Hostels in Heidelberg

Waking up to the sound of elephants. :-) Clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast (included). Free parking. Bus stop close by (although I didn't use it).

No wifi to rooms, only one key for a room of four people. Everything else is fine.

Don't forget to add another layer of sheets above the blue one since it doesn't get changed.

Super friendly place, and very comfortable beds.

The location of the hotel is a really well placed one in the city. The rooms were impeccable and the service exceptional.

Nice location, next to zoo and university in nature. Nearby busstop to old city. Parking situation not so good.

I loved being able to have a free bike to explore more of the city!! It was so easy to check in and out. I loved the service and facility, rooms were cosy and nice but it was loud at night because of being in the city. But they offer free earplugs which is great!

Super kind and helpful staff.nice rooms, separate toilets, and showers. Community kitchen. Busy with live in students, so the kitchen could become packed with them studying.but still nice stay.

Spacious, quiet and clean hostel. The showers are annoying - have to keep pressing the button for water to flow; no hooks. Breakfast for 5 EUR is just ok. Walking distance from the Hbf but have to take a bus to get to the attractions in Altstadt. It's a bit dead. Staff are nice, but travellers keep to themselves. Not a social vibe. The lounge has computers for use but closes overnight at 10 pm.

I loved staying here. They have gender neutral bathrooms 🙏🏻♥️ the rooms are clean. The kitchen and lounge areas are spacious and clean. The staff are super nice and helpful, I had a place to park my car and an all female room. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay 😊❤️

Cute place with excellent location! I liked how this is a refurbished place! Staff were friendly. I met lovely people here. The showers were ok but could be cleaner and also more intuitive (more hooks for example), that’s why it’s not a five stars. The bonus was the free bike rentals 😊 would recommend this place!

Rooms doesn't have attached washrooms to the rooms (it's outside the room) A little expensive.

The overall hygiene and environment are good. There is a public kitchen where you can cook, a coffee machine, and you can boil water yourself. The price/performance ratio is quite good.

Chatting with the backpackers is one of the must thing to do there. The vibe is nice there.

Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in! Location is perfect, just below the castle and minutes away from the city centre, rooms are cozy, nicely-decorated and clean. Staff were helpful, showed me where to visit in Heidelberg. Lotte feels like home!

Average hotel, fine for a necessary overnight stay.

Check-in around the clock using a code. Large free parking lot. Large room (number 112) and very clean. The bathroom was newly renovated, no mold or anything. Despite the location (directly at the train station), quiet. 5 min walk to the castle. The only thing that bothered me was the pillow. Too hard and big for me. Otherwise great! Gladly again!

Great, super clean, super nice, super breakfast.

Great big rooms, but the hallway is really loud. Also no Airconditioning witch is a big issue in the Summer months.

I loved the service and the room. I was personally escorted to the room. And in the morning when I checked out I was offered a cup of coffee. I felt very comfortable. The atmosphere was almost familiar. Will book again when visiting my kids / grandchildren.

Very clean, very friendly staff. Single rooms are big enough to move around easily. No breakfast, hence the low price. In addition to snacks and hot and cold drinks, car drivers in the lobby also have fresh dishes such as pasta and salads. There is also a microwave for heating. The hotel also has a wheelchair lift at the rear exit.

I stayed at this hostel for an event and it was wonderful. The facilities were very clean and modern and I enjoyed the meals as well. I would definitely stay there again!

This youth hostel is at an awesome location near the forst park at the bank of river Rhine. The facilities are good and staff are friendly. The lounge has free wifi and a TV to watch sports . The bad in the lounge offers comprehensive range of drinks and food . However at times the bathrooms may not be as clean as you need. Place is clean and breakfast buffet is a good deal. It has a decent playground for guests with kids. The location is nice right next to the Rhein. It has elevators which is important for getting luggage up and down. But it provides free WiFi only 1hr per day per device. It has no AC so you have to leave the windows open when the weather is warm and it can be noisy due to people hanging out in the front...

I ended up dripping wet in Oberzent on my bike tour and, although I hadn't booked anything, I was welcomed spontaneously and very friendly. The hosts are the best and the hostel is perfect.
