Insel-Hotel Heilbronn

Good hotel with a very nice location right in the center of Heilbronn. The food was good and the service excellent but it's a very old fashioned hotel, that you have to like I would say. Also the breakfast could have had a more wide variety and the buns could have been a bit less hard, but the rest was fine.

Nice mid-century decor and an excellent location by the river. A good alternative to the usual chains.

I like this building. And it's from the fifties, maybe even the sixties. The building occupies almost the entire area of ​​the island and there are not so many islands in Heilbronn. I was in the restaurant a couple of times, it's expensive, I won't say that I really liked the main dishes, but the coffee is normal and the dessert is also good. This building is one of the few symbols of the city, symbols, I would say the city's hopes for post-war reconstruction. And still, when I walk by, no- no and yes, I transfer my gaze to this building. It would seem nothing special, but no, and it pulls to look at all this.

I liked it very much, although I did not immediately find the main entrance (Restaurant is written above the main entrance), I entered through the side entrance. Very clean, comfortable, luxurious rooms, bathroom with combined shower and bath. Very good pillows and blankets, internet for three devices, there are blinds so you can sleep even when it's light. Everything is thought out in the rooms, comfortable wardrobes, hangers, a seating area for comfortable shoes, there is a spoon, shoe polish and so on. There is a hairdryer. The breakfast is delicious and satisfying. It is better not to take croissants - they are rather "rubbery". The selection of starters for breakfast is great, everything is delicious. The coffee leaves a lot to be desired. But the juices pleased me: orange, grapefruit and even from rabarber. Accommodation is not cheap, but it suits the task of combining price and quality.

Beautiful place! An excellent hotel, the rooms are very spacious, the breakfasts are varied, there is a swimming pool, sauna, massage. Close to shops and restaurants.

We chose Heilbronn as our overnight stop while crossing from Switzerland to Poland by car with a small child. We booked Insel Hotel last minute, over the phone, knowing we would be arriving only minutes before 10pm. We selected it based on its excellent location, the pool and the parking availability. Stefanie, who took our booking, was super helpful, kind and made us a special offer for a room, breakfast and extra parking - free of charge.

The room was very big and comfy with nice new bathrooms. The pool area was excellent, very relaxing, clean and brand new - plus empty just for us. In the end we extended our stay by a few hours which was not an issue.

The only drawback- we got so relaxed at the pool that we went to have breakfast at 10:30, by when the buffet was limited. Yet, it was compensated by some nice eggs choice a la cart.

Will surely return next time I am in Heilbronn and happy to recommend it.
