Hotel Engel -er Bier und Weinstube

We stayed for a couple of days in this lovely hotel. Small room but very clean. Breakfast, perfect. They prepared it with such details and creativity. Very appealing to the eyes. You get a list a day before breakfast and you can choose maximum 5 items and write the time you wanted to have your breakfast. There is also a basket with bread and wishes are mostly granted. The ambiance is very relaxing and traditional. The Breakfast service is very friendly and attentive to our needs. We enjoyed our breakfast. The hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the station and to the port. Everywhere are restaurants and shops. They have also their own restaurant which is very well visited. People fall in line to have a table. All in all, we are happy with our stay in the beautiful island of Lindau.

P.S. There is no aircon, so it could be really warm in the attic specially in Sommer.

I went to the hotel restaurant for lunch and had the cheese Spätzle with a Schnitzel. It was delicious. Andreas, the waiter, was super friendly and attentive.

The handsome & kind owner and the friendly staff turned our visit to a memorable and magical experience on this cute island. The location of the hotel is just perfect to stroll around. The room and hotel itself was clean, authentic, calm and super comfortable. The service in the restaurant was always on point. Even when it got busy, the service was very caring and friendly. The variation in the menu was more than enough to choose from and mirrored the german kitchen. Both, lunch and dinner was fresh, delicious and obviously high quality. This hotel really completed our experience at lake Constance. We will definitely look back to this trip with gratitude and abundance and this hotel was the cherry on top.

It was a pleasure to dine at Engelstube in Lindau. The ambiance is cozy and well maintained, although the tables are a bit small. The traditional cuisine is excellent, the dishes are carefully prepared and served with precision. The beer is of excellent quality. The staff is friendly and always smiling. The prices are average. I highly recommend, although an English menu with photos would be a great improvement to make the experience even more accessible.

Very nice restaurant in the earth of Lindau. Enjoyable terrace if the weather allows it. Food was good, with some local specialties. Many vegetarian dishes. Prices were really low comparing to the restaurants in the harbour. Recommended.

Very charming little hotel which found an amazing mix between preserving the historic structure of the house and adding very modern, high quality and "design" elements to it. Wonderful food and great service with a personal touch. I was highly positively surprised especially considering the moderate prices. Recommended stay, unless you are looking primarily for large rooms and a lot of space, which you won't get in this historic building

Gorgeous but quaint little hotel. The dining room apparently hasn't changed very much , and the food there was wonderful.
