Motel One-Upper West, Berlin1 / 32
Berlin, Kantstraße 163-165 🧭 Map
This hotel provided a perfect home base during my trip. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet, ensuring restful nights. The bed was very comfortable, and the linens were fresh. I appreciated the complimentary bottled water and coffee maker in the room. The staff were courteous and went out of their way to accommodate my requests. Breakfast was served every morning with a wide range of choices, including...
I stayed here for two nights. The hotel is located near the train station, which was convenient for me. My room was clean, though the carpet could use an update. The bed was firm, which I prefer. The bathroom was clean with good water temperature. Staff were polite and check-in/check-out were quick. Breakfast was basic, but I appreciated the fresh bread and coffee.
The hotel room was really nice but service was so poor. Bcoz there was no telephone in the hotel room , no amenities provided by the hotel. When we asked toothbrush then they said, u can come go to reception and pick🤦🏻‍♂️ Breakfast section was too tiny and had to pay 18€ only for some breads😀 But the view from room was wonderful Such amazing . And try to hire some employees
Good experience overall. The breakfast seems to be all organic, which is amazing, but was a bit all over the place, when busy. The room was small, but clean. The hairdryer didn't work and there was no phone in the room to call the reception and ask for a new one. The bar and the terrace on the 10th floor are worth a visit. The drinks are good, a nice assortment of gins they have there. A lot of greens...
Very good option in Berlin. Public transportation available for both S and U trains in less than a 5 minute walk. The bar in floor 10 is totally worth a visit, it has amazing views of Berlin. Rooms are small, but they are equipped with all the basic things you need. From here you can walk to the park, checkpoint Charlie, etc...
Great location , rooms were small but very nice and neat. The terrace is amazing with views of Berlin.

The hotel 8s well located, clean and the staff is helpful. Bear in mind that there is no restaurant.
Room size was okay ,central location ,was clean
Great stay. Very helpful staffs. Amazing location in the central of the city. Very convenient to walk around for sightseeing.
Decent place with modern design, and very convenient location. No luxury, but price is quite reasonable. Could have been nice with fridges in the rooms
Clean, renovated and nice staff! Great location and nice view of the city (was on the 13th floor) ✌️ Liked that in the lobby there’s a big table with sockets where digital nomads can work comfortably and have some interesting conversations with each other 😄 The price was relatively high because my stay was a bit before the Berlin marathon weekend. Wish there was a fridge in the room.
They have friendly and helpful staff. Especially Mr. Şahin, like all Turkish origin people, is a very helpful and understanding employee. I would like to thank him. He made my vacation more beautiful. Although the rooms are small, they are very useful, the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The best part of the hotel is that transportation is very easy and it is located in a lively square.

Booked a 4 Bed Room, was pretty small for 4 people but manageable. Bed were not that comfortable. Enough storage for stuff tho and if requested we got more towels, didn’t work over the app tho. The room key over the app also didnt really work because it took a long time to load and you were just faster with a physical key.
Nice room with comfortable bed and the usual amenities. Breakfast was good but I missed some fruit variety. There is no safe in the room, but there are some small drawers that can be secured if you bring a lock
Decent hotel, with pros and cons. Pros: Close to subway, rooms are clean, nice lobby atmosphere, there is breakfast. Front desk was very friendly. Free wifi. Cons: Room was very compact, there was AC but it didn’t work well. Location wise, not many restaurants nearby worth eating at.
Rooms are simple but clean, breakfast consists of pastries, meats, cereal and plenty more. The restaurant has nice food and the bar has a great selection of cocktails and more. Air con is available once the window is closed, and is very effective. The guest kitchen is again simple but has all utensils needed and is handy for making any warm drinks or food whenever. staff are very friendly and i recommend...
This hotel was really good for a reasonable price. The service was really nice to me and very outgoing. Not only did I get a physical keycard to open my room, they also have an app with which you can open your door or call the service to restock your bathroom. The room itself looked really good, was clean and even had a little couch. I had a great view of the Ostbahnhof which looked great, especially...
Great rooms and nice location- right next to the station. The only thing is that, if you arrive earlier than the check-in time- you have to self drop your luggage in a room that’s not locked and is accessible by anyone. Otherwise everything was perfect, clean rooms and good service.

It's very easy to get to tourist spots. It's also close to the Zoo station on the S-Bahn, so I recommend it.
MotelOne is nr1.. for the price Motelone is always value for money, the beds are good, rooms cozy and the bathrooms okay. The ground floor has a nice lounge atmosphaere, inviting to sit down and take a drink. The onlybthing is that the breakfast needs some scrambled eggs and more vegetables.. otherwise all is good!
Lovely reception area and bar. Rooms themselves were a bit tired. The Aircon didn't work/wasn't on so had to open the window but it's right by a very busy main road so was loud.
The location is excellent. The legendary KaDeWe departement store is literally around the corner. Good transport connections to the underground and buses. There's no safe in the room. No proper chairs. No wardrobe, only shelves. Loud drilling noises on Monday morning.
Super location, room was very comfortable and silence. Lobby like other Motel One hotels is large and modern styled.
When we arrived the service was awesome, very helpful and really nice. For the price the hotel was very neat and pretty, the only thing it lacked was a personal mini fridge. I was really surprised at the fact that a 3* hotel offers daily cleaning service. Just for 2.40€ one could get to Alexanderplatz from a nearby U-Bahn station with no issues. Lovely budget place, recommend!

Good location, lovely hotel and the decor in the public reception area was cool and quirky! The room decor was basic and quite small, would have been good to carry the same theme throughout! Good location, next to metro station, near a Lidl and friendly staff!
Poor value-for-money. Service was unfriendly. Room was not cleaned properly. Towels were dirty. Cleaning staff tri⁷ed to enter the room despite the Do Not Disturb sign hanging on the door outside. No safety chain on the inside of the room door. Overall, this was a disappointing experience, and it fell below my expectations of the Motel One brand.
I really liked it, basic but very comfortable room. Everything was clean working well. The location is fantastic. There are a lot of public areas and the feeling is great. Good value for your money.
The rooms are a bit too minimalist for me but the common spaces are great ! Breakfast is simple but effective 😁. Excellent location and very nice staff 👌🏾
Overall, okay-ish option for very short stays exploring predominantly the „Museumsinsel“. Clean rooms, however, tiny space offering no place to hang clothes other than 2 small hangers. Single-sink bathroom offering barely enough space to turn, with no amenities other than a shampoo. Incredibly unfriendly service upon check-in by „Jenny“. Despite double bedroom booking, surcharge for second person(...
For the price we paid to stay here we expected a lot more, small room and quite basic, but clean. No kettle, no iron ( not that there's enough room to iron anyway) not even a welcome bottle of water. Staff were friendly enough, but our shower gel vanished on day 1 and was never replaced. Can't comment on breakfast because we didn't think €120 for 4 days breakfast was acceptable. Overall a nice hotel...

Hotel was everything that we needed. Easy to find. Walkable to the centre. Good stay.
Nice and clean hotel with a very convenient location close to the train station and all the popular tourist attractions. The breakfast is a highlight!
Basic amenities like body lotion, dental kit, kettle, slippers etc not provided. Only one pillow per person is given. Breakfast doesn’t have basic croissant even.
Thank you for everything delicious breakfast confor bedding good center location easy transport
Decent hotel! It smelled a bit in the room and it was small but for the price it was decent. Great location and good breakfast options
I traveled through the Balkans, Germany, and the Czech Republic. But this hotel was truly shocking. The size was decent and the location was good. The room was also clean. However, there was absolutely nothing in it. No electric kettle, no cups, no refrigerator. Out of all the places I’ve stayed during my travels, I’ve never encountered a room with so little. An alright stay. They don’t change sheets until the end of your stay which is annoying. Room is spacious. Bathroom nice. Wanted a double bed not twin and they didn’t offer me one.
Great location with good access to public transport. Warm and friendly reception.
The hotel rooms are very clean and well-lit, and the toilet partitions and facilities are very practical and convenient. The staff is very nice and friendly. One of the best hostel in Berlin. So impressed that it really gets everything you need and super friendly staff. The four people bedroom feel really cozy and private. I was living in another hostel early on and it’s heavy and hell.
A good hostel. The rooms are big enough, the tall ceilings make them airy. Bring ear plugs though as it is noisy. The rooms overlook the internal square so the noise out there rattles around. The staff were not particularly friendly and they could do with a few more on reception as there were often queues.
perfect weekend stay at Berlin, nice location, good staff, spacious rooms, ridiculously cheap and worth the money (you will get great value for the price you pay for). I will definitely stay there again next time.
Nice rooms wirh enough space. Hostel is near the Spree and only one minute away from the Metro. Breakfast is international but not very big.
Lively with a great atmosphere, PLUS Berlin was great to stay at! While the WiFi wasn’t very usable, the double room was great. Not too central to Berlin, but is right next to the U and S stations and walking distance to tons of food, and bars. Our room had A/C by surprise, though not sure which other rooms did. Some bath towels were also a bit old and ripped, though usable.
This hostel was very upscale for the price we paid. Of course the beds are creaky, but what other hostel do you know of that gives access to a pool and sauna?! Each room has its own private bathroom which is highly convenient, and the staff on check in are available throughout the night and are very kind and helpful. It's also very close to the bus stops and train station so getting around is very...

It was good. Was expecting a bit more of room but is fine. Towels and covers were hidden but we found them. It was clean :)
A great experience in Berlin. Kids loved the bunk beds. We loved having AC and being so close to the train station. Also located beside the East Berlin Gallery. Very budget friendly as well. We parked for free on the road right in front of the hotel for the weekend and took the train everywhere. The front desk attendant spoke English well and was helpful. Overall good experience.

Aletto hotel is next to the train station so getting to other areas in Berlin is easy. It is very convenient as well to have Starbucks just downstairs for breakfast, so props to that. However, room is slightly small and found it difficult to stuff our luggage in😅 Toilet is clean with a giant mirror, beds are slightly dusty.
The room was much bigger than expected, the beds were super comfy! The restroom was so big as well, kinda easy to flood since there wasn't any door. The water pressure was so good. Plenty of counter space in restroom for all the skincare. The location was perfect, next to a train station and 2 stops away from a mall and grocery store! Also good food options around. All in all it was great here, I would...
Very nice hotel. Great breakfast. Very nice balkony on the last floor with a city view unfortunately it is open until 22 only. Rooms at a bit small for more than 2 people and water is splashing out of the shower but that’s acceptable since it is cleaned daily.
Location is really good as it’s next to the U-Bahn station.
Stayed here for almost a week while on a business trip. It was a very positive experience from the quick and very hospitable check-in to check-out. The hotel staff is very, very friendly, attentive, hospitable and always willing to help. Special thanks to those who worked on the hotel bar, you made the stay very cozy and it was always more pleasant to work at a table in the lobby than in the room...

Love The Niu definitely. 🫶🏻 Just one request, teach the evening shift at the reception to work a little faster, 20 minutes per person is a very long time. And thanks to the best receptionist who was at the reception on 9.11 at 7 a.m. I will come back here absolutely🖤
I've stayed here many times but only because I have to due to my work. The rooms are fine but overpriced. But clean, tidy and modern although the weird wallpaper bathroom I don't get... Breakfast is decent enough and teh staff there are pleasant. However, the same can't be said about the reception staff. Everytime I've stayed here, I receive no greeting but just a surly employee who doesn't say much...
Really nicely designed hotel. The rooms are modern, new, silent and very clean. Young, international, and friendly employees who can speak English well. The location is good to use Sbahn to reach other parts of the city.
The single most hipster place we ever stayed at, with friendly staff and adequate rooms. Located close to public transport and with a lot of nearby eateries so it was a great spot to start your Berlin visit.
Very new and nice hotel only 100 meter to S1 Bahn and M46 bus to city center. Windows Are VERY sound proofe. Free drinks each day you decline room clearing 👍

Booked a balcony room. You can book a 4-star room at the same price. I chose a 4-star room. I was too tired on the first day and didn't realize it was next to the subway. I found it next to the subway on the second and third day. There was a sound of the subway passing by the window. The breakfast variety was relatively small.
The room is quite big and clean. It is a bit noisy near the railway, and there are often noises in the bathroom due to the light bulbs. The breakfast is very rich, and there are some breakfasts that Chinese people often eat.
The location of the hotel is very good, next to the commercial street in the center of Berlin, not far from the subway entrance. There are two lines nearby, and there are many delicious restaurants downstairs. The hotel breakfast is also good.
The location is good, the room is very clean in the same price range in Europe, and the breakfast is rich. The waiter at check-in was much more professional and enthusiastic than at check-out.
The breakfast is quite rich, you can make your own muffins, and it is not far from the MRT station. ................................
Sadly my romm was next to rails, even if good isolated, a little bit loud

Best hotel to spend a night whilst you wait for your connecting flight to another country. Very affordable and treat their customers special. I will be here again 🥰🥰🥰
Really enjoyed our stay in this groovy hotel. Room was clean & warm. We booked last-minute - during a road trip and we were not disappointed. The local ALDI is a 1 minute walk away from the front entrance. Parking is €8, which is great compared to some others we found. Very helpful and happy staff at the hotel.
Very nice and friendly staff, 24/7 service at the reception where you could grab a drink, a coffee or a snack. They also had an outside terrace next to the parking lot. Everything was spotless clean, and the hotel was very quiet.
I've been there for short stay and I had fantastic time. Superb friendly staff. Clean and well arranged room. Spotless bathroom. Short distance to the airport. Arrived for a weekend away with friends late on Friday. Check in was completed quickly and politely. Had a separate bedroom and living room area, two balconies as well as ensuite bathroom. Room was clean...
It's a clean and well-maintained hotel with comfortable rooms. It's location is a huge advantage. The view is not bad. Not much noise even though the rooms face a large avenue (other than sirens every two minutes). Wi-Fi is a little poor in connection quality. But in general, an excellent performance-price ratio for the average traveller.
Great location... pretty close to Alexanderplatz and all the trains, food, entertainment that it offers. The negative of being close to Alexanderplatz is that it can be loud pretty late into the night... police sirens, etc. Also right next door is the abandoned Stasi building - read the history of that place yikes! It is a budgety hotel and they do have a restaurant, but no room service dining...
Good location, walking distance to Alexanderplatz but also right next to tram so choice of walking or tram. Rooms a decent size, double bed was really to singles put together with two single duvets. Bathroom a little bit dated but overall the stay was nice with helpful staff. Bar could use some improvement or opening up to be more welcoming.
Good location. Clean. Big and well equipped rooms. Too bad it doesn't have a bistro or a bar.
Huge rooms (some even with balcony), good breakfast and about 5 minute walk from alexander platz metro station. One of the better restaurants near the platz!

small and cosy room, the self check in was a good initiative, able to check in myself without the long counter queue. good stay for a nice sleep , it’s beside a drugstore and train station

I had a cosy little room. The street is loud, but it's OK with a closed window. Vibrant Oranienstraße is around the corner.
The only reason I don't give 5 stars is because there are no tea/coffee making facility in the room, also the wash basin in the bathroom has no stopper!! Otherwise very good. Breakfast and location all good.

We loved this place! We had breakfast every day and it was fresh and yummy.
Very nice rooms and place, shame it's not the same for the staff, I don't know if it was because we were young guys or because we are tourists but they treated us as if they didn't want us: at dinner one day we asked for salt since all the dishes were tasteless but they didn't want to give it to us (in a hotel there should be), while another time we were at breakfast and we were a bit late and the...
The hotel was okay, but the washrooms looked like the one I had in my school. Plus, the doors couldn’t be locked, so all the time I was stressed if no one comes in.
