Very modern and well-equipped hotel, friendly staff; the only drawback was that there were green-yellow streaks on the wall in the hallway of my room (unclear what substance) and after I returned in the evening there was always an unpleasant smell in the air (unclear whether it was coming from the bathroom or the ventilation), which could only be temporarily aired out, even though the room was supposed...

Nice hotel with spacious (for Europe) rooms. Although without direct access to airport, the hotel serves travelers needs. Good restaurant and bar with friendly and accommodating service.

The Van Der Valk hotel is absolutely stunning inside, the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. I didnt use the Restaurant so i cannot advise on that but thr Bar is comfortable ,but service can be slow when busy ,only to be expected. Overall i highly rate it

More than anything I liked the King size bed and mattress and the bathroom , equality materials and hot water at all times. It should be considered having kettles in the hotel rooms.

Booked 1 night for a trade fair visit in Essen, a fifteen minute drive away. The Hotel is located near the airport. anyway for walking it is a bit too far, so I would recommend to take a cab. Price was about 15 Euros from the airport. The room was dark and quiet but quite small (which didn’t bother me at all). you can not compare it to more luxurious hotels but for the price I would recommend it for an overnight stay especially if you have flight connections or you arrive...

I found the location of the hotel to the airport to be excellent. It was about a 15 minute walk via a sidewalk trail that went up to the train station rails and then I could just go straight up to the airport. The room was very clean. The temperature was easy to adjust to my liking, the bathroom was lovely, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I was able to drop my bags off in the morning...

Taxi from hotel to airport is €12 which is too expensive for 2 mins ride. Air conditioning in the room was not working properly. Everything else was very good.

It's a 2 star - but who cares - it's clean, 24 hour reception, hot shower, comfy bed and let me take my dog in the room. The field outside the Novotel was great to run the dog around after a long drive from Poland. Airport not far from the hotel, and place to sleep nice and well

A good budget hotel near the airport. Also local Rheinbahn train and bus depot is right behind the hotel. It makes your life easier to travel to the heart of city with ease. Few bus services are also directed to Airport so travellers can reach Airport cheaply. Breakfast on the house is good, most of the items are repetitive. Bar has an extensive collection of whiskey to enjoy but very limited options...

This place was a little over a 20 minute walk from the airport. The walk was easy and safe. There are a few restaurants close by but most close early so for later check ins there are only about 3 open later that are walking distance. The receptionist was very helpful and inviting. Nice hotel. Big rooms. Clean and tidy. Bit of noise from the trams but this means they are easily accessible. Not much going on in the immediate area so you may have to walk to find a decent place to eat. I would go back, hopefully next time for fun instead of business.

Very kind and polite reception. Room was very clean and spacious. I couldn't experience the bar or breakfast due to my very early flight. Airport was about 10 min from the hotel. Taxi drivers will not want to be paid by card.

Very cosy and clean. Staff speaks in at least 3 languages and all are very polite and helpful. Place is near to the airport and pretty much the only downside I can think of is the sound of teams at night. Noticeable before you fall asleep, not loud enough to wake you up though. Very nice and comfortable hotel. Located within 5 min from the local train station, And it takes only 2 min from the station to the airport. You can enjoy local beer at the restaurant just next to the hotel.

It is quite suitable for business trips, but the surrounding area is not very convenient. However, the whole hotel is very clean and tidy. It is recommended to come here if you rent a car. The hotel that was supposed to be acquired by Marriott was not well managed before, but it has been very good since the general manager was replaced.

Got booked in here when flight from airport got cancelled, I have to say the the room is very nice along with the great reception staff named Walid, overall a lovely hotel.

The rooms were very big and beautiful, but the bed for the kids was very uncomfortable and noisy. The breakfast buffet was amazing, there were so many things to choose of and it was super delicious. With the check-in we had some problems because we couldn't open the door with our cards. There is a hot steam bath but it only opens from 3 p.m. which is a bit late.

Visited this hotel for a short stay on a weekend. Room was okay - even there has been a problem with the shower making noises at night. We were very disappointed by the breakfast though - advertised at 8,50 EUR (real price 10,50 EUR nowadays) due to options, freshness, etc.

The convenience of the location for the airport, the pleasant responsive staff, the furnishings (washer & dryer, etc.) make it easy to simply move in and live. Small meals are easy to order. Daily cleaning and linen service means hotel comfort in a proper setting with reasonable price. It is close to necessary places besides the airport: supermarket, transport, and good restaurants.

Perfectly fine My stay in Ratingen was perfectly fine. I have no complaints. The taxi to the airport is expensive and there's a €5 additional drop off charge so that should be taken into account, when "saving" money on accommodation near the airport.

I missed a refrigerator in the room and if you come late in de evening to the hotel you can not park the car. Also there was not a watercooker and cofee or thee in the room. But all the other thing were good.

Very nice hotel. Simple yet easy to use and good check out time. Unfortunately it was unclear up front that the parking was €15.50 per night so please be aware of this. For those using EV charging, the rate is €0.60/kW (June 2025) and is a 22kW charger.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms were nice and comfortable, it had a built-in speaker so I could play my music (honestly my favorite feature). The bathroom was clean and had its own AC, nice touch! The bar was open 24/7 and has a pizza menu, it was great for after the concert I attended, because I was hungry! Lastly, parking costs 15€ per day.

This hotel confuses me. On the one hand, it's brand new, has a really nice lobby and bar, and the room is very spacious and modern. On the other hand, the bathroom was dirty (hair everywhere, including on the towels). An iron and ironing board costs a EUR 40 deposit, cash only (?!). The internet works SOMETIMES, and there is no phone to call down to the front desk if something is the matter. Worst...

I was on business trip and stay here 4 nights. Yet this hotel is new and modern and equipped with everything you might need for business trip. I felt disappointed about window in room is locked and unable to open, it was difficult to breathe as I am very sensitive to air quality. We were at the hairdressing trade fair this weekend and ended up here. We were extremely satisfied! Online check-in, friendly staff, super modern, perfectly adequate room. Clean, tidy, and modern. Breakfast had a bit of everything and was nicely presented. The price/performance ratio completely exceeded our expectations. 8 minutes by Uber to the hairdresser for €13, perfect!

I was visiting a friend who lives nearby, which is why I chose it. The receptionist is very friendly, but she only speaks English and German, so keep that in mind. The only complaint I have is the pillows; they're German-style and I found them a bit uncomfortable

Owned by a very friendly and helpful couple. Centrally located in Angermund (it's Angermund so what isn't?) and only a 10 minute bus ride into Kaiserswerth. The rooms are clean and breakfast is good. I've been coming here since 2012 and love it.

Our best German experience. The room and cleaning was great, the hosting family is more than welcoming. And folks have a charming dog! If you wanna enjoy your stay and feel yourself a king/gueen of some sort, be sure to stay at Hotel Rosenhof. P.s.: and they also give you a travel ticket which allows you travel around until you leave the hotel. How convenient!

Great location at green city fringe, on S1 train line to airport and Dusseldorf Hbf. They give a handy travel card to guests, so you can catch trains or buses in Dusseldorf area, and Dusseldorf is only 20 minutes away. The hotel has a great internal garden, and the breakfast room has a nice, peaceful ambience. I stayed here for work - very pleasantly surprised.

Lovely quiet hotel, within easy reach of Dusseldorf Airport and the centre of Dusseldorf by train, with the train station 30 metres from the hotel. Continental breakfast served in the restaurant and also available in the garden when the weather permits. Rooms are large and homely.

Located near the tram where you can teach the city center within 15 minutes you can find a very nice business hotel. Large rooms with very comfortable beds. The only small downfall I could find was the quality of the food not being consistent. The veal liver was undercooked, but this fault was duly corrected. I enjoy visiting this hotel

I chose this hotel as it was closer to the airport than where I had been staying to make catching the morning flight easier. This rooms are in need of a remodel. While they are acceptable, they seem to have been done last about 10 years ago. The restaurant food was delicious and I was even able to have dessert delivered to my room. Good service!

As a fitter, the company booked me this hotel for two nights. It is located in the middle of a very quiet residential area, almost looks like a larger single-family house. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. There is also free WiFi here. I would recommend this small, cute hotel anytime and book it privately.

We booked a family room but there was very poor WiFi connection, so we asked the receptionist for help, they changed another room for us at once, good service!

We were greeted for our 3 night stay, by the friendliest and most helpful reception staff we have come across. Denisse and (not sure on the spelling)Lili, went out of their way to help us with any questions we had about the area and with a smile. Our room was spacious, clean and welcoming. Rhythmic gymnastics team arrived for a competition on Friday. We occupy the hotel for two nights. There are 14 of us and they offer us 2 rooms in the hotel and 5 rooms on the ground floor (motel type). Good breakfast at 13 euros per person, both sweet and savory with renewal of products as soon as they run out.

Stayed for 2 nights, i discovered the room cleaning was not provided by the hotel, but only upon request, and needed to be asked, never happened in hotel of that level, nobody told me that at the check in. Remained 2 days without it cleaned. No coffee machine and water boiler in the room. Very strange for a 300 euro per night hotel room. At the check out they did not even apologize for that issue.

Generally a nice hotel, a castellorette. It is romantic, lots of corridors and steps: easy to get lost 😅. The green had lots of chances to cover the walls and roofs, that’s nice. Hilton Düsseldorf is a good hotel and overall it was a pleasant stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the service was professional. The only downside is that the gym is very small compared to what you would expect from a hotel of this size. I visited the hotel for work trip,got single room that was really convenient,clean and pleasant to stay. The cleaning staff did great job every day. The breakfast was excellent. The receptionists were nice and helpful,I was able to check in one hour before, and got a delayed check out before my evening flight.

I had a fantastic stay. After reading some of the (recent) reviews, you start getting concerned, however I had a great night here. There are lots of underground parking spaces available. The hotel is clean and the room I stayed in was wonderful. Very clean and well maintained. The staff at the reception as well as in the Executive Lounge are wonderful. Well, due to renovation, no room upgrade and executive lounge, located at a restaurant, proved to be a subpar experience. Staff were nice and professional. Took taxi / uber to the city center as it takes about 30 minutes by foot. I'd wait until renovation is completed before visiting again.

The location is good and the room is clean. But I couldn't find any staff and couldn't get in touch with them by phone. I waited at the front desk for 20 minutes before someone came out to check me in.

Good basic hotel. Paid parking is available nearby. Street parking may be available. The rooms facing the front street will contend with the street train/trolley going by at all hours of the night. No bells ring on the train, but there is the rattle of the train.

Clean rooms, good breakfast, no lift, no help for luggage carry to 3rd floor

No elevators and lift in the hotel so if u have heavy luggage and you get a 3rd floor room it is a no no... also not a lot of eating outlets near by...however rooms are clean and free breakfast is good
