We were very warmly welcomed and made to feel at home straight away. On a walk, our bags were already in our rooms which was a nice touch. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I just loved this place. The breakfast served was good. They provided us with a diaper changing mat and baby bed on request. Of course it costs 15€ additional price. They also let us wax the cross country skis and were very accommodating with check-in times too. Definitely will choose them when in the Ruhpolding

Only stayed one night but thought the hotel (and town) was worth a longer visit. Nice location, excellent room, the hotel has character and is in a nice spot.

Outstanding place to stay. On our recent visit to Ruhpolding from Ireland, we stayed at the Alte Sage. Stefanie and Harry were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room - Super. Breakfast - Super. Everyone, starting with the owner, is so welcoming. This is our 3rd stay over the past several years. The rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed. We had a balcony which was lovely. The breakfast buffet is THE BEST we had at any of the other hotels we visited during our 2.5week European trip.

A wonderful inn in a great location easily accessible to many restaurants and attractions in town. The innkeeper and his staff are very friendly and helpful with their guests. Friendly, helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms with plenty of space and storage. Nice selection for breakfast, easy parking and handy for town. Honesty bar for drinks was great. Will definitely stay again if we come this way.

The service, location and facilities were excellent - the food also was high class and delicious.

We liked everything: location, stuff, rooms (extremely clean) , food (we celebrated here christmas) swimming pool. The only min was - it was extremely WARM in the restaurant. It was so warm that I couldn't enjoy the atmosphere.

We had a perfect stay. The food was outstanding and the also have a brand new Spa. All the staff was so helpfull with advise to visit places nearby. Salzburg is just about 30 minutes away. The rooms are refurbished and we one on the top floor with a mountain view.

Nice and quick service in the beer garden in the afternoon for good price so decided to test it for dinner also. Good atmosphere inside and quick service. Really good desert and was possible to get a small cognac to it.

Traditional nice hotel. Service can be improved both at the reception desk and at breakfast. For hiking: in Aug most of the cable cars were closed.

The family room was very nice and spacious but the bed made noise every time you moved on it. All in all, 4 out of 5. Dinner and breakfast were very good.

Dream location, friendly staff. We checked in around 9 PM, very good communication. The room was clean, spacious, and had a terrace, complementary 2 bottles of water. Parking cost €5/night extra. Exceptional breakfast with a wide variety of food. The hotel bar is open until 1:00 AM for drinks.

Very friendly and polite Staff. The brealkfast buffet hat everything you could wish for and had everyday something new to offer. It was great. The swimming pool was also very nice. Being a British vedgetarian in the alps of Bravaria I knew that there were would problems with food. As northern Germans, we only knew the mountains when they were snow-covered and we wanted to change that with the family. The Hotel Alpensonne was the perfect starting point for this. The rooms are great, the food is great. In addition, sauna, swimming pool, billiards and table tennis at really fair prices. It's a very nice, small but modern restaurant. It can be seen that all dishes as prepared at the moment, very less from cans or refrigerated, everything tastes very good and fresh. Service is very good, there is always someone around taking care of your needs. They are very friendly and helping to know what to order. I would definitely come again if I'm somewhere here near.

The stay at the Hotel Steffl was very nice and we felt very comfortable. We had a great time with our one-year-old daughter at the Chiemsee and in the mountains and felt absolutely welcome in the hotel! The quiet location, the beautiful garden and the warm manner of the Steffl family (not to forget the great breakfast and very tasty dinner) delighted us! Thank you 😊!

The hotel is very familiar and very, very friendly and clean. You feel welcome right from the start, you get enough information about excursion destinations and there is a sufficient breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired. Inexpensive for Ruhpolding, although I don't know what it looks like when the Biathlon World Cup takes place there. We loved it and will come again. 👍👌 Thomas Felsch

Great view of the mountains and the Church of St. Georg, very nice family hotel with a great breakfast and only a ten-minute walk to the train station. Highly recommended.

Fantastic stay. Staff were superb & very helpful. Food was excellent, with a wide choice of breakfasts available. I would recommend this hotel as the perfect place to explore Rhupolding and the surrounding area. We would visit again given the opportunity.

Check and check out with very unpleasant recepionist/waiter. Didnt speak english, unhelpful, annoyed with our presence, no greetings, didnt provide any snacks to bier. He charged us for ,,city tax” even though booking already took that.
