The Prince in Melbourne

The location wasn't bad and the facilities weren't that great, but it wasn't a big problem.
The room size is suitable for a single person, but it is a bit small for two people.

Great venue for the wedding reception.
Food was excellent. Service was very good.
Rooms were good.....Roomy.. Though could have had a chest of drawers.... And a bigger tv that I could cast to.
Also the room we had had a raised wooden platform for the bed area.... Could be a bit of a hazard if you needed to get up in the middle of the night.... Bit if a trip hazard.

Dined in the intimate back bar which was perfect for us seeking a quiet space to converse. The main dining/bar area had bar access and screens to watch the footy and a full menu which we were also able to order from in the back room. The wine selection must be one of the best in the country. Seriously. The Somme was accommodating and helpful and the staff attentive and engaging but unobtrusive. Exactly what we were after with added penache.

Superior room with balconies are delightful, with gorgeous views of the bay, distant CBD and Fitzroy Street. The only issue is lack of soundproofing with constant late night noise, particularly in the ‘inner’ rooms that don’t face out onto the street. Pay extra for a Superior room facing towards Fitzroy Street. Happy, friendly staff and decent prices. Unbeatable location unless you need to be in the centre of the city or clear across on the other side of town.

Nice stay! The staff were friendly, helpful, & welcoming. We stayed in the boutique room, it was smaller than expected and we were disappointed that the pool area was not open during the autumn months. The room could do with a deep clean but nonetheless we had a good experience & would recommend!

We had our wedding and wedding recovery at The Prince last week. It was honestly perfect, and we wouldn't have changed a thing! The entire team at The Prince, from the events planning team, on the day team and the bar staff at our recovery were all absolutely amazing, so kind and professional, and so helpful.
We were hindered a little by rain before our ceremony but the quick thinking team alongside our stylist had everything moved undercover and it was still perfect. Nothing was a problem to the team, and everyone was clearly there to make sure that we and our guests had a wonderful time!
Let's talk food and wine... UNREAL. We were lucky to have a beautiful tasting of the entire wedding menu which was seriously delicious, and then on the night we had so many guests absolutely raving about the food.
We also stayed at the hotel for two nights which was perfect. Very comfortable rooms with gorgeous facilities, it really was the best way to kick off married life!
Honestly, if you're looking for a chic inner-city venue to have your wedding or special event, look no further than The Prince!

Had our wedding reception at the Prince. The venue is at the atrium full of light, big glazing wall, beautiful indoor plants and table set up. The service is top tier, the event team Ella is very responsive, Tara and Hannah served us during the reception night they are amazing! Had a wonderful night, highly recommended.
