Nice simple modern rooms, no fridge a minus, hot summer, no ac and big windows do not let cool air I very well. Front desk took a while to find in computer. Food tasty and nice selection. Very nice spa and pools. 10 euros to park leaves me a bit cold, but not a game changer. Overall, a very nice hotel, with a couple of glitches that can be easily fixed. Would recommend!

Wonderful view, high quality amenities, unfortunately small facilities with expensive entrance price. Further the whirlpool was as cold as the pool.

I can only suggest this hotel in Ruhpolding, Helds is amazing from all aspects, the staff are very friendly and supportive. Additionally, the food in the restaurant is very delicious.

This hotel is a gem! It’s in a small and quite village. Service is amazing, breakfast was always delicious. They have a restaurant and even a spa to relax at the end of the day!

This hotel is truly unique! Great location, great rooms, very good food. Everyone is nice, helpful and makes you feel at home. Definitely recommended. Unfortunately there is no pool, but all the other nice things make up for it.

We liked everything: location, stuff, rooms (extremely clean) , food (we celebrated here christmas) swimming pool. The only min was - it was extremely WARM in the restaurant. It was so warm that I couldn't enjoy the atmosphere.

We had a perfect stay. The food was outstanding and the also have a brand new Spa. All the staff was so helpfull with advise to visit places nearby. Salzburg is just about 30 minutes away. The rooms are refurbished and we one on the top floor with a mountain view.

Nice and quick service in the beer garden in the afternoon for good price so decided to test it for dinner also. Good atmosphere inside and quick service. Really good desert and was possible to get a small cognac to it.

Traditional nice hotel. Service can be improved both at the reception desk and at breakfast. For hiking: in Aug most of the cable cars were closed.

we spent a nice holiday in there 06.2018. Chiemsee is a nice spot for short vacation. Hotel is well connected either with train or by car. Room is quite & nice breakfast served.

Excellent room & exceptionally clean. Fine breakfast, and good nightly buffet in the restaurant.

Room was good, everything clean and working. People were friendly. Beds were good. Surroundings are great. Few minor points: no AC/fan on the room, got hot. 5 euro parking charge seems a bit weird for the area (no guard/fence). Oh, and very good Tom Kha Kai in the restaurant!

Being a British vedgetarian in the alps of Bravaria I knew that there were would problems with food. However, even though my mother emailed the hotel a week in advance and received a reassuring stating that being a vegetarian would be no problem and that they would have good food for us turned out not to be the case when we arrived. Immediately felt welcome. Our host has thought of everything a family might need during their stay. Was a lovely spacious apartment with wonderful views. The tax we paid was a bonus, giving us a local travel for free. We left the car at home and walked or used the public transport and lifts, saving us much money and being very convenient to access local walks. We hope to return again another time ourselves...

The holiday home is simply magical and leaves nothing to be desired. The owner is wonderful. We had a wonderful week and will definitely be back.

Everything is very nice and furnished in a modern Bavarian style. Above all, everything is available what you need on vacation and does not necessarily have to be brought from home. You can see the wonderful view and the panorama of the mountains from the balcony every day. From the house, many excursion destinations and sights can be easily reached on foot and by bike. Our vacation in the holiday house Eva was completely satisfactory and highly recommended for all those who are looking for a house with a great location, a beautiful view and a warm landlord. I just loved this place. The breakfast served was good. They provided us with a diaper changing mat and baby bed on request. Of course it costs 15€ additional price. They also let us wax the cross country skis and were very accommodating with check-in times too. Definitely will choose them when in the Ruhpolding

Only stayed one night but thought the hotel (and town) was worth a longer visit. Nice location, excellent room, the hotel has character and is in a nice spot.

Clean and rustic hotel. Rooms were very clean and plenty of room, including rails for drying wet ski wear. Staff were extremely friendly and polite and helpful. Would visit again.

Outstanding place to stay. On our recent visit to Ruhpolding from Ireland, we stayed at the Alte Sage. Stefanie and Harry were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room - Super. Breakfast - Super. Cleanliness - Spotless. Location - Super (beside the river). Stefanie, who speaks perfect English was always available for information, tips and directions. Highly, Highly Recommend. A very hospitable house. Very clean, well-kept and well-equipped apartment. Home-baked Christmas cookies and a small Christmas tree greet the guest as they move in during the Christmas season. I would have liked to give 5 stars. Check out was scheduled for 10:00 a.m. That wasn't entirely stress-free, as the cleaning ladies asked to be let in at 9.45 a.m. Therefore one star less.

Very nice guest house with a good breakfast buffet. Rooms very clean and nicely furnished. In 15 minutes you can walk to the center of the village, where many restaurants can be found. Great starting point for many activities. Gladly again at any time.

Excellent structure, impeccable service, all clean, breakfast room to scream and available until late evening for tea and coffee, room for relaxation and games, hospitable and collaborative owners and collaborators, cuddly cats, in nature, close to breweries, typical restaurants and not, easily accessible paths. It is a pity to have to go home.

We stayed one night only, and have plenty of good memories about it: quiet location, clean and cosy rooms (renovated!), drinks available 24/7 (self service, paid at check out), a very kind owner, delicilous breakfast and many others. Worth every euro spent there. Also the city of Ruhpolding is so nice, please take a walk around!

A hidden gem! Everything about this place is perfect. The rooms are cozy, comfortable, and have a great view. The breakfast was delicious. And the owner was super nice. I wish I stayed longer, next time I will for sure!

Eine sehr freundliche Gastgeberfamilie und es blieb immer Zeit für ein kurzes Gespräch. Die Einzelzimmer waren sehr groß und gemütlich eingerichtet. Frühstück mit allem, was das Herz begehrt. Das Abendessen im familienbetriebenen Restaurant war sehr lecker.

It's a very nice, small but modern restaurant. It can be seen that all dishes as prepared at the moment, very less from cans or refrigerated, everything tastes very good and fresh. Service is very good, there is always someone around taking care of your needs. They are very friendly and helping to know what to order. I would definitely come again if I'm somewhere here near.

The stay at the Hotel Steffl was very nice and we felt very comfortable. We had a great time with our one-year-old daughter at the Chiemsee and in the mountains and felt absolutely welcome in the hotel! The quiet location, the beautiful garden and the warm manner of the Steffl family (not to forget the great breakfast and very tasty dinner) delighted us! Thank you 😊!

The hotel is very familiar and very, very friendly and clean. You feel welcome right from the start, you get enough information about excursion destinations and there is a sufficient breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired. Inexpensive for Ruhpolding, although I don't know what it looks like when the Biathlon World Cup takes place there. We loved it and will come again. 👍👌 Thomas Felsch

Great view of the mountains and the Church of St. Georg, very nice family hotel with a great breakfast and only a ten-minute walk to the train station. Highly recommended.

Fantastic stay. Staff were superb & very helpful. Food was excellent, with a wide choice of breakfasts available. I would recommend this hotel as the perfect place to explore Rhupolding and the surrounding area. We would visit again given the opportunity.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Das Essen, sowohl Frühstück als auch Abendessen, war vorzüglich und abwechslungsreich. Die Zimmerausstattung ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber zweckmäßig und vor allem sauber.

wir haben uns auf unserer Durchreise- leider nur 2 Nächte - sehr wohl gefühlt. Besonders gut war das reichhaltige Frühstücksbüfett. Das Personal war stets hilfsbereit. Eine Wiederholung - auch für längere Zeit - haben wir schon auf unserem Kalender vermerkt.

Check and check out with very unpleasant recepionist/waiter. Didnt speak english, unhelpful, annoyed with our presence, no greetings, didnt provide any snacks to bier. He charged us for ,,city tax” even though booking already took that.
