The website photo shows a spacious area with a table and chairs and plenty of space to separate the twin beds. The reality is a room where you cannot walk around the beds, let alone have space to sit at a table. The walls are not insulated, so you will hear everything that your neighbours are saying, and I was wearing ear plugs. The electronic check in machines did not work, and there was only one...

We didn’t have the best sleep the first night. Some guests where screaming and running in the hallway, but the second night was quiet. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and the place was clean. We also didn’t have any problems with our roommates. The morning buffet was also good. Location wise a bit far with public transport. Service was friendly!

I booked a single room for 2 people. The room was very clean, we had our own bathroom and shower and a small study room. The atmosphere in lobby is also very good. The location is just perfect as you can easily access the bus stop which is in front of the Hostel and The U8 which is just 5 to 8 min. walk away. Would surely recommend it as its value for the money you pay.

Perfectly good facility. The interior design of the whole hostel was quite lovely and the services offered satisfying. Reading some of the reviews, I feared the worst. It turned out it is not so bad - the common areas are very nice and the room was very clean and while some parts had shown some significant wear and damage, the important parts (bed & bathroom) were in perfect condition. No instructions from the staff. At all. When I checked in and headed to my bed I saw my bed with the dirty sheets from the previous person. Previous girl hasn't taken off the sheets and just left it there. The staff hasn't made sure that my bed is clean as well. So know that when you check in, no one cleans your bed after the other person!!! No one told to this girl that you should take off the sheets...

The location is great, very close to the central station, and the staff were very nice. However, I got for myself a bed in a female shared room thinking it was going to be a bunk bed, but I got a single bed right next to another, which is not ideal when sleeping with strangers. Also, the room was a bit dirty.

Staff was really kind and helpful, allowed us a very early check in and was very quick. Location is great and near the station, rooms are basic but good value for short trips. Overall definitely better than some of the other places in the same area.

Small and cozy! The a&o staff is always super friendly, young, well trained and helpful. They always make sure you are having a good time. Shout out to the bar, which makes the place even cozier, where you have tables and cozy lights to hang out and have some nice drinks. Super easy to make friends as well if you are a solo traveler.

It’s alright if you’re on a budget, not my favourite hostel. There’s always something slightly wrong with my stay in an a&o hostel and I promise myself I’m not gonna stay in another a&o hostel, but they always have availability because they’re huge so when I need to book something quickly I always end up returning. This time I had a really bad allergic reaction to the room but there was no money back...

We got towels and our beds were already made when we arrived, the staff was nice and we were able to do the self checking when we arrived. We were a bit early but there was a large common area to wait until checking time. Everything was clean, the rooms are safe

At half the price of most nearby hotels, I was pleasantly surprised. Sure the rooms a small but every thing was clean and worked. One of the best no frills budget hotels I've ever stayed at. Friendly helpful staff.

very small and unsafe. no air in the room. when we were at the room, cleaning staff just opened the door without knocking and we were naked at the moment. she didn't go out, she just finished her tasks and went out without apologizing. i say no to this hotel.

This hotel is in a great location with even better transport links. The rooms are kept very clean and tidy and the rooms themselves are a good size which don’t let in much road noise from outside. Only negatives would be that the beds are too hard for me with pillows far too soft (I asked they don’t have any firmer pillows) and the shower randomly goes between boiling hot and freezing cold as noted...

The rooms are basic but nice and clean. Location is great, close to centre. However, we found that the shower temperature constantly switched between freezing cold and scalding hot. When telling this to the staff, we were given a rude response, especially the staff member on the night shift. No apology, just the response of “what do you expect me to do about it, I’m here alone”. I had a wonderful stay at your hotel. The view was nice, and the room was cosy and immaculate. The personnel was nice. It was the ideal location to decompress and rest following an exhausting day of touring.

The air conditioning in the room didn't work at all, and the room overlooked a noisy intersection so your options at night were either to close the window and have trouble sleeping because the room got too warm, or open the window and have trouble sleeping because of the loud noises outside (cars, trams). Location was good, 10 min walk to alexandraplatz. Clean hotel, good housekeeping. Friendly staff. Only downside was the tv. Could only watch sky news on repeat as no other channels were in English. Petrol station below so could get a few bits in the shop.

Excellence service, friendly staff in answering all the questions I have, which is very helpful! Good value for our stay. Full of good surprises that the hotel provided a machine to shine the shoes, a tool to open the beer bottles, and weight device to weigh the luggage. The Room is very clean. Fantastic value for a super clean and lovely hotel in a very convenient location (Tiergarten), close to public transportation. Efficient, easy check in process. WiFi fast and reliable. The stuff was friendly and helpful when our door key did not work. The room is clean and bed is comfortable. Wifi was ok but sometimes, it did not work well. The breakfast has only few options and eggs was the only warm food there.

It was a pleasant experience with the hotel during my stay in Berlin. You can expect a vibrant yet calm neighborhood with many malls around for shopping, a grocery store in close proximity, U bahn station and all. You can easily take the RE train from airport and get off at Zoology garden and have a small walk to hotel. Do not expect to find main attractions close by, they are in public transport range...

Checked in online, still had to que, when other guests collected luggage. Room fine, balcony magnificent, even though not cleaned. Embarrassing that they wanted to charge full price for room, even though it had been paid with some points and the rest in advance. Be better!

Clean hotel, rooms big enough for short stay. Bed for me (125kg) could be better. Breakfast was great, service with a smile. In the evening you can still get your coffee etc and pay at the desk. Very good choice for the money and so close to great restaurants and urban life

I've visited this Ibis location several times because of its convenient, central location. Check in/out was quick and uncomplicated as always. On this occasion I was in Berlin for a concert and had forgotten to print out my tickets - the reception staff immediately offered to print them for me and also gave some information about the venue. These extra touches make a visit that bit easier and enjoyable...

Simple and good-priced losging close to the Ostbahnhoff, with standard Ibis fare. Make sure to ask for windows away from the street, as the local intersection is busy and loud and the view towards the train station is nothing to wrote home about. I’d also avoid paying more than ~90 EUR a night.

Stayed in this hotel from 15-11-2022 till 18-11-2022 . This was the cheapest hotel on the internet for our date. We have stayed here with the two of us. We booked and paid for everything online. When we arrived everything went well and the boy behind the counter was very nice. He also spoke English (which I really think is necessary in a hotel). When you arrive you walk straight into the counter. The hotel looks very dull inside. No atmosphere at all...

We really enjoyed our time in Berlin. The hotel is well positioned close to the Alexander Platz and other tourist attractions. All staff members are very helpful, responsive and friendly. Breakfast is good, hot drinks and water is accessible until late evening. Many great restaurants around and all kinds of public transportation at your door.

Stayed here as a couple. Staff were polite and helpful, we were able to check in early on the day we arrived and they safely looked after our luggage on departure so we could continue exploring. The hostel is pretty cheap and the room was clean. The position, too, is convenient enough. However, the room was really too hot, it was a complete pain sleeping at night - we couldn't open the windows and there were no A/C. The pillows are horrible. Also, the hallways and the carpet in the hallways are pretty smelly.

Lovely, clean and bright rooms and situated in a nice, connected neighborhood in Kreuzberg. The staff were helpful and friendly and the general hostel atmosphere was friendly but not too busy. Lovely location along the canal too so I would definitely recommend this hostel.

Nice hostel with friendly staff, the room was ok and there is a large lounge with a football table and a bar. There is also a large garden with tables and benches used to drink beer.

Rooms are comfy, breakfast was really good and the service is at the highest level. Nearby you will find bus stops and shops about 3/4 minutes away. More demanding customers may find fault with something. However, it is also worth looking at the price of the rooms. If someone requires a 5-star room, let them go to a 5-star hotel.

As the first room was smelly and bathroom a little messy, probably due to the guest's usage, I asked for changing room and the second room was clean & neat. The staffs were quick to response on requests. Location is a little far from tram station but place is happening downstair but yet still quiet at rooms.

The girl at the reception was really friendly and checked us in with no hassle, the room is clean although I was surprised that the bathroom was outside of our bedroom (not in a bad way, I just haven't seen one like that before) and although the location is not exactly in the center, it's located right at a bus stop, so coming and going was really easy. I booked this hotel because I was going for the Coldplay concert and needed somewhere within the walkable distance from the venue. After checking some of the reviews, it got me a bit nervous about staying there. But in fact when I got there, everything is in good order. Staff is nice and available 24/7. We had a really good stay at the hotel. The room was nice and there was daily cleaning. The staff here was nice and friendly. Our room was right out to the train station but we weren’t bothered by it at all and we barely noticed it.

The best thing about the hotel is the staff! Especially front desk staff - they were fantastic. Always cheerful and ready to fulfill special requests. The beds were also super comfortable. The only complaint I have is I wish there had been more cheese varieties at breakfast - really, that's a tiny issue. Great hotel!

Great hotel! Very very clean! Super nice staff and everything seemed new in the rooms. I wish they had room safes but besides that, I couldn’t recommend it enough. Also the wifi was great. I had a lot of meetings and never had an issue. The location is great, I look forward to going back.

Room is as expected for a budget hotel and clean. But it’s bothering that the temperature adjustment was only centrally. Really difficult to sleep as the heating was on and it felt like on an tropical island but it is April in Berlin. On the street side, opening windows did not help and work, as no circulation but only noise was in.

Located right within the spandau arcaden. You can literally get whatever you want in the arcaden from groceries, food, shoes, perfumes, repairs, restaurants, computer and phone accessories.

Great hotel, was in a great location right by the station, made it easy for us to get around when my husband did the marathon. Rooms are comfortable and clean, they're basic but perfect for what we needed. My husband had breakfast but didn't think it was worth the €17 price he paid.

Very easy to get to. Right by the S-U bahn station. Lots of eateries and shops on the doorstep. Staff all spoke english and were pleasant. Room had working air conditioning. Daily housekeeping. Room was very quiet considering its in a high traffic area. The only thing that could have made it better would have been to have a kettle in the room (i was aware there wouldnt be one).

The hotel is well located and was clean. Sadly there is no kettle in the room. The mattress was very thin and the carpet had seen better days. The space for storing clothes is poor . I would suggest the hotel is good for short breaks but not for longer stays

Great location for trains throughout Berlin and Germany and local buses from the adjacent Rathaus Spandau. Typical new ibis clean, simple, low fuss. A polite welcome and farewell from the staff. And a reasonable rate considering I booked the same day!

They are polite. The breakfast is enough. Just at the check in time they told us to wait till 15:00 we walked around but it was really good expeeience. I offer that place i. Its clean and new furnished.

It is a very nice hotel and have a very good location. You can walk to Branderburg Tor within 20 mins. Also Checkpoint Charlie is very close. From Anhalter Bahnhof or Postdamer bahnhof you can go anywhere. It takes only around 20 mins to arrive this hotel.

Love the vibe of this hotel, perfect walking distance for the Berlinale Film Festival and European Film Market. The staff is super helpful, the bar is great for meetings, the rooms are efficient and very modern (more East than West Berlin style aka funky). Would love to see the kitchen offer lighter fare; more salads, a couple of soups...not everyone can handle the calories of schnitzel and sandwiches...

Best IBIS I have stayed at. Room was basic but clean and tidy with a nice bed. Staff were friendly and helpful and it's just a minutes walk from the underground.

I discovered B&B Hotels last year and they do not disappoint to this day. If you have stayed in one location, chances are that the other one will be similar. The price is adequate for the quality you receive - the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast has a variety of choices (We did not eat during this stay, but have eaten in other locations).

I like this hotel because it's clean. Have been staying in other hotels in this price range and would always prefer B&B. Check in could be improved because the access code never works from the app! We also had to pay one time double, because the outside computer did not have the information that we already paid. Very nice. B'fast should be booked before. We arrived late at night and wasn't able to have b'fast as we didn't manage to book before. The place was clean but I would have preferred if the rooms were cleaned more thoroughly as mostly only beds were done and towels were changed.

It's a nice place to stay for solo travellers. Spacious rooms and clean bathrooms. Very calm and quiet neighbourhood. Near to the highway even thought the place is around 13KM away from city centre. S-Bahn (Ringbahn line) station is 600m away. The hotel reception was closed most of the time and you cannot even reach them on phone. That's the only problem I've faced.

Good location, generally clean... Small under-filled pillows, no air conditioning (hot during summer), poor draining and ventilation in showers. Not much atmosphere but this is a safe and relatively inexpensive place to stay. Bathrooms cleaned twice a day which is GOOD. Recommended.

Clean place, cheap, quiet, the mastress and pillows are not from the best quality ever but the price you pay it's fair. They haven't mind given me a new room at 11 pm because one guy has been smoking in mine. The area is nice, looks safe, and lot of place to grab food.

It's clean enough and it is right next to the U8 line which will take you down to the main areas in Alexanderplatz. Local area maybe a little bit too outside of the city zone for some people.

I give 4 star due to its a 3 star hotel. But the location is near to Messe and hotel recept is professional in service, language and providing directions. Oh yes, its not beside to Tegel airport, but its makes its fun to travel on the Bahn. The rooms are spacious but no bath tub. Outdoot front garden terrance is a good place to sit down midnight to have a good drink purchase from the 24hrs liquor store...

Since I was only there one night a guest, I can't say much except, the welcome very friendly, the rooms were sufficient and clean. The Breakfast the next Morning was varied and plentiful.

The floor dissolved from under the bed and the rooms are a bit small. Cleanliness of the rooms is OK.

You realize that the Hotel is already a bit older. In the bathroom there is here and there is mold. From the bed I get pain regularly back. The staff are very friendly and always helpful. Clean place, easy to check in, free parking. No cosy atmosphere inside but a perfect place to sleep for a few nights for a reasonable price.

You get what you pay for so ofcourse you do not exspect a 5 star hotel with a lot of breakfast and big room. I would recomend this hotel to people who is only looking for going out in the city and not spending much time at the hotel

Called ahead to get a accessible room on ground Level but was given a room in second floor, stairs only... great for wheelchair users. Paper-thin doors, entertaining to listen to talks in the hallway. Rooms were clean and affordable but noisy. Good wifi

This is a good hotel. We booked it as we did not had many options as everyone else was fully booked. It's basic, has clean beds and staff is pleasant. It's conveniently located close to a bus stop which connects to the S5/U5 and if you go out on the right time you can be at the Alexanderplatz in 20-25 minutes. Yes, it's in the east side suburbs but honestly if you don't mind using public transport...
