Awesome location and amazing staff! We booked the Executive Lake View Room for 4 nights (2nd to 5th May); the room overlooked the Alster Lake and was very comfortable and clean. The Heritage Bar was particularly a lovely experience and Sidney Fernandes took great care of us and was very attentive. Would definitely recommend this property...the views of the Alster Lake was breathtaking.

Interior of hotel/rooms a dream! Mishap: guest needs to ask for everything instead of the staff looking for your comfort! Breakfast nice, cramped buffet. Juice&used dishes -same spot. Not elegant!

Absolutely brilliant. We have been spending two nights stay and talking from the rooms to the facilities including breakfast just exceptional. Stylish property in a converted brick building in a perfect shopping location. Stylish rooms with ample power outlets and USB chargers. Junior suites have a nice sitting area and separate desk. Heater didn't seem to do much when it got chilly, though.

DING DONG we have a 5* Champion!! Easily one of the best hotels we ever stayed at. Very “old world” atmosphere, elegance and top class service. Some of the bar staff is friendlier and more personable than others, the breakfast is spectacular and our room was amazing with a great view of the Alster. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Amazing location right next to the lake yet still have the residential quite neighborhood. Just a couple corner away from the tourist area, and amazing food in the bar to make sure you still get your food during Christmas period. 👍

Highly recommend this hotel. Particularly the breakfast is very nice. I really liked that there is a yoga mat in the room for me to do stretching. The rooms are great. A lot of bronze and carpet but extremely clean, a lot of plugs, plenty of space in the shower and excellent WiFi. Unfortunately I couldn't give the breakfast or restaurant a try but they looked great!

We loved our stay at the Grand Elysée. Our room was spacious, the restaurants and bars were really good, and the staff was so kind to us and our three-year-old daughter. We couldn't have been happier with our time in Hamburg and a big part of the reason the trip was such a success was everyone at the Grand Elysée making us feel right at home. We'll be back!

I rated this hotel only 3 stars because one of the main reasons I chose the Grand Elysee Hotel was their laundry service. However, I was shocked when I saw the prices: they charged separately for every single item, and it was extremely expensive. All we needed was to have our basic laundry washed and dried. I could understand if it was for dry cleaning, but charging 4 euros for sports socks was unbelievable

This is the best hotel in Hamburg. The service is fantastic and facilities classy, clean and comfortable. Proximity to shopping, CCH, public transit and outdoor space is convenient. Highly recommend a service at the spa and dinner in Piazza.

We've had a family dinner as well as stayed the night here. The staff is extremely welcoming and professional and accommodated any wishes we've had. The Junior Suite's have astonishing interior and are spacious, we even had partial lake view. The bed was extremely comfortable and the desk set up was perfect for work as well. Breakfast was rich. Always a lovely place to have a delicious meal, a cup of coffee and amazing cakes and/or a relaxing overnight stay. The staff are always polite and attentive. The hotel is beautifully situated in the forest, we love eating or taking tea or coffee in the garden when the weather allows, surrounded by huge, graceful trees.

The check-in and check out process was insanely slow which left me irritated on arrival and depparture. Half an hour for each. The fitness room did not meet my expecxtations for a 5-star hotel. Breakfast was ok, but i expected more. The view is what you pay for in this hotel. Rooms held i high standard, i only hoped the rest of the hotel held the same standard. I will not come back.

Excellent hotel for its price. Spacious rooms, and the view over the Elbe river is breathtaking. Great restaurant, great bar! Easy access to the Elbphilharmonie, so if you visit Hamburg to attend a concert there, the choice of the hotel is obvious. Very well equipped gym.

The hotel is absolutely well located. The service and the facilities were amazing. It is indeed a beautiful experience to stay in this hotel. As Elite Members we were treated very well and received an upgrade to a beautiful suite. Complementary Upgrade is of course based on availability, but in this case we were lucky.

This was a nice hotel. Location is just perfect! Right in the center of Hamburg, close to the main shopping street, lots of places around in walking distance. You can get there easily by car, public transport and of course taxi. From here you'll be able to do almost anything by foot in the center. Especially if you don't shy away from walking a bit. The staff were particularly amiable. Few food choices nearby; it seems a bit isolated among business blocks, but the U and S bahns are convenient.

On of my favorites in Hamburg. Modern and very spacious rooms and architecture overall. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms quiet. The only thing to mention is that air-conditioning can be loud. The gym is small but very functional. Food/ Bar and Restaurant are great.

Very nice hotel in Hamburg's downtown. I have stayed here a couple of times with no problem. Excellent personnel, room clean and all working as expected. The hotel is within walking distance to the subway and also the main train station. With a 20-30 minute walk, one can also get to the river.

Nice hotel, good atmosphere, modern rooms, comfy beds, good location. Definitely -1 point for a very complicated checkout where they can't handle modern credit cards (ApplePay) but rather need to write down numbers (which you obviously don't want) and even need to represent your card when just checkin out despite they've captured the charge before. We spent 4 nights in Hyatt Hamburg. Initially booked 3 but extended as the weather wasn’t good and couldn’t see much of the city offerings. Beautiful hotel & restaurants in Blankensee overlooking Hamburg & the Elbe. Has it's own underground parking.
