Philadelphia Marriott Downtown
Philadelphia, 1201 Market Street 🧭 Map
Overall, the experience at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown was a good one. Returning to Philly for a visit (having previously lived there for a decade), I booked the hotel due to a great deal online. I was most familiar with the building due to the FedEx inside (copies don't make themselves), but the rooms were nice enough, if a little dated. Considering the foot traffic the place gets, I was pleasantly...
Great location. The front desk is always busy but they make an effort to serve you with a smile. Room service is good and overall the staff are friendly. The renovated side closer to the convention centre leaves alot to be desired. I've stayed at this hotel in the past and was quite disappointed with these rooms. The other side of the hotel is more modern and the rooms are kept better. They said...
Love this hotel and the concierge lounge is amazing!! My only complaint is the air quality in my room. I was staying in the tower suites and every morning I would wake up to a layer of dust covering everything as the air settled overnight and the air was extremely dry. Definitely need to have some humidifier’s available for these rooms especially with the dry climate in Philly. It was so convenient...
Great location!!! I was on a quick trip overnight and didn't get to venture out. I loved the lobby with the bar in the middle. It's a great place to hang out and have a drink or two. The room was standard, nothing over the top. They need to update their tvs. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Stayed for one night from Saturday-Sunday. Check-in was quick and easy. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Pillows were comfortable. It was nice to have a bathtub instead of a stand-in shower and the room was reasonably spacious. Plus, it was in a convenient location, close to pretty much everything. Would definitely stay here again! The only downside is that the valet/parking is expensive. It’s about...
Good location near Reading Market, convenient to the Convention Center. Also near the Independence Center. Starbucks and Hertz desk onsite. Comfortable room. Front Desk helpful when asked to recommend car service. However, service in the lobby bar area was rather slow when all our twosome wanted was tea and ice cream. The television reception in the room was also a bit spotty. But overall a good Marriott

Great Hotel right in downtown. Walking distance to many places you will want to visit in Philadelphia. The rooms are very nice and clean. The bathrooms and showers are very clean and updated. The front desk was very nice and accommodating. 2 blocks from Redding Market Place. About 5 blocks from Convention center. Many other great places and sites nearby.
Excellent hotel. The location was perfect- right near many restaurants, shopping areas, and bars. The hotel was very clean and the staff were all very helpful. The gym, wet sauna, and dry sauna are included with your stay. The wifi signal was strong and I did not have any issues with it. The bed was extremely comfy and the view from the 24th floor was gorgeous. The hotel bar was convenient as well...
Overall, this is a great hotel with very friendly staff and perfect location for my needs. Clean and spacious room. Very quiet as well. The issue is the automatic revolving door that stops non stop and when the hotel is full, you have to wait to get in. Overall, great hotel.
Great hotel in building with character. Room was spotless and remodeled relatively recently. Awesome location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Beds are very comfortable if you like firm mattresses. One star off room due to limited amount of power outlets and low water pressure in sink. I will stay here next time in town. Highly recommend!
My first time visiting this hotel was an amazing experience. The scenery was beautiful, and I took full advantage of the amenities such as the gym with a fantastic sauna. The breakfast was a great experience supported by a sweet staff member named Gigi. The digital/electronically experience could be updated within the rooms but none the less I slept like a baby in the comfy bed. I definitely would...
Wife there for conference. Room was fine and bed comfortable. The restaurant downstairs had excellent breakfast but dinners were, for us, a bit pricey. Easy walk to Reading Terminal Market and many restaurants. Staff was helpful and friendly and valet parking helps to ease the check in and out.

My only complaint about my room was that it was so close to the elevator, and I could hear some metallic sound from it. Not really a big deal, but worth noting. Room was otherwise nice, staff was courteous (even with a booking issue, though that was my fault honestly). Super close walk to the convention center, and plenty of food options close by.
Stayed 11/29/24 for what was our 1000 Hilton night and made my husband a lifetime diamond member. We arrived and there were no upgrades however sometimes that happens. In the profile it says away from elevator. We were one room away. Called down and they said yes we have some in other locations but at that point we didn’t want to move. Room itself was decent however Tony bathroom that is in desperate...
Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. The rooms could use updating and our bath tub drain was very slow. Front desk service was nice and you can’t beat the location. We stay here often when coming to Eagles games. Quick ride on the subway into the stadium and plenty of food options within walking distance.
OK, I may not be a regular, but I’ve stayed here at least 4 times in the last 10 years or so, for conferences and for overnight theater stays, and it’s my favorite hotel. The standard has been maintained the entire time. You can’t beat the location. The rooms are clean, well lit, well furnished. Loads of pillows, fluffy duvet. Two USB ports next to the bed. The convenience store/coffee shop...
Room at the hotel was clean and well cared for. Room service did a good job taking care of the room everyday. The complimentary breakfast was enjoyable, though getting coffee there is a bit of a challenge. Hotel lobby is unimpressive and not particularly well maintained. The lounge prices are high, I recommend taking a quick walk to the Capital Grille down the street. The location is excellent...
Rooms could've been cleaner. We found trash under the beds. Probably hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. We found cheese wrappers on the floor behind the desk chair. The plugs by the lamps between the beds were terrible and was unable to plug my phone in to charge. I wound think for what we paid, we'd feel hooked up. We made good with what we had. Other than that, staff is great, the breakfast area staff...

Review of the Ritz Carlton, Broad Street, Philadelphia From the moment I stepped into the Ritz Carlton on Broad Street, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of elegance and warmth. Nestled in the heart of Philadelphia, this luxurious hotel not only offers stunning accommodations but also a unique experience that reflects the rich culture and history of the city. My stay on the 30th floor was a highlight...
Stayed at The Ritz for a work a work conference. Room #1817 was big and clean with great views of the city and City Hall. The bath products were nice. The lobby was impressive. The staff was extremely attentive, friendly, helpful, and professional. The location was perfect. Easy to get around the city. Can't wait to go back. I recommend The Ritz in Philadelphia, PA. I had an amazing stay with...
Iconic old bank converted to a great lobby. In the night this converts into a lively bar space. Location of the hotel is great and within walkable distance to all the historic places. Rooms are big and comfortable.
This hotel did not feel like a true Ritz Carlton property. The building is gorgeous. But the hotel is in need of a renovation. There is no real restaurant…tables are set off to the side of the lobby separated by a curtain. The wait for the elevators was horrendous…sometimes as much as 15 minutes. And the room was uneventful. We might as well have been in a mid-range hotel. If you are looking for luxury...
The service we received all weekend was impeccable. Michael the bell man was so warm, kind, inviting and professional. He was so wonderful during the duration of our stay and made sure we were well taken care of each day. He was great from the beginning of our stay through the end when we requested him specifically to help send us off. He went above and beyond for us and made our experience better...
Stayed here while in the city for courses. Wanted to stay somewhere comfortable, clean and safe. The hotel was fantastic and located very conveniently for us. The hotel coffee spot and bar for after dinner drinks hit the spot and the staff were all super helpful and helped us make reservations as needed. Will highly recommend for others looking for a good safe hotel to stay at in Philly.

Great location. Wonderful vibes. Modern and fun lobby with restaurants open at varying times. Staff was helpful and kind. Rooms are a bit older but spacious. Enjoyed my stay here. I would stay here again if I was going to downtown events. Many restaurants are walkable in the area.
Pros: Great location, vibe is modern and interesting. Cool Mediterranean bar attached. Cons: Our room was dirty. I am not too particular but my girlfriend was upset. Bathroom was not cleaned very well, and the furniture had seen better days. It's a shame, because I love the location and overall the hotel seems cool, but I think we will look for somewhere else to stay next time we visit.
My wife and I arrived with our newborn and the bellman was very kind. I believe his name was Francisco. He helped us get our bags immediately from our car and held them for us in the lobby. While I went to go park the car. He was very friendly and helped us however he could! Once we checked in, which was a very easy process, we are able to get right into our room around 1:00 p.m. And noticed the room...
This place is much better than most of the cheap hotels I usually frequent, but I'm only giving it 3 stars because of a few big drawbacks. Pros: -Room was clean -They provide plenty of pillows -Thermostat in the room, so you can adjust the temp -The bathtub was super spacious and the shower was nice and easy to use, which for some reason is a rarity with hotels Cons: -The room is way too expensive...
We stayed here for 1 night while my husband and I visted some family, and it was a wonderful experience! The hotel was very clean, and very comfortable to stay at. Really nice rooms. Price is usually pretty normal for this area of the city. It’s within a few steps of the actual Rittenhouse square and about a half dozen of the best restaurants in town. Maybe more like a dozen or more. It’s in a great location. Staffs are so kind with excellent hospitality. Dtivers of shuttle service took care of us a lot!! It was so helpful!!
My plane arrived near midnight. The shuttle was there in less than five minutes. The driver was courteous, open the door, carried my bag and introduced himself. The front desk associates were friendly and professional. The room was immaculate and comfortable. Everyone was very pleasant and greeted you every time you came in contact with someone. I will stay here again. It would be nice to have a small...
Proximity to the airport, good reviews, star ranking and room rate all factored in to making this hotel choice. Renovations help to bring this older property into contention. First impression with morning desk staff was very poor and unfriendly. It was evident this young lady was all about her morning responsibilities and not interested in checking in arriving guests. Did not even try and it turns...
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The room was very clean, and all of the amenities made me feel right at home. The temperature and water pressure in the shower were excellent, the bathroom was well-lit, and the air conditioning kept the room just right. Some of the other guests made some noise into the evening, but it wasn't anything that would affect how I felt about the facility. Also, they allowed...
Great stay at this hotel! Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. Room was clean, beds were comfy, and the shower water pressure was amazing. Coffee shop downstairs to get going in the morning (awesome latte). Quick shuttle. Great experience - would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Best rate for long or short term parking at any airport hotels of its stature. Hands down, no one can compete. Shuttle to and from the airport is complimentary. Shuttles run twenty-four hours a day to and from the airport, with a minimal wait time both coming and going. The rate of the room was within par. The room was a little outdated but it was very clean. Lobby and foyer were very modern. Definitely...
The hotel is near Philadelphia International Airport. The hotel itself is very comfortable and has a pleasant restaurant, but my main reason for staying there is to take the airport shuttle for early morning flights. Everything was fine. Very clean. No problems.

Stayed for a Saturday and Sunday night for a weekend getaway to Philly for some sightseeing. Nice hotel in a great tourist location. Lots of things to do and places to eat. We enjoyed the happy hour and views from our room. It’s a shame the hotel bar and restaurant were closed on Sundays, some basic features of a nicer hotel. The carpets and furniture are starting to look worn, something the hotel should start replacing to keep it the nice facility it is.
The Monaco is an elegant and well appointed hotel, surrounded by the history of not only the city, but the country. From Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, to being able to see the USS New Jersey on the river, the views are something else. The common areas are beautiful, from the ship chandelier in the entrance way, to the furniture around the reception area. The rooms are comfortable and look...
Though not the fanciest hotel in Philadelphia, it is my favorite because of its location, pet friendly policy, and practicality. I've encountered different staff and everyone has always been very nice and helpful. From the perfect location in Old City to the amazing staff and beautiful decor this hotel is a complete class act. I would definitely return here to stay. This is easily my favorite hotel in the city. Whenever my parents or my grandmother comes to town, they always stay here and leave very well-rested. Apparently the breakfast is quite delicious as well. And given the location, the price is very reasonable as well.
Clean rooms. Some have kitchenettes, which is great for folks who prefer to make light meals and snacks to make their stay even more comfortable. Great rate for the location. Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance.
The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff is professional and nice. Overall great stay! Perfect location within walking distance of many stores, parking, and restaurants. Great place to stay in the heart of Philadelphia!
My wife and I stayed there 2 years ago and we will be going back next month. Yes the rooms are small, but who cares when you are barely there. There's no better location. The hotel is on a commercial street, with plenty of stores, bars and restaurants nearby, and a small shopping center right across the street. Beautiful hotel with great views and charming service. It's in a great location downtown with plenty of things to do, and the desk always has helpful options on where to eat. The staff at the home 2 suites Philadelphia Convention center was beyond amazing. They are kind and helpful whenever approached. The cleanliness however was not acceptable. Excellent hotel. Rooms and all facilities were great. Breakfast was superb with a huge number of high quality options. Will definitely stay again and recommend it highly. Only thing they can do to improve is to make sure the coffee bar is stocked through the day.

Nice, remodeled rooms. But more importantly, some of the nicest staff and best customer service I’ve ever received. From the breakfast room to the custodial staff and more, everyone was incredibly nice and always asking how they could help me. They seem to enjoy their jobs.
I was there for a conference and the hotel's location was perfect for getting around. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was so friendly and accommodating.
They are remodeling, so it is freshly painted and new carpet. Big fluffy pillows, a very user friendly bathroom, microwave, refrigerator, safe, iron and ironing board. Real nice staff!!!

Last time we stayed here was about 2 to 3 weekends ago and the lady at front desk went beyond the expectation of great customer service. She was someone we haven't seen before but she was such a gem. Also we had some small issues in the room and the gentlemen they sent up to help were so nice and cordial. Seems like the staff there is focusing on customer experience and doing great job !
So far the stay is great. The front desk attendants are quick and polite. The location is pretty close to a few good places to eat and in a good neighborhood. Rooms are clean and the service is great.
First: the staff were stellar. They were not just there for a job; they were dedicated and kind and focused on the client. Most excellent service! The facility was clean and very nice. It was a great place to attend a book signing. And then the food! Fantastic! Really first-class. There was nothing that could have been better!
I had very good service from Evelyn at the front desk. There was a problem with my key and she addressed me by name while taking care of another customer and took care of it without blinking. The room was clean. It is not the newest hotel but I was satisfied with my stay.
The room I stayed in was pretty basic. If the bar was nicer I would have spent money there. The only reason I'm giving 5 stars is because of the service I received by Wister. He was amazing. Give that man a raise ! ?

Newly renovated hotel in old city. Decor isn't to my liking, unfortunately. Hotel staff are REALLY friendly and helpful, always greet me with a smile. I'm only here for work but there's some good people working here!
The old Omni with a new, funky, urban-inspired decor. Spacious rooms...ours had one king-sized bed in what must've been an old two-bed room. Odd leftover space could use some more furniture...maybe a loveseat? Nice new bathrooms. Some parts of the hotel were still under construction during our visit...but nothing that affected our stay. Lobby bar/restaurant had some good cocktails and beer choices...
Many of the hotel amenities were not available to customer service. The bar and restaurant were closed. Our television is defective with a streak going down the screen. The renovation will be beautiful but the in the between time things were not partially ready to service guest. When everything is done we will revisit and get to fully enjoy our hotel stay.

Good price for location and service! Here's a few things, valet parking only ($38) so that's an added expense. Also, you can "check in early" but you won't be able to get to your room until 3 pm. We arrived around 1 and they kept our bags for free and we were able to get exploring around Philly. We usually only stay a night, so if you're looking to do some more exploring, past the noon checkout time...
Mediocre. Yes, location is good, but then plenty of other hotels in a block radius. Nothing really exceptional about the place. For the price there have to be better places nearby, plan on checking one of them out next time I'm in town. Being "clean" is not getting a place 5 stars in my book. Sink and shower would not drain. Staff seemed to be bickering to each other a lot. Guessing weak management...
I recently had to venture to Philly due to eye cancer and had care at the Wills Eye Institute. Obviously not a trip for pleasure but the hotel staff here made this unfortunate situation incredibly better. The Front staff was great, friendly, cheerful and incredibly helpful, thank you to Roshanda and Allison for always having a smile to greet us and offer assistance. The bell man Brandon was great...
I just got to the latham in Philly, it's raining cats and dogs outside. I just arrived here and was not expecting rain. I notice/see that there's complementary umbrella's in the lobby for use by patrons. I was greeted warmly, checked in promptly. I get situated in my room and go back downstairs and the staff is friendly, the areas are clean, it's happy hour and I'm starving. I tried an appetizer...

This is a hidden gem near the old city. The price was right. This is a cozy old building turned into a hotel. There is no general parking. Great place for tourists. The room was small, but clean and elegant. I felt very cozy and safe here. The staff, is INCREDIBLE! Staff was friendly and attentive. Shared local knowledge and experience. They looked after me as a young lady traveling alone. I absolutely...
I reserved two rooms, I requested rooms side by side. When we arrive the young man staff mentioned that there was a problem with one of the rooms, so he put us in the Penthouse suite, without extra charge. Both rooms were very comfortable, very nice and clean. Loved the old fashion, modern feel about this hotel. It's right on downtown walking distance to the trains. Parking was a breezy to find they...
Great location. We stayed there for the flower show. Only 3 blocks away. But the hotel is right in the area of a number of cool Irish pubs. Very friendly staff. The rooms were pretty small but we weren't there to spend time in the room.
Nice place to stay worth it. Validate parking much cheaper and you have 24 hours of use in garage. Helped us as we saw the Christmas shows and went to the holiday markets
Nice Hotel right by the Gayborhood. It's literally right in the center of it all. I would definitely stay here again. It was really nice, the front desk staff were great! I didn't like that you had to call the front desk to turn the temperature up or down. If you drive, you have to park across the street and pay a very ridiculous sum of money for two days. It honestly might have been cheaper for me...
With this hotel you are truly paying for the location. I loved my room, though it was small, it was very quaint. The staff is excellent and I would definitely stay again! Unfortunately I over-payed for my stay and as I was checking out the manager told me that and to call him next time, which really ticked me off, but it was not his fault I payed what I did. Also you DO have to pay for parking and...
