Fantastic accommodation in a great part of the city. Just off Diagonal, but easy access to bus and Metro into central Barcelona. In my opinion, this part of town is far preferable to the rather dirty town centre and Rambla? You won’t lack for great drinking and dining options around the Guitart. The rooms are impeccable and well priced. The staff are extremely pleasant. And the location is faultless.

In short; avoid the touristy spots and indulge in a classier area.

We are from the United States, traveling as a couple and the Hotel Guitart Grand Passage was the perfect option. When searching online it can be overwhelming but you will be happy to stay here. The hostess is so nice, speaks great English and helped us find great Gluten free options. Barcelona is a great city for Gluten allergens.

The room is large and clean. Location is good, many restaurants and pubs nearby. Lobby has free drinks and snacks once in a while.

They charged me less than expected and I had a very spacious beautiful room to a very good price. I asked for a late check out (one hour later) and they confirmed it to me via e-mail before hand without extra charge. I was able to hold my conference with very good internet connection and zero disturbances. Thank you!

The room is very big, the soundproofing is surprisingly good, the transportation is also very convenient, and most importantly, there are 3 beds, which is very comfortable overall. I highly recommend it.

Balconies are in fact small conservatories, glazed, check other reviews, it's a viewing point, not a balcony.
Requested room upgrade, was told no availability. Sent a screenshot of me pretending to book 3 of the upgraded rooms as available. Obviously don't like being told they're liars, no response from reception for over 10 days.
Much nicer hotels available in the area. If you're going to spend your money on a nice hotel, this is not it!! Keep looking elsewhere.

I stayed with my partner during Pride week in Barcelona.
We booked in advance and the price was not very high considering the area, just a few minutes from Paseo de Gracia and Diagonal.
For us it was the ideal hotel, because for the time of the year and the amount of people that were in Barcelona at that time the hotel was very comfortable, in a very quiet area and relatively cheap.
The receptionists have always been very available and prepared. Imagine that one of them spoke French with my partner and Italian with me, incredible.
I recommend it !

I Don’t recommend this place at all… Doesn’t worth it !!!

This is 2:15am and I decided to write my review now. I’m in the Hotel room , Trying to sleep cause I have busy day tomorrow. But there is a club or restaurant beside us and the music too loud which I can sing the songs with them. I can even hear people talking and shouting. It’s just crazy 😑
The Location is good, Close to bus stop and main street but The Room is super noisy , because everything is old in this hotel , So the Old windows doesn’t do anything about street noise. Any car passes you will wakeup.
The bathroom is so old and dirty , when you take shower the water temperature goes from Hot to Cold every 20 seconds and you have to adjust it again.
The room keys (Cards) doesn’t work properly so you have to go to lobby to reset them. We stuck behind our room door every day. So every tome we come back to hotel we ask lobby man to reset the key just in case , To not come back down again.

I wish I could record the sounds and put it in review … It’s unbelievably loud
