Very nice and spacious room. Excellent location and very quiet. Only stayed one night, would have loved to stay longer!

I would love to give this property a 5 star review. We’ve been there 5-6 times although we own in Aruba. The view is still amazing. What’s changed (1) We were there 14 days and saw housekeeping one time. Never saw a tidy service. We emptied our trash in public cans around the property. (2) There are dogs everywhere. They are not all service dogs. We like dogs but enforce the policy for everyone...

We stay there for our annual family reunion. Consistent splendid service and ambience for more than 10 years. Comfy and spacious units, well furnished and equipped. Although it's a beautiful hotel with very nice amenities, we are disappointed with the customer service. They send a pre check in request form for special requests where we asked for a nice view. When we checked in, we were told that they gave us a great view of the golf course and ocean, but it was midnight so we didn't see the actual view which was just a big tree completely blocking everything....

Awesome setting in a classic coastal Cali village of millionaires... the resort is self contained and luxurious. The staff is excellent and there are a ton of amenities for every age. Restaurant on a hillside that looks out over nothing but Pacific (where I'm having a beer with a friend)

Was invited here by a friend and could not have been more pleased. The facility itself is huge but it doesn't feel like it when you're using the amenities such as the pool, hot tub etc. Close to Laguna Beach Newport beach, Fashion Island and Irvine. Absolutely loved the space and the non-carpeted flooring!! The smell of the hotel was amazing, and the design was beautiful too. Bathroom shower wasn’t totally scrubbed clean(just like that orange mildew) but still gave it 5 stars for the price and the everything else. Did not stay at hotel but attended for meeting. Had breakfast, it was good but expensive. Breakfast should have included a kids menu. The hotel looks at little aged. I believe the there was construction going on. I feel parking should have been free. Only valet parking available. Decided to stay else where, glad I decided on that. The location of this hotel is convenient being right across from John Wayne Airport. The downside of this is that if you are placed in a room facing the airport you will have the constant noise of jet engines. Rooms opposite the airport didn't have this issue. Attend events here regularly. The catering staff could do better when serving, as many times they miss bringing plates of food until others at the table are nearly finished eating. Better to have several servers attend to one table until done then proceed to another. Seems very chaotic at best usually. Refilling of water glasses would also be a nice gesture.

Really enjoyed our stay! Comfortable linens and pillows, clean, and friendly staff. Being 6 months pregnant I was a little extra needy and the staff didn't make me feel bad for asking for extra accommodations. The parking area was a little crowded but I think that had to do with some recent construction.

This hotel is now closed and has been sold to Pendry Hotels and Resorts group. (The sister company of Montage Resorts.) The hotel will be fully remodeled and expected to reopen in a year under the new name Pendry.

A fantastic hotel. All the staff were perfect. All our needs were met. We opted out of the room service, received $15 credit per day and drank coffee in the room till we were sweating beans. They provided all the towels . water and other complimentary amenities at non cost per day.

We enjoyed the hotels location. It was great to be walking distance to Fashion Island. Our room had a nice view of the ocean and the private golf course. Although you can't walk to the beach it's very easy to drive there and enjoy the surf and the sand. The pool was crowded but felt homey with a family friendly environment. Definitely the place to stay in Orange County. We were traveling with kids and their grandpa so a bungalow worked out perfect! The views are spectacular and the round pool is epic! A beautiful Hotel overlooking Newport Beach in Amazing Grounds with individual private bungalow accommodation

The place is currently under some construction, but my husband and I were happy with our stay overall. True the parking is a bit tight, but then again all parking is tight in Newport. Also, considering the fact that the beach was but a short walk away, we don’t feel that it was overpriced. The staff was friendly, our room was clean and neat, and bed was comfortable. We would stay here again.

Parking was horrible....but the hotel was new and updated. Not called the best western anymore so we had to drive around for a while till we figured out they changed the name. Constriction noise in the morning and garbage truck backing up even ealier.....I think once they get the sign and construction figured it will be good....just be aware you may not be able to park closer then a block away.

While this hotel is small and charges a lot, the location is nice right across the beach. It did not bother us to have an oceanfront room overlooking the pacific coast highway and the traffic sounds were not that disturbing, but our neighbor who talked over our TV and used profanity was the downfall of our 4 day stay. I love this town and this hotel is in a very convenient location. The beach is across the street and two of Newport best restaurants are a stones throw from the parking lot. The rooms were clean and recently updated. It is currently being renovated and the exterior looks a little bit rough. The neighboring motel is an eye sore but that's not this hotel's fault. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Me and my husband plus our 9 month old stayed here for 2 nights. We loved the room- it had a huge bathroom with shower and jacuzzi! Delicious food. Moderately priced drinks. Friendly wait staff. Wild turtles roam the grounds. Table made of a material that reminds me of when my grandfather was still alive. Chandaliers had a bit too many pictures of starfox on them but it fit in with our waiter who indeed was foxy beyond this world.

One of the best values in OC, especially in the off season. I stayed here in Nov, 2022 for 5 nights, and now again for 3 nights in Feb, 2023. Clean, safe, and quiet. Last time I had 2 queen beds for me and my dad. This time it's a king bed for just me. Large, comfortable room. I had a good night's sleep. The staff are friendly and helpful. Cute little beach inn near the ocean. Accommodations are basic, but they offer a number of items for the beach (towels, sand toys, boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas.) What made our stay exceptional was the service we received, especially from Evelyn at the front. Would stay again!

We had an amazing stay at this motel located right across the beach. Very decent room size, well equipped, great service and super convenient sun deck. I highly recommend ! Within walking distance with several coffee and breakfast places.

This is a nice small motel off hwy 1, right across the street from the Beach. It is away from the pier crowd. There is a playground right behind the hotel, for those with kids. The Beach is just a couple of blocks walk. They offer free boogie boards, Beach towels, Beach chairs and umbrellas. The only issue is that it is an older motel, so the wall are a little thin, and parking is tight.
