Sercotel Hotel Rosellon

Location is amazing no doubt. But some employees at the reception need training, because were rude and plain ignored us, another couple arrived and were offered for extra 30€ to get a room with a view to the Sagrada Familia, nothing for us. The rooms are comfortable, but not sure when was the last time someone clean it, because was very dusty and the shower had mold. The towel dryer/warmer never turn on. Breakfast was good, one host was very nice, but the tall one was rough and I witness the way he screamed at another guest, she was not Spanish speaker. Again location is excellent, but the rooms are not worth their price. And almost forgot to mention about the windows that had a see through curtains and I am 100% sure the people who leaves across the building were able to see us if the lights were on.

Although this hotel was in the centre of barcelona and the location couldn’t have been better, there was a couple of negatives which have affected my overall review. For example, we paid an extra 200 for a balcony view and there was no actual balcony which for the extra money i thought there would be. On top of that, we were in room 703 and half of our balcony view was obstructed. Bearing these two things in mind it was not worth the extra money. It should not be advertised as a balcony room as there is no balcony and the window doesn’t open either. Furthermore, the parking was €20 a night which is ridiculous considering how much we have already paid to stay there. Considering i spent over £1,200 pounds on love holidays on flights and this hotel you would expect at least that the parking would be free and if not at least a low cost! Finally, your website advertised that in our room we would have a free, working telly but we did not. In order to fix this we rang reception to get someone to fix this issue and we were told they would come the next morning to fix it but they never did. Therefore, on top of all these costs we didn’t even have a working TV and no staff were sent to fix the problem.

The cleaning of our rooms was satisfactory and up to good standard and as mentioned the location was right in the centre of the city. Other than that, I find very few positives about this hotel when i consider the cost to stay. Would’ve been much better staying somewhere slightly out of the centre for half the price and better facilities.
