Philadelphia Marriott Downtown
Philadelphia, 1201 Market Street 🧭 Map
The hotel is in an excellent location. The staff was really friendly and helpful.
Overall, the experience at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown was a good one. Returning to Philly for a visit (having previously lived there for a decade), I booked the hotel due to a great deal online. I was most familiar with the building due to the FedEx inside (copies don't make themselves), but the rooms were nice enough, if a little dated. Considering the foot traffic the place gets, I was pleasantly...
Great location. The front desk is always busy but they make an effort to serve you with a smile. Room service is good and overall the staff are friendly. The renovated side closer to the convention centre leaves alot to be desired. I've stayed at this hotel in the past and was quite disappointed with these rooms. The other side of the hotel is more modern and the rooms are kept better. They said...
Love this hotel and the concierge lounge is amazing!! My only complaint is the air quality in my room. I was staying in the tower suites and every morning I would wake up to a layer of dust covering everything as the air settled overnight and the air was extremely dry. Definitely need to have some humidifier’s available for these rooms especially with the dry climate in Philly. It was so convenient...
Great location!!! I was on a quick trip overnight and didn't get to venture out. I loved the lobby with the bar in the middle. It's a great place to hang out and have a drink or two. The room was standard, nothing over the top. They need to update their tvs. I definitely recommend this hotel.
Stayed for one night from Saturday-Sunday. Check-in was quick and easy. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Pillows were comfortable. It was nice to have a bathtub instead of a stand-in shower and the room was reasonably spacious. Plus, it was in a convenient location, close to pretty much everything. Would definitely stay here again! The only downside is that the valet/parking is expensive. It’s about...

Philadelphia, 8800 Bartram Avenue 🧭 Map
Close to the airport with easy access off I-95 but generally a sketchy location with loud, fast drivers doing 100mph at times and clearly some crime issues. Little to no access to anything nearby except a Ruby Tuesday right next door. Paper thin walls, bathroom door missing a screw, small TV, and easily the worst continental breakfast I've seen since COVID shutdowns. Room was reasonably clean and spacious...
The rooms were clean. The parking was nice. Location was good. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good.
Nice staff. Good room. A little noisey being close to hiway. Very convenient to airport. Good prices!
Clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. That's why I always choose the Marriott brand. Right off I-95, it's convenient to all Philly points of interest. We had two queen beds and a mini fridge. New Years holiday price of $110, including breakfast. I liked that the sink was in the bathroom rather than out in the room. I like self park lot and the kids always want a pool. The breakfast wasn...
This is was a great hotel. Very low-key. Also the breakfast was delicious. The pool was clean and great to swim in. Would come again. ??
Perfectly adequate, but that's what you expect from a Fairfield. They didn't have water bottles again for purchase, which is odd, but no big deal. Not many food options nearby but there is something across the street. It's a mighty ok place.

My first time visiting this hotel was an amazing experience. The scenery was beautiful, and I took full advantage of the amenities such as the gym with a fantastic sauna. The breakfast was a great experience supported by a sweet staff member named Gigi. The digital/electronically experience could be updated within the rooms but none the less I slept like a baby in the comfy bed. I definitely would...
Wife there for conference. Room was fine and bed comfortable. The restaurant downstairs had excellent breakfast but dinners were, for us, a bit pricey. Easy walk to Reading Terminal Market and many restaurants. Staff was helpful and friendly and valet parking helps to ease the check in and out.
Truly 5 stars! The staff here is great, everyone is kind and professional. The rooms are kept clean and are very comfortable. They have an awesome spa and fitness center, and they even have a hair salon. The elevators are a bit confusing at first, but definitely check out the top floor because this hotel has the best view of Philadelphia you can get!
Booked this hotel last minute. Needed a walk-in shower for elderly relative, restaurant inside the hotel, valet hotel parking and close location to Thomas Jefferson Hospital. Well I was very impressed with how clean and modern the room was with amazing city views! The hotel restaurant had a unique yet pricey menu for dinner, definitely not for a picky eater. However, the food was delicious as I enjoyed...
Went for a wedding. Staff were wonderful. Lobby and elevator lobbies on each floor were dark and dismal, and don't try to get a working iron. But it was conveniently located by historical areas and having the Market across the street was a great plus. The rooms were clean and neat and comfortable. All together, we were satisfied with the hotel.
Staying at Loews was a great experience. Rooms were clean, spacious and with a great modern style. The view from the 33rd floor was the best and I used their lounge to meditate at night. Breathtaking views and great staff. Only thing I was a bit disappointed was the bathrooms in the first floor were locked and were only open for people with the cards for the hotel. Meaning when I was at the restaurant...

Awesome staff! Clean, spacious rooms, centrally located. Breakfast always served with a smile! Vivian, the manager was amazing! Beautiful views of the city.
We came to stay at the Notary hotel in downtown Philadelphia during our first visit to the city. We arrived around 8 AM for check-in, and we were surprised as to how quickly the front desk staff were able to accommodate us. Tiara (front desk staff) was very professional and friendly and as a Marriott titanium member, we were able to receive a complimentary suite upgrade during a 8 AM check in on a...
We arrived to a warm and friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The room was clean and ready for us. We stayed 5 nights and explored the city. We ate at the restaurant downstairs and it was good. The service was great everywhere in the hotel. We did not order room service so I can’t tell you about it. I can tell you that the hotel staff went above and beyond when I did leave something behind...
A decent hotel. It’s nice to be in a historic building. But the hotel seems to be still lacking staff a couple months into the second half of 2022. A couple examples: 1. housekeeping services are not provided daily and you have to request one day earlier. The worse part is nobody would tell you this until you asked about housekeeping. 2. They always only had one person working at the front desk, even...
We had the absolute best stay at the Notary Hotel in Center City Philly! The front desk let us check in a bit early to drop our bags off and the room was clean and modern! They even heard we were having a girls day and brought up robes, slippers, and treats for our spa night as a surprise! Breakfast was also delicious downstairs the next morning. Such an awesome location for sightseeing and spending...
My family and stayed one night for a wedding. When I arrived with my wife and young daughter, it was brutally hot. Check-in was originally 4pm, so we requested a 3:45 check-in so we would have enough time to get to our room and change before a shuttle arrived at 4:30. We checked in via the mobile app and thought we would be given the key quickly so we could be on our way. Nope. I understand the staff...

Iconic old bank converted to a great lobby. In the night this converts into a lively bar space. Location of the hotel is great and within walkable distance to all the historic places. Rooms are big and comfortable.
This hotel did not feel like a true Ritz Carlton property. The building is gorgeous. But the hotel is in need of a renovation. There is no real restaurant…tables are set off to the side of the lobby separated by a curtain. The wait for the elevators was horrendous…sometimes as much as 15 minutes. And the room was uneventful. We might as well have been in a mid-range hotel. If you are looking for luxury...
The service we received all weekend was impeccable. Michael the bell man was so warm, kind, inviting and professional. He was so wonderful during the duration of our stay and made sure we were well taken care of each day. He was great from the beginning of our stay through the end when we requested him specifically to help send us off. He went above and beyond for us and made our experience better...
Stayed here while in the city for courses. Wanted to stay somewhere comfortable, clean and safe. The hotel was fantastic and located very conveniently for us. The hotel coffee spot and bar for after dinner drinks hit the spot and the staff were all super helpful and helped us make reservations as needed. Will highly recommend for others looking for a good safe hotel to stay at in Philly.
Beautiful hotel. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Incredible views from the window of my room: the Pittsburgh clock tower—the tallest Masonry structure (582 feet) without a steel frame. The lobby is stunning. The staff of courteous and accommodating. One improvement that can be made is to the breakfast menu. The cooking is a little bit bland.
If anyone is looking for great deals on hotels go to HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around... This was our second time staying here, with both times using the club level certificates. There was not a single thing that could have been improved on for our stay. The first room we got had something electrical sticking out of the wall, an outlet cover missing, and the rug was all messed up. They quickly got us into a suite and gave us two complimentary breakfast vouchers (usually $21/person) So I can’t complain about their service. Their breakfast was pretty good, but what really made my experience at this whole hotel was the service of Donna in the breakfast...
During this visit I was at the Sheraton attending conference session. The conference was primarily located at the Convention Center. The Sheraton is a great venue but the two places are about 10 minutes walking distance from each other. Driving takes just as long if not longer. The Sheraton has great spaces for events of all sizes. The higher rooms have great views (a friend was staying here). The...
Lucky to get a last minute room for the Eagle's parade! The concierge (Mary?)was super super professional and happy to help with anything, such as driving directions and dinner reservations. The lobby was filled with families in town for the celebration, so it was a party atmosphere, and everybody was in a good mood, despite the long check-in lines. Our membership allowed us to have a very quick check...
We had an incredible experience at this hotel. Even though we arrived extremely early, our room was ready on the 24th floor with an outstanding view. We cannot choose one staff member over another because everyone was friendly an courteous. This hotel is located within walking distance of many attractions. The Starbucks cafe is a plus!
Location kinda sucks because it's close to highway and construction but nice staff and clean rooms.
Was skeptical after some reviews but had a nice stay. Room was clean and comfy. Halls are kinda dark. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location good. Rooms need fridge & safe being you are in city. Parking is pricey but convenient. Food & bar were good. Coffee morning lady super nice! Overall decent stay.

Location is great! I reserved through a 3 party so the room choice was definitely anyone’s guess, but David was so accommodating. I have a really early day tomorrow as I’m starting a new role and wanted a quieter space. The front desk was very helpful in changing rooms quickly for me to get a good nights rest. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the city.
Location couldn’t have been better! You are within walking distance to everything. The rooms are slightly dated (carpet was weathered and our bathroom mirror had cracks around it). The room was clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was very kind. The AC was struggling. We kept it on the entire time we were there and the temp in the room was uncomfortably warm. Bathroom products were also empty upon check...
Location was great! You’re within walking distance of everything. The only con is we were staying there at the same time a wedding was going on. A guest said over 200 people were staying there. The hotel has 4 elevators but only had one working. Elevators were packed so you had to go back to your room and wait for the party to leave. There were no signs stating you couldn’t use the stairs to get out...
Didn't get to enjoy the pool since it was closed for the season (stayed in October), that would've made my visit! The room was nice, we had a corner, so we had a little view down the road instead of just an airshaft. My husband and I arrived at the hotel without a reservation, and decided last minute to try and get a room there. We were met at the front desk by Byron and he was just amazing!!!! What a perfect example of 5-star-customer service!! Even when he had to decline some of our requests, he made sure to offer an alternative. It was never "sorry, no, can't do that", it was "...but here is what I CAN do.....
Thought the hotel was great, convenient being attached to the airport terminal. I would have liked to see a little easier to access info on what the walking distances to each terminal were. I think you can access all the terminals on foot, A& B are directly connected but C&D it’s not clear if you can walk it or do you need the shuttle. The shuttle was fine to get us to D but if you have to take the...
So I paid for my stay with points. The price/point tag was almost$ 500 a night. I saw online that it was possible to book in the 360 $ range. This is crazy money. Alright the location is sweet, walk on a sky ridge to Terminal B and the rental car drop offs are across the streets. BUT this place needs some TLC. It was very busy, and maybe they can't fit maintenance into the schedule. For ~400$ a night...
I stay at PHL Marriott whenever I have to catch an early morning flight. It’s attached to the airport and just a short walk to the terminal. The hotel staff are exceptionally kind and professional. Great view from my room (view in photo), easy parking, felt very clean and spacious inside the room. So much amazing food within walking distance. Loved the bottled water for free in the lobby. Close to the center and some of the best restaurants. Although clearly not a new hotel the rooms are good and have a nice view over the city. A plus is the swimming pool. A little card in the room notifies that towels are available at the pool. That's a sign of good care. Breakfast was good. Eggs, sausage and pancakes etc. Very very friendly staff. Also in the breakfast room!
I normally don’t rate or write reviews, but I need to share my experience at this hotel. The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Every single person said good morning and hello when we saw them in the hall. The room was clean with up to date decor. There was a nice pool, although we didn’t get a chance to swim. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was good and had a nice variety. The pool is a bit small and closes about 10 minutes earlier than the advertised “open til 9” but was still nice and refreshing when it was open. This is one of the best managed holiday inn I have stayed at. Location is perfect right in the heart of downtown sightseeing and bars, with a liquor convenience store right across the street. The hotel was very nice. The Agent at the desk, was very friendly and put us in a room with a view. The area around the hotel had everything we needed and also conveniently located off the highway. The pool was Indoors and heated, and next to the fitness center. They also had a sauna which was a plus. The hotel gave us waters upon our arrival. I had no complaints. Will be visiting again!
So the only reason 4 stars, is parking was a bit of a drag, definitely confusing at first. However, as for everything else, it is deserving of a good rating! Lobby is nice and pretty, with a restaurant right to the right as you walk in (has a sit-at bar and table service). There is a little shop inside for you to get your stuff. We went there for a formal party in one of the ballrooms and stayed overnight. The room was nice and looked very regal but the dance floor didn't appear to be totally secured and moved a little as you danced on it. This hotel is wonderfully located. The beds were comfortable, rooms are big and clean. Breakfast staff were nice.
The Sofitel is a very nice hotel that's a short walk from Rittenhouse Square and 30th Street Station. Our room had a nice view of other buildings, and we really enjoyed the breakfast. For family travel, I'd note that their rooms with 2 beds have full beds rather than queen size, and the bathroom panels do not have locks. The room sizes are pretty spacious and the beds are comfortable.

Nice hotel in a great tourist location. Lots of things to do and places to eat. We enjoyed the happy hour and views from our room. It’s a shame the hotel bar and restaurant were closed on Sundays, some basic features of a nicer hotel. Location perfect for access to local colleges and city. Easy to get to. Restaurant staff and valet service - both excellent. Rooms were ok. Beds seemed smaller than your typical double. Cleanliness was also questionable- upon getting to the room - dirty/used towels remained in a hamper under the sink, and the end table and desk were pretty dusty.

The room was very clean and the bathroom was nice and equipped to meet my needs as a disabled person. I would stay there again and will recommend it to my friends.
Great service from the valets "louis" goes above and beyond. Hes the reason i gave four stars instead of three. Our room however had the faint smell of fish i let the front desk know, they offered to move us but we had already unpacked everything so we CHOSE to stay there my wife had some citrus spray that helped. Restaurants in the hotel were so overpriced it was sad.
Perfect location. Adjacent to the bookstore, across the road from Huntsman Hall, two blocks down from Hill. Rooms were comfortable, though bathroom door was hard to slide shut at times for some reason. Appreciated the Crabtree & Evelyn toiletry (my favourite). Concierge & valet staff were very hospitable and helpful. Breakfast a la carte at University Club was one of the best I’ve had in a while...
Great hotel, lived up to expectations. Clean, lots of space, kind staff. Room service meals could be better, but within what you would expect at a hotel like this. I will come back.

they were opening the main door all the time breakfast very bad ( only English breakfast )
We stayed for two nights in August just to get away. Everything was amazing for us and our dog. The room, bed, and bathroom were wonderful. I only wish the room had a microwave and that they had actual room service, though we managed just fine placing pick up orders at the hotel restaurant.
Spent the weekend for our anniversary. Told them in advance we were celebrating and when we checked in there was a bottle of wine and a plate of chocolate covered strawberries waiting. The room was a decent size with a nice layout, and the jetted bathtub was large enough we could both sit comfortably while we soaked. Everyone I interacted with was lovely and kind. We ordered room service for lunch...
I’m so pleased we stayed here! Great location to everything. Lobby is a bit on smaller end, but that’s typical for hotels in big cities. Front staff are amazing! Thank you, kudos to Kevin! Rooms are also on smaller end, but design of the room is so well executed, great attention to details. I fell relieved when I didn’t have to deal with dirty rooms. This place is amazing and I definitely recommend...
Hotel was phenomenal! We had an upgraded room - dual showers were amazing. The restaurant was great: food, service, and ambiance. The only nightmare was parking. The street is ridiculously busy and we were lucky enough to time our ins/ours perfectly. The valet staff was friendly and helpful, so this is not to their fault. I will gladly return again in the future.
The Kimpton was a great hotel staff. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location within walking distance to most Philly sites. The architecture of the hotel is amazing and worth going just to see an amazingly well kept old building. Managers reception was a really enjoyable added touch.
In the middle of Center City, close to fabulous restaurants (may I recommend Ancient Spirits and Grille on Chestnut?), shopping, and Rittenhouse square. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and it was great. Very good omelet and the service was good too. Very comfortable bed. Room was warm and cozy Every employee we encountered was friendly and helpful.

This is easily my favorite hotel in the city. Whenever my parents or my grandmother comes to town, they always stay here and leave very well-rested. Apparently the breakfast is quite delicious as well. And given the location, the price is very reasonable as well.
Clean rooms. Some have kitchenettes, which is great for folks who prefer to make light meals and snacks to make their stay even more comfortable. Great rate for the location. Lots of restaurants and shopping within walking distance.
The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff is professional and nice. Overall great stay! Perfect location within walking distance of many stores, parking, and restaurants. Great place to stay in the heart of Philadelphia!
My wife and I stayed there 2 years ago and we will be going back next month. Yes the rooms are small, but who cares when you are barely there. We were celebrating our 1st anniversary and had a great time!!! The location was freaking awesome...we walked everywhere and a drugstore was literally right next door. Its a prime location for exploring the city, the staff was awesome, rooms clean...just a great...
There's no better location. The hotel is on a commercial street, with plenty of stores, bars and restaurants nearby, and a small shopping center right across the street. The historic center and old city are at walking distance, and so is the Rocky statue if you fancy that. The room was bright and comfortable, with a coffee machine and nice bathing products. I also appreciated the complimentary tea...
Beautiful hotel with great views and charming service. It's in a great location downtown with plenty of things to do, and the desk always has helpful options on where to eat. I heard the dining room also serves food. They are also very accommodating with service/ emotional support animals, and one of the workers always was sure to play with my sister's service dog while we were there. They also have...

My husband and i stayed in one of the skyline suites. It was a very nice room and although we didn’t have a microwave in our room, the decor and view from the top floor was nothing short of amazing!!! We had 24hr access to the lounge which was also amazing the view was just breathtaking (no microwave in there to heat our food up though). My husband went to their gym, he said the equipment was excellent...
This hotel rooms were pretty nice and had a reasonable price per night. The kitchens were very helpful and the beds were comfortable; you can also control the temperature of the room. Also, downstairs by the lobby of the hotel there is the Con Murphy’s Irish pub which has some great food; flatbreads and burgers and sandwiches and beers. We went there a couple times during our stay, definitely recommended
My husband and I had our second stay at the Windsor. We just love the spacious rooms and balconies. This weekend was unseasonably warm and their air did not work. The room was stifling. When I called to ask for help I was not satisfied with her answer. I proceeded to not be so nice (not my proudest moment) I was hot and agitated. The young lady Sam was able to make it right and then some. Things happen...
First, there was no room service for the entire stay. No heater inside of the bathroom, and the A/C unit did not produce any heat when I switched it to Good morning, overall the trip was awesome. Views were very nice and the outside atmosphere was amazing. Everything was right at our fingertips for the most part. There were a few things wrong with the room. Here is a list of them. Room service, there...
Had an amazing stay this weekend! The desk staff are awesome and the hotel is in an amazing location. Not sure why some of the reviews complain about street noise, any hotel in the downtown area will have that issue. The restaurants next door are phenomenal. The hotel provides very high quality showering products and a nice coffee bar in the morning. The windows in the rooms also have a lovely view...
The room I was in was very comfortabl with an amazing view of the city. The two restaurants downstairs we're both great as well. If I have an opportunity to stay here again I will. The walk to the convention center was also brief.

Very nice hotel! Convenient and clean!! Rooms were big and accommodating, the size of the TVs were awesome. The staff was amazing. Breakfast was fresh and filling. Was a little upset that I had to leave the hotel in the early morning hours due to an emergency, I totally understand safety first, but it was really cold. I would definitely return.
Loved this hotel. I only stay in Hilton properties. The size of the suites are very large and spacious! Yes the bathrooms are a little small and the tubs could use some TLC however they are clean. The interiors of the bedrooms and living space were in very good shape and new and maintained. The lobby area was nice and maintained as well. Could use a newer coffee machine in the bedrooms. Otherwise no...
The room itself was huge and I was surprised how quiet it was from the other people in the hotel. I didn’t even really hear another shower running. The traffic outside was louder but it could be that I was facing the city. The bathrooms need an update and the showers are not meant for tall people. Also the elevators are small, have a weird system to request it and they take forever! Great managers...
When I first entered into my room, I think it was a bit dark, after a day staying there, I got used to it and started to enjoy staying there. The room was very spacious, we are a family of 4 and we had more than enough space to mess around and chill out in the room. The air conditioning is cool enough, the bedroom is spacious and comfortable. I really like the mirror outside the bathroom, it gave...
The rooms were beautiful and very clean. They were also spacious! When we go there we were able to check in early and the concierge upgraded us to a city view room at no extra charge! They had a nice happy hour for all guests and drinks during the happy hour were free. The only issue with the hotel is the elevator. It took about 15-20 minutes every time you had to take the elevator to get to your room...
My family recently stayed at this hotel and we were all extremely pleased with how courteous and helpful everyone was. From our check in experience with Sharon to our exit with the bell station. Absolutely wonderful! The rooms were immaculate and fresh smelling. The only slight inconvenience were the elevators which were being refurbished. We were warned of this in advance of our reservation so no...
