I had a great stay at this hotel! The beach is absolutely beautiful and just a few steps away from the pool, which is very convenient. The food was delicious and varied — there was always something new to try, and everything was fresh and well-prepared. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The drinks at the bar were also very good.

The hotel is located in a quiet and peaceful area, making it perfect for families with children or older guests looking to relax.

As for the downsides, the entertainment was quite poor — in fact, there was hardly any animation at all. Also, the bus connection to larger cities wasn't great, so getting around without a car can be a bit tricky.

Overall, though, it’s a lovely place to unwind and enjoy the sun and sea.

After going to bulgaria 5 times before for a holiday we fancied a different location .
The hotel is great with the location directly opposite the beach you can get Wi-Fi on the beach from the hotel as long as you are nearer to the hotel .On the last day before we left free beach Wi-Fi became available which was provided by the outdoor media grroup.
Back to the hotel we where on the 2nd floor with a sea view 3 of us where sharing the room ,which was very spacious & the sofa bed had a mattress topper which made it more comfortable .
Three wardrobe spaces with plenty of room for our clothes the room was cleaned regularly & the sheets where changed regularly or upon request .We had issues with our wi-fi which the hotel where activley working with engineers to resolve the problem ,they ended up putting new cabling in .The hotel offered to move us to a few different rooms but we where happy to stay in the room as we liked the view and the location .
The staff where very welocming & engaging & looked like they where enjoying themselves at there work which made is feel wanted & liked by the staff .
The hotel manager was great with our few issues that we had and was very engaging with us and listened attentevley to our problems .
The food was good the main restaraunt is on the first floor good selection of food on all sittings there is a Bulgarian themed restaraunt in block c which can be booked twice a week we went 3 times over our 2 week holiday the food was very nice and made a change .The snack bar on the ground floor was also good the Pizzas at both locations where great .
There are activities prvided by the hotel with the entertainment team during the day & there is a children show nightly then an adult show after the childrens theme event finishes thereare no activites on a Snday they get the day off .
Overall great hotel & would definatley stay there again

The rooms were spacious and cleaned regularly. The location was great right next to the beach. The hotel staff were friendly but the English of some staff was exceptionally poor. Be carefull if you are diabetic as I was given full coke instead of diet coke due to thevlangauge barrier. We had issues with no water one night at all which was dire and no internet in the room for a week. Both issues were rectified. The food could have been a little less repetitive It was a weekly rolling menu so you had the same food the following week. There was a Bulgarian food in a different restaurant which was nice.We went twice to that but the food was virtually the same both times,However we enjoyed the food.I would go back again. The beach was fabulous

Great view, clean hotel, but evenings lacked atmosphere
We booked a superior sea view room, and it was exactly as described—beautiful view and very comfortable. The hotel is spotless, and the food and drinks were good for an all-inclusive stay.

Staff were friendly, though not always helpful. Finding our room was confusing, and we had to rely on a kind cleaning lady to show us the way. Also, we tried to play billiards, but the table only takes 3 lev in coins. Reception couldn’t help and directed us to a nearby store, which refused to give change unless we made a purchase. A small issue, but frustrating nonetheless.

In terms of entertainment, there’s a lot for children, but very little for adults. One evening there was a singer for about an hour, which was pleasant—but that was it. I really missed having some live music or atmosphere in the evenings.

What really bothered me was how they turn on all the bright lights immediately after the kids’ entertainment. It completely ruins the cozy vibe—what was a relaxing bar area suddenly feels like a brightly lit factory hall, even though the bar remains open.

As for Obzor itself, we visited in June and found the town pretty quiet. Many places were still closed or just getting ready for the season.

The hotel is in a great location, adjacent parks in the surroundings, the sea is gently shelving and not deep, very clean, ideal for a visit with children. Hotel staff very nice, friendly, proactive, a great asset of the hotel. Animation team, great, , did a lot of work, only the hotel should give better info about it. ( kuds disco)On arrival we got little gifts for the kids, which was a nice surprise. Food for a 3* hotel good, everyone can choose, I was pleasantly surprised. (We had 9 days allinclusive) What they would like to improve are the mattresses and pillows, they are not bad, but after a few days my back started to hurt. I would also change the procedure for paying for drinks( you can't pay by card, you have to sign a paper and then pay at the reception. Card payment would make everything easier and save a lot of paperwork)it would also be nice to pay with euros, or have a coin changer( for children's games). I would love to come back here again

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Wee warning, wet floor in some rooms can be slippy, be careful 🧐. Enjoyed our stay and would return. Food nice always something to enjoy 😉. Thanks for a lovely holiday x

The biggest issue with this hotel is the same as the sister hotel Alua Bay where we stayed last year. These hotels are a smokers paradise, smoke over your kinds, smoke over your friends and fellow guests. I have been to Bulgaria on 20 occasions and these are the only 2 hotels that don’t have a designated area for smokers, what I was told by the Jet2 rep was that they would lose customers if people weren’t able to smoke anywhere and everywhere? Also, they don’t care about the welfare of the cats etc going around the hotel, they should realise people are animal lovers and don’t want to see poor animals with injuries.
We asked for a high floor with quiet location which was met but we had 4 flights of steps to get there, there are no lifts here so unsuitable for people with mobility issues. The room was okay, comfortable enough, has a kettle but with tea only, no point in trying to drink on balcony as soon as you moved the table would get bumped as the balcony was so small. Room cleaned every day along with towel changes.
The hotel restaurant was too small for the amount of guests, there were many times I missed out on main meals as the queue was so long, one choice of soup only, no alternative for vegetarians, I would say you wont go hungry but if you want to sample everything then you have to time the best chance to, early or later. Snacks were good although bowls of mouldy fruit on offer. There is another restaurant that can be booked a few days of the week but its just the same as the buffet upstairs, you need to get up for your own food so it’s a bit pointless. The entertainment is pretty poor, bingo, karaoke many times of the week, the outside entertainment that was brought in was sometimes good. The lights went up after the entertainment which usually only lasted 30 minutes, they could do with having speakers on the restaurant terrace to play some music outside rather than inside. The entertainment team were 3, then 2 and then 1, there wasn’t many activities to take part in and I had to ask them to change the music as the same songs played over and over and over, thankfully they did and this was appreciated.
Drinks were good, I can honestly say that most of the staff were a pleasure, always polite and professional, only exception was a girl on reception, many have complained about her and her manageress, we tried to get hold of a vet to help a little kitten but they claimed there was no vet in Obzor but really they were unwilling and uninterested in helping as we found a vet 2 minutes up the road.
The pool area was fine, towel guy was such a help and always smiling, Valo the pool barman is an asset to the hotel, Georgi the pool guy was polite and friendly also.
The area outside the hotel is nice for walks and there are some beach bars, other bars on the square, shops, coffee shops, take aways and restaurants dotted about. There is a takeaway on the street where carrefour is, they do the best kebabs, busy at all times of the day.
We would return as we met so many lovely people and the staff all nice, beach was lovely but you pay for sunbeds, none provided by hotel.

Our expectations meet! Very good price for family vacation. Reservation without advance payment. Excellent placement on the sea proximity. Pool next to the beach, well maintain with clean sunbeds and towels. Very friendly perssonel. Average food quality, but we enjoyed salads and soups, kids loved chips and pizza. Drinks really poor: we expected this and brought our drinks. Parking is an incovenient, but we managed. If you add the cost of public parking still overall price is ok.

Really nice friendly hotel, food was all really good quality and flavour but restaurant is a little small and can get a bit crowded around the food service area.
The hotel location is great for a relaxing holiday, sun beds around the pool are plentiful and we never had a problem getting a spot at any time of the day. (sun beds on the beach need to be paid for as beach is not part of hotel) but if you want lots to do then you need to travel to sunny beach... And the journey isnt a pleasant one due to the very long winding road and crazy drivers.
One thing to note is hotel does not have any lifts so people with mobility issues will definitely need to be on ground floor but the restaurant is on the first floor which could cause a problem

What can I say about Alua Sun Helios Beach... in a word perfect!
We arrived in the early hours of Friday morning as our flight had been delayed but this didn't matter; the receptionist was lovely checked us in, showed us to our room and where the restaurant was which even though it was almost 2am they had prepared plates of bread, ham, cheese and jams so we could still eat and get fresh drinks.
The rooms were lovely, very spacious with 2 single beds, a sofa, dressing table, and tv (and most importantly air-con!). Our bathroom was great - it was a wet room (not all rooms are we just happened to have one) which meant there was plenty of space to shower and get ready after a long day in the pool or at the beach. Even though we were on the ground floor we still got a balcony which was lovely to sit out on and watch people having fun in the pool, listen to music and see the sea.
The pool itself was massive and so well kept. This meant that we didn't feel as though we were in people's way or they were in ours and we could have plenty of room to do our own thing in the pool whilst others did their. Complete with a swim up bar so you didn't even need to get out to have a drink! There were always sun beds available even by the middle of the afternoon so there was never a struggle for somewhere to put our things or lay down and relax. You could also get pool/beach towels fresh to borrow everyday.
Without having to walk any distance at all, right outside the hotel is the beach which was absolutely beautiful - the water was so warm, clear and clean and the sand was soft.
The food for breakfast, lunch and dinner were delicious. It was a wonderful buffet spread for each and although we did have to queue up for a short amount of time it was worth it. Breakfast was standard bacon, sausages, eggs of all varieties as well as meats and cheeses in addition to sweet things. Lunch and dinner were different each day of the week with a variety of meat, vegetables, pastas, pizzas, salads and more always on offer. The snack bar for lunch was great as it offered the same selection as the restaurant but without having to get completely dry and dressed from being in the pool and sitting on the balcony watching the people on the beach was a wondeful way to spend lunch time. The staff in the restaurant were so lovely as were the bar staff. The bar was fantastic and they were more than happy to make any drink you asked for even if it wasn't on the menu. Everyone was just so kind and friendly.
The final and most important thing that I must mention is the animation team... Vladi, Elvin, Emil and Radi were absolutely incredible! Every morning (except Sunday their day off) first thing in the morning was aqua gym in the pool which we loved, then throughout the day they all ran entertainment games such as darts, 'fanta, cola, sprite', shuffle board, waterpolo (I have never played so much waterpolo at a hotel; it was always kept calm but still fun!) and more as well as running a kids club with different activities indoors such as painting t-shirts, pirate day, games and more. In the evening they then ran incredible entertainment. Every night for the two weeks that we were there was different. When I booked the holiday I was apprehensive about the entertainment being indoors but that made it better - the bar right there, plenty of tables and chairs and air-con to keep you cool - there was no need for me to worry. Vladi, Elvin, Emil and Radi put on brilliant and hilarious performances of their own in crazy shows, as well as talented bollywood dancing. They hosted two parties around the pool whilst we were there (the only entertainment outside but it worked so well) which included a live band one night and a live singer another night. Other entertainment included dancing, quizzes, a variety show, bingo and karaoke. Every single piece of entertainment run by the animation team throughout the day and night was absolutely perfect and made for an amazing holiday!
I would 110% recommend Alua Sun Helios Beach to any family looking for a fun and relaxed holiday.
