Accent Inns Victoria

Hotel is a little dated, but the rooms were spacious and clean.
I was travelling for work and put a credit card down for the room. Without my knowledge or consent, accent inns charged my personal credit card, with my colleagues room fee. They processed a return which is still pending, but the initial charge is already posted to my account.
This is a huge breach of trust, using my card for another room without my consent, and could have caused me serious problems if my credit limit was lower. This will continue to cause problems for me as the charge is posted to my card, but I am still waiting for the refund.

As for a hospitality business, their night staff seems like missing a basic empathy.

We used to live in this hotel, and the location is not too far away, so this year we decided to stay in the same location.

Everything is the same, except when my 6 years old son was taking a shower, and he tried to reach the body wash container by himself, that container fell off and the soap got into his right eye (There are 3 containers in total, and the other two are very steady). I quickly washed this little guy’s right eye, which turned red later. Then called the front desk, explained what happened, and wished the front desk can write down a record of what happened just in case.

What really surprised, or in other words, made me furious is, after I tried to explain what happened, here is what I got, ‘I don’t understand what you want, do you need a shampoo refill?’

No apologies, no one ever apologizes that due to their facility defect, a large container fell and the soap got into a little boy’s eye, not even today. After wait for 30 mins and 15 mins in-person talk, they finally wrote down the record that should be done at the very beginning, and the notes ended as 'They asked us to post a note'.

Guess we made it a too big deal. Guess they think a large container falling, and soap getting into a little guy's eye is not a big deal.

Very friendly, nice staff. Beds were comfortable. Basic necessities ok. But it's an old-style motel that really needs to be upgraded or better yet, rebuilt. We only stayed there cause pets were allowed and it was fairly reasonable, though for a bit more, we could had a nicer hotel (without the dog)
