in great shape. Responsive staff. The area lost power in the middle if the night, so The hotel security staff escorted us back to our room after we walked our dog.

We were here for a red carpet event. The lobby can use some updating but the rooms were nice and clean. Customer service was good. I was a little annoyed that checkin wasn't until 4pm. If you don't want valet service, you can park across the street at the Hollywood parking garage for 12$ a night.

This hotel is a historic local Gem that has traded ownerships several times. There is certainly a minimalist approach with a focus on wellness. We have a king loft suite (I believe), which gives an uninterrupted view of the skyline. We sat on the terrace and watched the sunrise and set it was absolutely peaceful.
