Quest St Kilda Bayside

I was looking forward to staying here for a night, but unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. After a tragic incident at the Palais Theatre, where a death occurred, we were unable to stay at the hotel due to the emotional toll of what we witnessed. While I understand that the events at the theatre were not the hotel's fault, we also did not use the room and requested a refund or credit for the night. However, the hotel refused and showed no empathy toward our situation.

Our engagement celebration, which we were hoping to enjoy, was completely ruined. On top of that, we encountered parking issues (no car parks available for the size of our car) and were disappointed by the quality of the "breakfast" (a overpriced box of cereal and juice). Given all of these factors, we will not be returning to Quest in the future!

Flew one of our workers down from Sydney to stay here,
Staff had 0 communication skills.

Received a call at 9pm when checking in telling me the room hadn’t been paid for even tho it was paid through Expedia.

Would not let our worker in the room unless a manual payment was put through on the spot.
Was embarrassing for us as a company and for our worker.

Received a call the next morning saying they will refund the extra payment made as they made a mistake and the room was paid for.

Horrible customer service never staying there again.

I recently stayed at Quest Bayside melbourne and had a very disappointing experience regarding a lost wallet. After checking out, I realized I had forgotten my wallet on the side table in my room. I immediately called the hotel, and they insisted that it wasn't there.

To prove my case, I even sent them a video clip showing my wallet clearly on the side table before I checked out. After some back and forth, they finally agreed to return it to me. However, when I sent someone to collect it today, they claimed it wasn't there again!

This lack of accountability and communication is unacceptable. I can't believe I have to go through this hassle for something that should have been handled properly. I would not recommend this hotel based on my frustrating experience.
