Amazing stay.
The staff was SO NICE. They gave me a big beautiful room. And of course it’s old inside the hallways but that’s to be expected with staying in the Gothic. The bed was comfortable and clean, they let me stay an extra hour when I was supossed to check out and held my luggage. Overall I will be back and am very happy I picked this spot. The area is super touristy but it’s perfect if you are new to vacationing here.

Hotel Condal is the perfect location for a long weekend stay. Literally in the centre of the old town Barcelona, 2 mins walk to the metro and La Rambla. Helpful staff at reception. Having some work done so will probably be even better once that is completed. Would go again for sure.

The room we chose was basic,clean and adequate. Close to all tourist attractions. You can walk to all these areas you don't need a metro. We paid about 158 euros, during the peak holiday season. Don't forget the nightly city tax. Nice staff. What did I not like? The air-conditioning unit temperature sensor or fan direction would make a sound every few minutes.

Under renovation - new rooms
This 50 room hotel is currently undergoing a major renovation. The first night we had a room with a broken toilet. The reception was very kind and upgraded us to one of only two rooms where the renovation was completed. What a difference!! The new rooms are VERY nice and have been renovated with grate taste and an eye on details. The location, the staff and the new rooms are highly recommended.

We were here for just a two night stay, but we loved it. Being right off La Rambla, the location is tremendous. The staff were super friendly and helpful as well.

Americans beware!! Hotel isn’t even close to a comfort inn or holiday inn back in the states. Not sure where or when they took the photos for the website, but it’s not even close to the room we had. The actual room is only 12ft x 12ft - a double bed with a 25 inch tv. There is nothing nice about the room. The bathroom is a tub with a shower head. The exterior hall (outside the room) has no lights - you have to use your phone flashlight to open the door. This may be considered a 3 star hotel in Spain but if that’s the case, Holiday inn would be a 5 star resort. Spend your money elsewhere. There are a number of hotels in tge area that we walked past that had rooms for $25-40 more per night. It’s honestly worth the extra money

Because of the construction it is very hard to find it. And parking is an issue as well.
