The location of the hotel was perfect! Everything was very clean and tidy, but the best thing was the instalations and the staff that was always so friendly and polite, especially Mai!

I dont see anything wrong with this place. Rooms were good, bathroom was good, maybe a little small, but it is a big city. Shower was also decent. Beds were good and the rooftop was also great. Price was also fair and breakfast was decent. Most of the time the place was quiet, someone were up in the middle of the night and were a little loud, but some staff told them to keep it quiet. The hostel offers a charming blend of modern comfort and welcoming atmosphere with clean rooms, and I must commend Omar ,his warmth and efficiency at the reception were remarkable, creating an atmosphere of genuine hospitality. Staff were helpful. Their facilities and tech could be updated, there was a long wait time to just be able to change from a mix dorm to an all female dorm. Some rooms had more room than others. I stayed 2 nights on separate days. Unfortunately I stayed in a room with a disgusting older lady who obviously had health and mental issues. The staff said there was no other rooms available. Everything has been great. First time in Hamburg and we are glad that we stayed in this hotel. Standard of Cleaning really high. Tasty breakfast in a comfortable seats. The room had everything that you need.We will definitely recommend it. 🔝🔝 10/10

Super nice staff who helped with a booking mistake without applying extra fees, which was very appreciated! Nice rooms and everything else was fine - especially considering how affordable it is. Be prepared for considerably long waiting times and the reception. But great value for money.

I chose to celebrate my 50th birthday at the hotel and the hotel recognised this in the best possible way by putting a bottle of champagne in the room. A marvellous hotel that has earned all its stars. It is not a new hotel but of high quality.

A family friendly hotel with a nice architecture in a quiet area. There’s a short walking distance to the center. The staff are friendly, but compared to the number of rooms and guests, theres too little staff at the service desk, so you usually would end up waiting in line for any inquiries.

The rooms are great. A lot of bronze and carpet but extremely clean, a lot of plugs, plenty of space in the shower and excellent WiFi. Unfortunately I couldn't give the breakfast or restaurant a try but they looked great!

We loved our stay at the Grand Elysée. Our room was spacious, the restaurants and bars were really good, and the staff was so kind to us and our three-year-old daughter. We couldn't have been happier with our time in Hamburg and a big part of the reason the trip was such a success was everyone at the Grand Elysée making us feel right at home. We'll be back!

I rated this hotel only 3 stars because one of the main reasons I chose the Grand Elysee Hotel was their laundry service. However, I was shocked when I saw the prices: they charged separately for every single item, and it was extremely expensive. All we needed was to have our basic laundry washed and dried. I could understand if it was for dry cleaning, but charging 4 euros for sports socks was unbelievable

This hotel promises a lot when you enter the beautiful lobby and reception area. It's grand. Unfortunately it doesn't deliver when it comes to the room we booked. We stayed in the King Medium room but it was much smaller than on the photos, there was literally no space to put your suitcase anywhere even though they had put a stand for it in the room. My Aunt Susan and I just spent several days at the centrally located Reichshof Hotel. The inside of the hotel is beautiful (dating back to 1910), and the staff is exceedingly professional and helpful. The director, Kathrin, brings in delicious locally grown products; and Emil's Café, with its charming waiters (outstanding among whom is the endearing Kay), adds life and flavor to the hotel.

We had a very nice weekend stay with my friends here. Helpful and friendly staff. Clean rooms, well insulated, and comfortable beds. Due to the short stay we did not try the wellness center and we chose to eat breakfast outside (there are some wonderful bakeries and breakfast hot spots in the city), but based on the rest of my experience I trust these are up to par. Luca Engel at the Reception made sure our stay was memorable and pleasant. The staff are friendly, the breakfast was fantastic, the rooms were clean with wooden cribs for my babies (requested during booking) and we even got an upgrade to a river view room! :)

Really nice location of this hotel! Very comfortable beds. Room needs to be renovated as you can clearly see that it is not fresh. Breakfast really tasty and it’s great value of money. I recommend it, however customer service of hotel should take opinion to consideration to make some lifting of hotel rooms.

The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. Also the hotel was very clean and tidy, the only little compliment I have is that the air conditioning wasn't very good but it was unusually hot at the time of my visit. It has been a beautiful three nights stay with the family. Two kids, myself my wife, and grandparents. The location is fabulous, it's in the heart, you are surrounded by beautiful scenery, in the middle or very nearby to so many things and places. The staff from the reception was very professional 10/10. We had a room at 16 floor and even there is a train station near the hotel we didn't heard anything from it. From the room that we had, the view of the city was amazing. I will be glad to book it or recomand it with pleasure anytime.

The staff was super friendly!! The Hotel was super cleaned and followed all the security measures due to the pandemic. The room is not very spacious, but it is comfortable. The bed and pillows are a little too soft. The neighborhood seems not very safe and there were many homeless nearby.

Wonderful location, close to the river and metro station. Quiet at night, but within 10 minutes of the Reeperbahn and Milentor stadium. Well presented room with excellent "gift pack". The shower was hot and powerful. The staff spoke excellent English.

I had a day stay in the hotel for a congress. The view from the "Elbkuppel" meeting room is fantastic. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The lunch buffet was good. Only the lack of a possibility to order a beer or wine on own expenses during the paid official lunch was a bit disappointing. It should be possible to organize at least one working order machine for additional services.

I am a Platinum member of Bonvoy and have traveled quite a lot. Short summary - loved the experience :-) The restaurant was amazing for dinner and breakfast. The staff in the hotel was always helpful and polite. The saunas and swimming pool were also on par excellence with all of the details thought out including water. The price value balance is perfect! Hotel staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, housekeeping service is quiet good! Most of the people hang out at the lobby at night time and it is fun to spend some time there. Coffee is for free at the lobby bar. You can walk to the city center in 30 minutes but that won't be an enjoyable walk. The nearest metro station is Berliner Tor.

Lovely staff and quality hotel room for the price. Not a horrific location but small walk to station and not much else going on nearby. I enjoyed this as a tourist being in the sticks though for a little mooch and more day to day stuff going on.

Was surprised how good this place was for the price. Rooms were really clean with maid service every day. Breakfast was great with a huge range to choose from. Staff were friendly and competent. Only downside is that the location is a bit out of the way however, Berliner Tor station is only about 10 mins walk away and taxis are plentiful.

We had a wonderful 1 night stay at the Scandic Emporio when we were visiting from Canada for the Taylor Swift concert. The staff members were all so kind and helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was a short walk to the city centre and close to many shops and restaurants. Good size room with plenty of space for a double sofa bed as well as a king which are either side of a partition. The TV is in the partition and swivels around so can face either bed. There was a large bathroom too. The hotel is well located about a 15 minute walk from the centre. The common areas are ok.

A very pleasant stay! I stood for 6 weeks in the xs apartment. It is small indeed, but really nicely and smartly furnished, so it didn't feel crumpy at all. Very nice view facing the old town. Nice hotel with a cozy lounge area including bar facilities. Arriving with car the parking basement had spaces of reasonable sizes 👍 The rooms are a little small but accomodate all you need. We had a lovely room with a view. We didn't go to the restaurant or sauna so I can't comment on that. There was an awful smell that came out of the drain of the shower which made our last evening in the hotel unpleasant. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

4 stars for location because the exciting parts of the city are easily accessible by frequent bus that stops nearby, and the area is appropriately safe, accessible, and convenient for those with cars (who can find free street parking nearby, often a challenge in Hamburg). Just an average hotel. The rooms were very warm. We tried to adjust the air conditioner but it only went so far. Otherwise, most of the amenities of the hotel were closed for the day. Front staff was helpful. The location is very good if you were taking a cruise

Overall a great experience, we went there as group of six friends and booked two premium triple room. Rooms were great for the money we paid. It was big and spacious. Breakfast was great as well, we loved the spread. It was healthy as well covering wide varieties of eggs and museli. Only downside was that A/C was not cooling the room as expected. Exceptional service, clean rooms, friendly multi-lingual staff! Interior decor is warm and welcoming however the bar is on a lower level than the overall service and management should hire a bit more staff because they’re often overwhelmed but it’s recommended for a couple of nights and the area is relatively calm.

The hotel is generally OK but unfortunately they are happy to take a deposit upon check-in, which they do not return without intervention. I had to intervene twice to get the deposit back. The money was returned two weeks after the collection. I did not expect such practices in the Marriott chain. A small thing and I do not want to return.

I was privy to every little sound from the room next door, from showering and toilet flushing to even their conversations and television. I believe a 5-star hotel should prioritize a peaceful and quiet environment for its guests, which was unfortunately lacking in this instance.

Everything about this hotel is amazing. The location is perfect. I came with my husband and three kids, and the room was spacious enough for all of us—even on a rainy day when we spent some time indoors. The pool was great for in-between activities, though the water was a bit too cold for our liking. The service was fantastic, and we loved everything about our stay! Oh- the waffles were to die for

The advantages of the place are: 1. Location (shops, restaurants etc) 2. Very children oriented staff. It’s really important and nice. 3. Breakfast - very cozy restaurant, much variants of food, corner when the child can choose the food by herself. Disadvantages: 1. Swimming pool are not working during our several days here.
