It's more of a student hostel turned to a dorm, just with painted walls. No attached bath, conjugated rooms no proper air circulation (very big issue during summers), No proper lockers available, unclean floor premises. Kitchen and dining area is available which is enough. A bit far from main city where we have to pick a 20-30min ride in Public transport. It's very pricey for these facilities in...

I must admit when I saw the outside I was worried about what I was going to find inside. But the management are very friendly, the beds are in a much better condition than most hostels I have been in. They go out of their way for their guests. You definitely get what you pay for. It is a hostel, and not a hotel. But I've been in several budget hostels, and this one is really not bad. I did get several...

Clean, smooth, excellent experience! The building is beautiful, and the surrounding neighborhood is so much fun and easy to navigate. I stayed in a private room and it was large, sunny, and clean with a good shower with hot water. The wifi is fast and the courtyard/porch area is very cute. I didn't eat the breakfast but it looked good. Check in and check out was easy, and the free luggage storage was...
Always a good address, everything is just right. Bravo, keep it up! The breakfast is excellent, the atmosphere pleasant and the people at reception are very accommodating! The rooms are also of a good standard. The location couldn't be better.
A good place to stay alone. There was a lobby on the first floor, so it was nice to use the internet and work with my laptop open. Breakfast is also good, European style.
Very good Unexpected Very hospitable Perfect for a good stay Very thoughtful
Nice clean hostel in an ideal location but this review is dedicated to the Pfefferbett staff member Lisa. Her kindness and generosity made my trip. All staff are so welcoming but Lisa went the extra mile. Thank you. Will be recommending this hostel to fellow travellers.
Slept in a 6-bed dorm with my son (11) and daughter (17). Room rather small but was fine for 2 nights. Quiet enough (thanks to my mates), away from the street, nice view into the gardens. Superb breakfast for vegetarians and vegans with a lot of homemade bread spreads, dips and mueslis. Fresh fruits, bit of fresh veggies. Location super. Atmosphere in the hostel super friendly and humurous. Will definitely...

This hostel is best described as functional. It’s not a luxurious stay, but it meets basic needs. However, the staff were noticeably unfriendly—we weren’t greeted even once when passing reception. The hallways had a strong sour smell and were painted in an overwhelming color. The beds were basic but clean. One major issue was the poor sound insulation; we could clearly hear conversations from the...
Great value, good sociable space. Needs more facilities: washing machine, secure luggage storage, and more power sockets. 2x power sockets in a dorm with 14 beds is not enough. Sunflower Hostel in East Berlin offer all of these.
Metropol Hostel Berlin offers a comfortable and affordable stay in the vibrant Kreuzberg district. Guests appreciate the clean and modern facilities, friendly staff, and convenient location near public transportation. The hostel's 24-hour reception, free Wi-Fi, and daily breakfast buffet are definite pluses. While some rooms might be a bit small and noise can be an issue, the overall positive experience...
Trip with a school class. Hostel is in an old building and has basic, but appropriate comfort. I've been to a lot of German Jugendherbergen with similar or even less comfort... The rooms were quite clean and rather silent, except for car noise from the main street below - and of course some heat (both was to be expected in Berlin during summer...). Note: Linen for dorms is not included. CCTV on all...
The overall location is very convenient. There is a subway station right outside the door. It is also very close to the city center. You can reach any place you want within 3-5 kilometers.
This is a very nice Place to stay, location and building are great. The personal were very friendly only a lady from the kitchen who was annoyed that some guests couldn't hear her low voice in the middle of a crowd of people in the restaurant hall.

There was a shared kitchen space with the room members, which was great, and not just once.
The truth is that it was very good, it wasn't perfect but for the price it's a great option. Lots of friendly people, nice atmosphere and despite having gone in winter I didn't get cold at all. And the bar is great!
A good hotel with a good environment and friendly roommates. If you want to stay cheaply, you can choose this hotel. The service attitude is good.
Good hostel , room are spacious and the bed is comfortable. Location wise it near to public transportation. The receptionist are very welcoming and helpful toward all the guess so i would highly recommend this place and will definitely come back here again.
It's a nice hostel with many young guests. If you stay for a few days in Berlin to explore, it's definitely a good address.
Very good place in central location, between Ostbahnhof and Warschauer Strasse. Clean rooms and common areas. Bar area in the reception.

Nice Neighborhood. Clean hostel. Big and active kitchen/lounge area. Free lockers.
Nice and clean, great location and really helpful staff. The 4 bed dorm was spacious and the beds were comfortable. Great place to stay in Berlin and a good price.
Quite simply the best hostel I've stayed at in Europe, and I've stayed at many. Clean, quiet, efficient, cheap and very friendly helpful staff especially the manager Sebastian and OJ, the big guy who looks like a kiwi rugby player. Lights and electric points at all beds, fast free WiFi, relaxing common room and a huge well equipped kitchen. It's a destination in itself. If this place isn't available...
My absolute favorite Hostel in Berlin. Stayed here 3 times now and it’s always amazing! Clean, quiet, comfortable and very nice people! Close to the U8 and everything is easy to reach. 5 Stars and I’ll come here a lot more often in the future! Much love, such wow!! ;)
Good, solid hostel option. We stayed in a private room, which was spacious enough for us (though certainly not large) and had a nice strong shower. There was a balcony, but the door seemed to be locked, and probably too cold anyway! The bed was super soft, which I liked but my partner hated. This was my first trip to Berlin, to attend a concert. I stayed 2 nights and the price was around 28 Euro per night. The room was booked for four people. The room contained 2 bunk beds and a double bed. The sheets on four beds had been cleaned but the sheets on 1 bunk bed were still dirty, which was a little disturbing to see. Everything else seemed to be clean. The cabinet in our room looked brand...
For the price, it is decent. If you desperately need a place to stay in Berlin for a few days, and you only care about the price, it is a viable option. The place was relatively clean for the most part, but the showers are constantly waterlogged, and people keep throwing the used toilet paper in the bin, which results in a horrible smell. The rooms have no toilet and shower on their own, so you have...
The location is very good and central. It is very cheap in all that it means: cheap bed quality, looking shabby, rooms very stuffed, sometimes smells weird - and yet they take care of hygiene (even though it doesn't look like) and for a hostel the showers and toilets are ok. The people seemed nice too. Very uncomplicated in general
Dirty bathroom, bad smell from kitckhen. But interesting neirboughood.
Nice location. Crazy old building
This was really adventure. But finishly, we took a number. Reception work till 21:00, be careful!! Thank so much to Maria and Galina, they saved our night. Good clean roooms, tea sugar is free, coffee machina is not free. Clean toilet, warm water, toilet paper. In ten minutes near the railway station (elektrichki). Good price 11EU\night (not 9EU,'cause of tourists tax).

EastSeven was the perfect base for exploring Berlin! The staff were super friendly and gave great local tips. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and the common areas had a relaxed, welcoming vibe. Great location, quiet street but close to everything. Would definitely come back!
hostel staff were very welcoming and friendly, especially at the front desk. rooms and bathrooms were clean. lots of events available to make new friends such as games and going to certain attractions. location was great - near a few tube stations and not super far from the city centre. also lots of bars and restaurants nearby if you don’t want to travel far
The East Seven hostel in Berlin is a little gem. It’s a bit off the beaten path but it’s fun, clean with a cool Bohemian vibe and nice, helpful staff. Upon checking in, the receptionist will brief you on all the necessary information you will need to maximise your stay experience, and then lead you to your room. You can stay in a 5star hotel, but if the staff is unfriendly, you will remember it forever and never want to return. Pretty solid hostel. Bathrooms could've been cleaner and the shower curtain follows you everywhere. The room was very nice and clean and the service was also great. The location is a bit far from public transport, you will have to walk at least 10 minutes wherever you go.
Very good and kind service, especially from the kitchen staff member Haxhi. He is so kind, very helpful, loving, and always smiling, with lovely welcoming words and quick assistance. The hotel is very nice and clean, and the location is perfect.
We rented a dual bed for just one night. The self check-in didn't work because of missing some of my info so did it at the desk. The receptionist was polite but could be more friendly. The room and facilities were clean, neat and tidy. The price was excellent. A little bit of noise in the morning.
Overall a pretty good hotel. The price was good, the location is good if you're in a car (it is right outside of the zone where you need the environmental sticker) and the rooms were nice and clean. The team was friendly. Hotel very convenient.
Booked the hostel for my son who was solo travelling through Germany. He said bed was comfy, staff were nice and it was a great location. Only downside was street noise so earplugs would be a good idea. Great value for the price.
Location is convenient. Love that the beds aren’t bunk beds. Friendly staff with fluent English. If only it had a common area for cooking/storing food…The hostel sells pizza but last night at around 1am they burnt a pizza and set off the fire alarm so everyone had to evacuate from the hostel in the middle of their dreams…
The location is great, being very close to the MTR station, which is convenient for transportation. However, I experienced some issues during my stay. The best barber shop in Berlin! When you enter into the bathroom and the first thing you see is an Arabic guy trimming is beard and forehead when you’re trying to brush your teeth you know it’s a barber. I give them three stars because I think they are providing housing for low income locals and refugees. That is very admirable. If you are low on money or in a fix, you WILL survive staying here. Quiet place with comfy beds, a big common room and a small kitchen. Friendly staff. They have lockers but you have to bring your own padlock. Good location. The only drawback was the shower which was in a disgusting state and you have to keep pressing a button to keep the water flowing.
The hostel is clean enough but looks even dirtier than it is. Also, there are very few bathrooms and facilities for the quantity of people, there is no privacy at all. It's more like a pension than a hostel. The beds are not very clean either. I have had way better hostels for this price.
A good, well priced hostel right near checkpoint Charlie and the Berlin wall. We arrived by car and had a but of trouble finding a vacant parking spot as it was a weekday.
