Reviews
Pluses: the experience, live music, pool area, service, cleanliness, location with good parking, drinks
Minuses: quite expensive laundry (36 euros), cockroaches coming in from the outside in the summer, lack of queen bed rooms
I checked and no! Neither on Booking nor on their site is it in any way specified that the triples are only on the ground floor, overlooking the communal garden (accessible from outside!), indeed it says that they have a 'balcony'! And the photos and the room sizes are the same for both the doubles and the family rooms... In short, be very careful when you book. The fact that a room overlooks a communal outdoor area is definitely worth mentioning. Not to do so is a huge failing on the part of the hotel. It poses privacy and safety problems for guests, it prevents guests from leaving windows open to ventilate, it poses problems for those who are allergic or have a phobia to cats that regularly come to rest on the beds and chairs in front of the ground floor rooms.
Despite everything, it is a decent hotel, conveniently located close to the centre. Large and varied breakfast buffet. The food service staff is very friendly and attentive (unlike the guy serving at the reception when we had the inconvenience). We did not use the swimming pool but it seemed well maintained. The rooms inside are neat and comfortable (although they forgot to provide us with the bath mat several times and we had to use some towels...) .
Conclusion. It is a shame that such a well located hotel needs so many improvements and more investment by the management in upgrading services and training staff.
Unfortunately, there are no sun loungers available, but pool/beach towels can be obtained for a one-time deposit of €10. We also have to report that our room was not always cleaned. However, the hotel made an effort to address our complaint.
The location is excellent. Many places are easily accessible by public transportation.
Almost everything about this hotel is disappointing. I understand that budget hotels may not offer gourmet breakfasts, but how do you find such poor-quality vegetables in Cyprus during peak season? Unripe cucumbers and tomatoes in a sunny country? Just cross the road and buy fresh produce from the shop. Instead of offering multiple types of mediocre sausages, focus on providing one decent kind.
At the pool, despite the warnings about the absence of a lifeguard and the no-diving rule, crowds of screaming children constantly run and jump into the adult pool, splashing water everywhere. This is a safety hazard and an accident waiting to happen.
Beach towels are only available with a cash deposit? Why not include this in the room bill? It’s inconvenient for guests to return to their rooms in the heat just to fetch 10 euros. And do you really need to organize foam parties with low-brow Russian pop music like Artur Pirozhkov right under the guests' windows? There's an area between the buildings with no room windows where this could be done instead. It’s clear that the management hasn't cared about the hotel for a long time. Hiring a waiter is pointless if they spend their time flirting with the bartender in broken English instead of serving guests.
The only positive is the maid, a hardworking and pleasant girl who diligently does her job every day. Unfortunately, she is the exception and her efforts stand out against the otherwise poor service.
Great management and staff, clean pool and lovely bed and breakfast.
Really enjoyed our stay as always.
Highly recommend staying here 😊
Also - fantastic views.
But we met army of ants in our room near bathroom:).
The door of the room is not insulated, so the music that goes on until dawn and the shouting of the bar guests is disturbing. Of course, only if you don't want to drink there until dawn.
