We had a great stay at the Renaissance Hotel Hamburg. The comfort and service quality of the hotel were excellent. I would especially like to thank Ahmet, one of the front desk staff members. DING DONG we have a 5* Champion!! Easily one of the best hotels we ever stayed at. Very “old world” atmosphere, elegance and top class service. The rooms are great. A lot of bronze and carpet but extremely clean, a lot of plugs, plenty of space in the shower and excellent WiFi. Unfortunately I couldn't give the breakfast or restaurant a try but they looked great!

We loved our stay at the Grand Elysée. Our room was spacious, the restaurants and bars were really good, and the staff was so kind to us and our three-year-old daughter. We couldn't have been happier with our time in Hamburg and a big part of the reason the trip was such a success was everyone at the Grand Elysée making us feel right at home. We'll be back!

I rated this hotel only 3 stars because one of the main reasons I chose the Grand Elysee Hotel was their laundry service. However, I was shocked when I saw the prices: they charged separately for every single item, and it was extremely expensive. All we needed was to have our basic laundry washed and dried. I could understand if it was for dry cleaning, but charging 4 euros for sports socks was unbelievable

My stay at the hotel was pleasant in most aspects, however, the noise isolation was exceptionally poor. I was privy to every little sound from the room next door, from showering and toilet flushing to even their conversations and television. I believe a 5-star hotel should prioritize a peaceful and quiet environment for its guests, which was unfortunately lacking in this instance.

Everything about this hotel is amazing. The location is perfect. I came with my husband and three kids, and the room was spacious enough for all of us—even on a rainy day when we spent some time indoors. The check-in and check out process was insanely slow which left me irritated on arrival and depparture. Half an hour for each. The fitness room did not meet my expecxtations for a 5-star hotel. This was a nice hotel. Location is just perfect! Right in the center of Hamburg, close to the main shopping street, lots of places around in walking distance. You can get there easily by car, public transport and of course taxi. From here you'll be able to do almost anything by foot in the center. Especially if you don't shy away from walking a bit. We've had a family dinner as well as stayed the night here. The staff is extremely welcoming and professional and accommodated any wishes we've had. Always a lovely place to have a delicious meal, a cup of coffee and amazing cakes and/or a relaxing overnight stay. The staff are always polite and attentive. The hotel is beautifully situated in the forest, we love eating or taking tea or coffee in the garden when the weather allows, surrounded by huge, graceful trees.

Beautiful hotel & restaurants in Blankensee overlooking Hamburg & the Elbe. Has it's own underground parking. Nice hotel, good atmosphere, modern rooms, comfy beds, good location. Definitely -1 point for a very complicated checkout where they can't handle modern credit cards (ApplePay) but rather need to write down numbers (which you obviously don't want) and even need to represent your card when just checkin out despite they've captured the charge before.
