I recently stayed in a renovated room at this hotel. The room itself looked good and felt new, which was a plus.

However, the comfort of the bed was an issue. The mattress was very uncomfortable, and the pillows, also too hard. I requested a softer pillow, and they offered one with feathers, but it was just as uncomfortable as the previous four. And the choice of TV channels is quite limited.

Additionally, the valet service at the hotel is rude, which does not help with the experience.

On a broader note, I'm left wondering about the role of the Courtyard brand within the Marriott portfolio. Over the past few years, my experiences with their services have consistently been disappointing.

The rooms and facilities are clean which is one of the things I care most about. The condition of the rooms and furnishings are showing more than average wear and damage for this price point. The staff are kind and helpful, doing their best to ensure a positive experience. The location can be quite loud at night and for rooms on lower floors this can be a problem, but of course this is no fault of the facility.

The Hotel has wonderful staff… I am staying here for several days and brought my dogs. One of my pups got loose and without a thought Tremell - the Valet Manager, ran with us onto Olympic Blvd to get her back. He did not hesitate, just a wonderful gent, thank you from the bottom of my heart. They have a lovely hotel with people who obviously love working there. Simone(my pup) and I, thank you!
