I had a horror story experience here. Check out and stay somewhere else. The first floor rooms are run down. Blood on sheets from previous guests. My room door didnt lock.

I had my wedding in the Hotel and was provided two halls, one for the ceremony and the other for reception; also I had to make reservation in the hotel for family and friend that were flying from other province to attend the wedding. The design and deco of the hotel halls blew my mind despite the pricing being really reasonable. The staff (esp. Sandra, Joan and Rose) were really helpful in the organising and planning of the wedding, I could not thank them enough. Also, our family and friends that stayed in the hotel for two nights to attend the wedding were impressed with hotel and my wife & I shared similar view having spent our first night after being married in the hotel.

We just booked a king suite here for our anniversary and it was amazing.
The dated French colonial style they've maintained is absolutely awesome. This building has a lot of history but with renovations to keep the place from seeming old. Huge jacuzzi tub, fireplace, comfy clean bed, robes... I could go on. It was just really nice and a welcome change from the same basic hotel rooms you'd find at a Best Western or Sandman. This felt more like an experience. I now love older hotels. Very very cool. We will be back for sure.
Front desk ladies were also very kind, easy-going, and helpful.

Great staff! So friendly
The French lady who works at the bar down stairs is Absolutely amazing ....... I have worked in customer service for years and I was so impressed with her. I stayed twice and both times this lady was working her but off and still friendly !!!! She never slowed down and still always smiling and it was sooo busy. She handled it like a champ! She is the reason I came back to stay the second time and will continue too!! Can’t remember her name but she’s amazing :) Keep it up

Stayed in the Royal King room. Large well appointed room.
The king bedwas well used and needed to be changed out.
The bathroom is huge and has a Jacuzzi and a two person shower.
A quiet and relaxing weekend.

I cannot express in words how good I feel about making my decision to choose "Chateau-Louis" as the hotel to stay in while on my work trip to Edmonton. This is a family-run hotel and you actually feel like you're home. The Staff is so amazing right from the Front desk, Kitchen, and the Room cleaning team. Do not miss the amazing breakfast buffet and " Cheese mushroom Omlet on the menu. The Hotel is clean and Hygienic and the rooms are spacious. I had booked myself for 5 days but ended up staying 16 days. If you are in Edmonton and want to stay at a place with excellent service this is the hotel for you.

This is a review of the banquet halls. Been here a few times for conferences always a great experience. Food is delicious and parking is great. Staff are quite friendly and are so sweet to go above and beyond at times. Highly recommended for parties and banquets.

I didn't stay in the hotel, but we went for a birthday meal. It wasn't my birthday, but I have food allergies. I can't have dairy or gluten and so it's a concern to eat out.
I shouldn't have worried.
When we showed up, the waitress told us right away that they were aware of my allergies and that the chef would be coming out to discuss the buffet with us.
I was floored. The chef came out and went through each dish with me. They offered to make me certain items like gluten free waffles or mixed potatoes with cheese I can eat.
Absolutely amazing! The best part? I didn't get sick afterwards. So it was truly celiac friendly which is really hard to find.
The service and attention to detail was unbelievable. This is what a restaurant should be like. So impressed.

Sweet hotel. Not fancy and a little dated but very cozy, and nice service. Nice size room, good bed, great towels. Wifi works well everywhere. Very quiet. I appreciate the two sink areas so that two people can get ready at the same time. Restaurant has casual and tasty food. Came for business event and would stay here again for business.
