The Fritz Hotel

The hotel needs some tender loving care. We had a kitchen, living room, bedroom and bath. It’s not kept well but looks good. The pool and outdoor space looks good too. It’s across from the beach and restaurants line the street. Manuel, the gentleman at the reception desk and the engineer and maid service is the reason I gave the hotel service five stars. Manuel is a great host and a pleasure to talk to about anything.

This hotel is in a great location in South Beach, one of the best actually. It is reasonably quiet (although it was winter, not summer), has a nice pool on the roof, and is close to everything you may want.

The room is very spacious (it has a separate living area with mini kitchen and a sofa bed/TV/coffee maker), which was great, since it felt like a one bedroom apartment, but the decor is not cool at all. With little touches here and there, it could be amazing. It feels dated, a bit bare, and the room smells of some sort of cheap deodorizer.

This would easily be a 5 star review with some small changes. The staff was great - and Manuel was amazing!!

THANK YOU MANUEL! I was in Miami for 15 days on a work trip and stayed at 3 different hotels on Ocean drive. The Fritz was by far, hands down, the best one. I saw the Fritz on Expedia and was about to book it but decided to call the hotel directly to see if they had a better price and Manuel took care of the rest. He offered me a one bedroom suite on the 5th floor with a kitchen, dining room, and partial ocean view for less money than the standard room on Expedia. The room was clean and spacious. Let me just point out that the staff here is absolutely amazing and not rude at all as stated in previous reviews. The maintenance gentleman helped me with TV controls and was very kind. The rooftop pool and terrace are a great asset at this hotel and offer a great view of Miami Beach and the Atlantic ocean. Thanks again Manuel for all your help.

The room was priced right and great location. The room is very nice. The Best part though was Fernando. The evening shift gentleman that checked me in. He is very , very nice and even offered to help me with my bags. He talked with me about Miami. The Best customer service I've ever received. The Fritz is Lucky to have him!!!

We selected a room with partial ocean view and it was perfect! Advice to new travelers: the heart of South Beach is a strip of old-school Miami hotels. Very, very few of them have balconies or ocean views. If they do, it’s very expensive. And these are older buildings where everything is compact. It’s a real city in all its guts and glory.
We picked The Fritz because it was the BEST deal to get a room right in the heart of South Beach with a little ocean view at a decent price. We were shocked to find a full kitchen and living room. You won’t find that in this area easily.
If you need to be pampered and fine dined at an ocean front apartment, do not stay in South Beach (pick North Beach with larger hotels). If you live in the suburbs and go to bed at 9 pm and can’t handle sounds, don’t stay directly on South Beach!
This area is an actual city with bars and clubs on the main levels of every hotel. This is The Fritz, not The Ritz. The staff does not kiss your ring, but if you talk to them respectfully, they’re very nice and accommodating (and I don’t speak Spanish). I had zero problems with the staff or rooms. And the tiny hole in my curtain that allowed the beach sun to caress my room in the morning was wonderful. But I spent more time enjoying the beach outside my doorstep and city life than analyzing every crack and hole in my room.

Place was okay a bit outdated. Hated the mattress. The sofa bed was more comfy than the queen size bed. Good location across the beach

20 min walk to the city center (Lincoln Rd area) and a few steps away from restaurants, bars, nightclubs and the beach.

Noise level is better than the ones that are located North of this hotel in South Beach. It's not completely quiet though. You will hear cars playing music and loud motorcycles at night, and garbage trucks in the morning.

The room was clean, and the staff were nice. The rooftop pool has a nice ocean view and is rarely crowded.

I'd recommend this hotel if you need a bedroom suite instead of a studio room.

Location is amazing! Hotel is very clean, and while it is busy and noisy outside the room itself was remarkably quiet
