We love this family friendly hotel and cannot wait for our next visit. Hopefully very soon ! It's the perfect location to relax enjoy nature , delicious food and wine and a swim or sauna. Not to mention the extremely comfortable bedrooms and excellent customer service .

Property needs some general upkeep and clean up around the grounds. Rooms were fine but lacked any extras. Beds were comfortable, with different pillow options. We had to request and pay for a coffee station that only included 2 instant coffee packets for a 4 day stay. Courtyard was nice, but messy and apparently right next to a staff use area that had constant noise from some sort of carts being pushed back and forth. This started very early each morning. No air-conditioning, which you understand with older buildings, but there were also no fans. Our only option was to open the door and windows, which brought moths and bugs in. Staff was borderline rude. Made no effort to be helpful and acted put out when we asked questions or for more coffee packs. Also asked us to leave at 5 minutes past the alloted breakfast time when we were sipping our final coffee and finishing the last bites of food. Paid breakfast was great the first day we were there, when they had many guests (a weekend that included some sort of large reception). The following days, the food was cold and not refilled (during the week when less guests were there). The showers in the 2 rooms we had were horrible. Incredibly small openings, large step up, and nothing to use to support yourself climbing in and out. All 4 of us, of various ages, sizes, and fitness, felt unsafe and dreaded using them. The location is great and generally peaceful. A bit more effort to make guests feel special and appreciated would go a long way.

Fenomenal hotel ,located in a beautifull little Forest,the room are cleen the breakfast is realy tasty and the Staff worki g there is realy friendly i would highly recomend it.

In the mountains, transportation is not very convenient, eating around is not very convenient, and the food is not familiar to me.

Wonderful hotel, Very respectful staff. Applause to Nick who was in charge of breakfast, great selection of continental breakfast. The surrounding of the hotel is Beautiful and well kept. Very good sport facilities. Great menu in the hotel restaurant which was executed greatly. Nice little bonus with the terraced schleusenbude with welsh street food in the near area. Highly recommend

Nicely located, very clean, comfortable. The less positive is the bathroom and especially the access to the shower which is in the bad tub. It´s very dangerous because slippery and difficult for elder people to access. No airco in the rooms neither but we were helped with with little windmills

Beautiful surroundings, being in the woods and be the water. We’ve enjoyed the fresh air.

It’s loud (as old buildings tend to be) and with a family of either high as kites elephants or a group of river dancers living upstairs, it’s been hard getting rested in the room.
The extra bed (for our 2year old child) was a fold out couch with more visible metal parts than a scrapyard. It was noisy and impossible (and dangerous) to sleep in/on.
The food, at the in-house restaurant, was bland and too high priced for what it was.

3 stars for the service (not high end service but the staff members are people and few people deserve 0-1 stars!)

Came here not long ago to go to Pie Guys... Easily the best fish and chips in Hamburg. Tastes just like the good stuff we get back in the UK! Real quality 👌 And super friendly chef as well. Can't wait to come back soon.
