Good service even in challenging times

The staffs were great and very professional, the only issue is that wifi not great in the hotel rooms. Asked to change room on the 2nd night but was told it's a general problem at the hotel. Had to sit downstairs at the reception to use wifi. Not great for a four star hotel.

One pillow? Air conditioning didn't work. Room too hot. Hotel outdated and location becoming particularly unappealing and intimidating with refugees hanging out outside the hotel. Staff if very professional and well trained.

The room was perfect in all sense. The staff at the reception was fantastic. The lunch buffet was very good. This is the only place I will be staying at, whenever I am in Essen.

What a treat after a long journey - a terrific hotel with lovely, welcoming people from reception onwards - and great food and wine. My dinner order was taken with a smile and a friendly "take your time" the very minute the restaurant was supposed to be closing, and the waiting staff were equally fabulous at the brilliant breakfast - where there was real honeycomb. Wished I could stay longer.

The hotel in General is quite good, but do not expect a beautiful view from the window - it overlooks a busy road. Breakfast could also be better.

Good hotel in busy place. Clean rooms. Close to bus stop and shops. The staff is polite.

Front facing room. Tends to be a bit noisy so couldn't open windows. Excellent breakfast menu.

It's clean with great room service and breakfast, but the pillows are not good (suffer to sleep).

It is a very good hotel, well located, efficient with service and very attentive to gests. Clean, comfortable with spacious and well equiped rooms. I loved staying there.
