Hollywood Historic Hotel

We stayed here for two nights a few weeks ago on the recommendation of friends.
We were not disappointed, as other reviews have said Michael, at the front desk, is a gem and he truly is!!
Betty from the front desk in the morning, was also very helpful and kind.
This hotel was clean, quaint, and the bar staff and food were also amazing.
This is a great historical hotel in a central location. We felt very safe and the parking lot is very secure.
The rooms were clean, the beds were a little soft, but still very comfy.
Highly recommend this property!

Michael was courteous & funny at the front desk. Beds were comfortable. Water pressure could be a bit better in the showers.
If you you have a room overlooking Melrose you can see the Hollywood sign (albeit a bit far away)

Such a gem in LA. So reasonable and friendly. Comfortable and great location. The cafe on the corner serves the best coffee and croissants with an incredible selection of cakes. Such a great lady that runs the place. Definitely worth a visit!

We have stayed here twice and will absolutely stay again. As everyone has said, Michael is fantastic!! Great sense of humor and very accommodating, we love him! Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. EDMON next door is a great bar and restaurant. For those who have complained about the parking fee, good luck finding secure parking on the street in that part of Hollywood; we were happy to pay for that, and you can come and go all you want during your stay, and the lot is monitored. We love this hotel!

Amazing hotel. Amazing service. Amazing location. This was my 3rd visit to Los Angeles and by far my favorite and I truly have this hotel to thank. I loved everything about my experience. The view from our room was the best in the city. Amazing view of the Hollywood sign and the Griffith observatory! Couldn’t have been better! Amazing food nearby as well! I met some awesome friends while staying here. I
hope to stay at this hotel every single time I visit LA!

We stayed here for 9 nights and don’t have a negative thing to say about this hotel, the staff or the location. Our room was clean and free water bottles were placed by the cleaning staff daily, something most hotels don’t do for free. The hotel manager was kind and went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. We would definitely come back and stay here again.

Nice hotel room for our purposes of visiting the area around Hollywood. Clean and comfortable room, serviced daily and very helpful reception staff.

Not much in the way of public transport links but that seems to be an L.A. problem. There are good options for food within walking distance including a diner and an organic place. The hotel also has its own bar and restaurant.

Paramount Studios is currently closed to the public because of the pandemic but once it reopens, this hotel is right next to it!

Great place to stay! The staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean and quiet.
The building is old & our only complaint was the lack of outlets in the room. Everything else was perfect!
10/10 would recommend 😄
